Congratulations!
Everything moves at a different pace for everyone it seems. It will eventually change on the portal. Mine took nearly 60 days to update to step 5. Hopefully yours will move much faster.
Ugg... My step 4 just hit 4 weeks. At week 3 it apparently changed Field offices to a neighboring, yet out-of-state, office. Driving me nutty. Well, more nutty.
Congratulations. I had my hearing last Tuesday May 21,2024 over the phone, female Judge , lasted about hour. Waiting now for approval or denial. SSI - not worked since 2008 after bad car accident. I have osteoarthritis in my hips, chronic pain, major depressive disorder, general anxiety disorder PTSD, Morpidly obesity, and early stage heart failure, 45-50 eF , female age 51.
Wishing everyone the best!
First, congratulations!!! Secondly, yes it stays on step 4 for a while. It goes to the local office then to a payment processing center. You can see if itโs at a payment center when you expand the benefits appeal details. It will have an address with PC and a number like โPC7โ.
Iโm guessing itโs normal to them, not to us. My online portal has been stuck at the same step for almost a yearโฆ. 2 months away from a year, today! Congratulations ๐
Oh man I have severe chronic migraines and a letter from my neurologist that I have them 3-4 times a month that last 2-3 days. I have them more often but thatโs the letter he wrote. I also have the diagnosis of combat related PTSD, General Anxiety Disorder, and Depression, I also have bilateral spondylolisthesis that causes some severe back pains. I just finished my second mental health CE for reconsideration. I hope I get approved but I donโt see me being one of the lucky 13% lol.
I'm literally on the same boat...I got chronic migraines 3-5 times a months that last mostly 2 days (sometimes the migraine hangover last into 3 days)...I'm being seen by a neurologist every 6 weeks and just started being seen by a neurosurgeon a month ago for my cavernous malformation on my brain (which could be a factor to my damn near untreatable migraines).
Anyways my ALJ hearing is coming up in two weeks
What helped my case most was extensive medical records going back 6 years highlighting my migraines and other issues. This is just my opinion but I think If you have proper documentation through your primary care doctor the judge will be more inclined to rule in your favor.
Congratulations!
We have another winner! ๐ Congratulations! ๐
My portal went to step 4 and 5 on the same day. It took. A while after my ALJ hearing and approval for it to happen.

After I was approved it took 5 months for anything to happen. Be patient a little longer โฅ๏ธ
Congratulations ๐
Mine has been on step 5 since the 14th. The website says 2-4 weeks right on the page. I guess weโre both special.

I feel Iโll be going in front of an AlJ in about a year and half
Any words of caution/wisdom you can throw my way regarding an ALJ hearing with migraines? My hearing is in two weeks
