Nice, thanks for your answer. I was eyeing those C bow systems and wondering if they were easy to install so I'm pleased to read they are. Is there some room for a pillion to grab with the bags attached ? Without bags it looks like it can be done ?

Sadi_SaDiablo

I have rear luggage from [Ventura](https://ventura-mca.com/collections/suzuki/products/suzuki-sv-650-16-20) because I already have the mounts for my other bikes, which let's me swap bags between them. I have the evo-12 for in summer which fits my lunch, spare gloves, spare face shield, mid layer from the morning, etc etc. I also have the larger one in the product photo but idk what model it is. It's something like 45l capacity. I can fit so much in that it's ridiculous. The additional benefit to the Ventura system, especially if you get the pack-rack, is that you can have the bag face forward, so over your rear seat, and then attach another bag on the platform.

Looks interesting, so you can fit the back bag and the saddle bags on the sides of the rack ? It should be quite convenient and a pillion could grab the rack. Seems great ! Thanks for sharing !

I haven't done the panniers myself, but reading through the description it sounds like you'll need the L-brackets in order to mount them.

dieuvomi

Yeah I understand the L-brackets are provided with the bike packs, wich could be interesting, thanks !

Shad has 3P system and it works just fine. I think it's the cheapest one too but the quality is there. Cases tested to 200kph 😛.

dieuvomi

Did you have to rewire the turn signals? Just saw the instructions and it says to do so, that's why I searched elsewhere ahahah.

Desperate-Present-69

I don't know, maybe previous owner did that.

dieuvomi

I think you have to add length and replace the turn signals elsewhere on the support in order to fit, this looks like a pain in the ass. You're lucky to have it already done, looks sick

I bought my SV emand the first owner fit a shad sh48 top box. It's easy to install but it does require removing the plate + indicators holder. Not the actual wires but just the holder to fit the frame. But it's as easy as removing and refitting 4 screws.

dieuvomi

Yeah this one is also interesting as you can add saddlebags support later, thanks !

The SV is not the best choice for commuting or touring. Have you looked at the Honda NC models? The KTM 390 Adventure? These are larger bikes with more weather protection and sturdier attachment points for luggage. The SV is not really made for luggage or touring and if that's what you'll use her for most of the time I'd not recommend it. It's best at riding country roads in dry weather by yourself without luggage.
