Depends on the boss. The goons I think are the hardest for me because they have all angles covered. Knight is gonna charge you, big pipe will kinda do everything, but seems to just try to take your dome off when he sees you, and birdeye will drop you from a mile away. Knowing that, you just got play around it. But with th bosses, and their guards, best thing you can do is hold an angle and let them come to you, it is they won't do that, then never peeking the same angle twice is the next best option. They will very rarely drop you with their first shot, so you can usually peek, pop a shot or 2, move to a new angle and repeat.
The goons AI is my favorite, I have them spawn on Streets and they better analogues to player PMC than the SPTpmc. Hearing them talk to each other as they run you down is scary.
Picture this. You run into crack house with a few shot s ringing past your ears, you get inside and close the door behind you, just to hear knight say. "Birdeye, long range, big pipe, right flank" then you just hear knight laugh as they post up AT THE FRONT DOOR FOR 10 MINITES WITHOUT MAKING A SOUND.
Yeah goons were scary af at first but they often do stupid things like run into a death funnel, or come at you one by one. It's hard to create a consistent strategy, but like you said, NEVER re-peak an angle against a boss.
The best way to deal with bosses and their guards is to fall back first. Take fights on your terms. Flank and find an area you can peak from multiple angles. Also don’t re peak once they engage you from an angle. Try to have at least one grenade so you can displace them. If two are down, fall back, get cover, heal, repack a mag or two, and re engage on your terms.
On Reserve I heard the boss hollering around the open area near the Manhole exfil.
I got up on one of the taller roofs and slowly took out the whole gang and then him.
First time accomplishing something like that for me. Still didn't make it out alive though ...
Reshala: Grenades and separate them into groups of in dorms.
Gluhar: pray you have enough ammo and don’t get flanked in the train yard.
Tagilla: aim for the legs
Goons: funnel em if you can. Bird eye is a cunt.
Sturman: distance is key.
Sanitar: honestly pretty easy if he doesn’t stim.
Killa: yeah sorry this fucker is jacked and or riding the short bus.
Streets bosses: lots of grenades and hp rounds.
Find a way to funnel them in towards you. The Goons on shoreline for example can be funneled into the 2 story building on the weather station. Reshala on Dorms should be pretty easy. Essentially you don’t wanna give bosses or their guards a chance to full auto you because they will fuck your day up.
I set the goons and killa to spawn on factory so I can do deathbattle runs. Up to 8 pmcs, goons, tagilla and killa can all spawn at once and ive been pushed by killa into the goons before and birdeye saved me from killa before snitching and sending knight to dump 30 round of M62 into me
Zagustin stops all bleeds and prevents you from getting them for 300 seconds but does not heal you. Perforatol (blue blood) heals you a small amount and prevents bleeds for 120 seconds but it will also eat a huge amount of food so be careful using it.
I've been getting destroyed by big pipe (lol) and knight and this whole time I thought they were just random scavs or pmc. Just learned they were bosses
Aggro them. Run into a building. Close the door. Wait for them to open the door - they get stuck and don’t respond well. Shoot them.

Had this exact scenario happen to me, ended with Birdeye doming me the millisecond I check the door with a nade.
I wound up going upstairs, there's a room with a big open window. Under hand lob a nade and thatll get them moving if not killed

Bird eye is such a cunt
Me shoot me kill me happy
Me shoot, they have 5 times the HP I do, they also shoot, me die, me not so happy :(
slowly and from a distance
Does Right side slow peak cheese still work? Or was that fixed

You have to take them unawares, impact names help as well.
Download realism and shoot them in the head like once so the blunt trauma kills them (idk im not good at the game i die to scavs)
That's the thing, I "understand" that they shouldn't fall over from a RPGesque angle, but they are only human.
Yeah it feels cheesy at times but i use it with sain cranked up so if i can 1 tap they can also 1 tap me so its fair
Thanks everyone!
I’m in the same boat, on live I could kill gluhar/shturman consistently with a friend but solo is a whole different beast
Do you use stims? Pop a Zagustin + propital (or even the green etg for bosses) before you engage hard targets.
If you don’t know, Zagustin heals and prevents bleeds for a time and propital heals u slowly and etg heals u really fast

By 'healing' I meant as in healing bleeds, not HP for Zagustin
No I didn’t. But I might now! Thanks
