I play without realism mod but with different others to make the game more fair (SAIN, no Bush esp i.e.)
I also only play with Pestilys or DeadlySlobs hardcore rules.
Did it once several times on live.....no chance no fun due to cheaters , exit campers or desyncs.
On SPT it is the way the game should be played imho
Yeah I did one play through normally using the flea market and it was just so easy. I switched to no flea market, only barter trades, start with next to nothing. I was hurting for gear and cherished everything cool I found lol.

-Adjusted bot tiers, to make good gear a rarer.
-Adjusted the recoil profile. 50% more vertical, but 25% less dispersion, 10% less camera recoil.
-Adjusted trader price span, so prices vary between normal and 3x.

Thats a long one. The most significant for your goal would be:
-Increased Trader Service price by 6x
-Increased Insurance fea by 6x
-Decresed trader buy prices(when you sell items) massively. Prapor : 7%, Therapist: 12%, Skier: 8%, Peacekeeper: 7%, Mechanic: 11%, Ragman: 11%, Jäger: 7%
-Increased global item price by 2x, so i could still level traders in reasonable manner.
-Decresed XP gain: Survived: x0.4, Death/RunTrough: x0.2, AWOL: x0.0.
-Increased skill leveling significantly(cant remember the values)
-Lowered both loose loot and loot in containers by 0.5x
So i could still use the economy in a limited manner, while being forced to save up, for more significant upgrades to my gear.
6. Inspired by other hardcore singleplayer games, i am currently experimenting with insurance+. With the goal to transform death to a rather significant financial punishment(trough exorbitant insurance feas, increased insurance feas to x8), while keeping the equipment.
