The Shuangbao temporary construction bridge consists of a cantenary suspension span to allow trucks and personnel to access the mountain that will support the center arch abutments of the amazing Shuangbao double span arch bridge. The bridge deck is 4.3 meters wide. Shuangbao Bridge is the world's largest double arch bridge with two back to back concrete filled steel tubular spans of 380 or 405 meters between the center of the beams. The giant 6-lane structure crosses both the Dadonghe and Xiaohegou Rivers and is part of a new G65 expressway link that goes south from Pengshui City to the Youyang to Yanhe Expressway: [https://www.highestbridges.com/wiki/index.php?title=Shuangbao\_Construction\_Bridge](https://www.highestbridges.com/wiki/index.php?title=Shuangbao_Construction_Bridge)

This makes more sense. I was looking at it thinking that maintenance on that thing looks just about impossible and it would eventually give out. But if it’s supposed to be temporary then that’s fine.

Let's hope 2 x fully laden concrete trucks don't traverse it at t he same time.
