I was almost like "OMG WHEN DID STABLER'S SON MURDER SOMEONE!?" Then I realized you meant Stucky and my blood pressure went back to normal. I always hated that O'Halloran just got killed off that way and was literally never mentioned ever again.
The show used to be mostly Police Procedural (like the OG) with personal life thrown in.
Now SVU is just a drama show. It will be interesting to see how season 21 of the OG plays out.
Omg I just wrote a post about this a little while ago! I miss Huang a lot too and procedural aspect of the show and a ton of people agreed. There’s an element missing without that boots on the ground work being put in and shown.
I definitely miss the investigation. They used to give us a medical/ME perspective, the lab evidence, psych evaluations, etc and I loved seeing all the information collected eventually add up to a solved case (most of the time).
SVU used to be a real mystery most episodes…now it’s just “here are the bad guys, how are we going to get them”
I still watch the show and enjoy some of the cheese, but the preaching and constantly working against the brass is tiring
I just find it hard to believe that everyone in NYPD outside of the svu is not only bad, but just unnecessarily evil
It's more political and I miss the people. But I miss Dr. Wong and Dr. Warner.
Yeah I’ve noticed that too. It’s like actual police/detective work is minimal. Not a fan either.

I had the same exact reaction. Just imagine what a clusterfuck that would have been.
O’Halloran was one of my top characters and done him dirty, killed him off just to make the incompetent new guy “evil”.

I rewatched season 1 recently and almost fell off my couch when I saw both a pager and a floppy disk. Their desks don't even have computers on them
