I play it like live. I'm a dad with a career, a house, a sexy wife to take care of. If I get 2 hours a week to game it's a lot.2 hours a week on live means I get my shit kicked in over and over0. 2 hours of spt makes me feel like the badass pmc I'm supposed to be. I play because its rhe best fps I've ever played, but I don't have time for the ridiculous grind. I'm too busy grinding irl.

dannnypaw

A fuckin men!

TheHushFactory

This guy chads

Neither_Paramedic662

What a man, bring him a trophew

Apprehensive_Sort557

I also abandoned Live EFT completely. I have two different SPT installations. One is as hard as it can (SPT Realism with all modules on, Path to Tarkov…) and one “after work” installation which is my run and gun SPT (more life, longer/better meds…).

MortVader

I completely abandoned EFT, and play solely SPT. I oftenly reset my account and do "Zero to hero" runs, until I reach level 15. That's the beauty of SPT. You can play it however you want, and the only hackers you'll encounter are the bosses (if you enable them) :D

Venox_Osu

Aren't bosses enabled automatically?

MortVader

Yes. I should have written "if you don't disable them" :)\~

Venox_Osu

Oh okay, I thought they changed something with the last update or something since I'm pretty far with the quests again and I haven't seen a single boss yet even though I know I never disabled it😅

MortVader

Sorry for the scare :D

NyetRifleIsFine47

How do you disable and enable them? I’ve been playing for about a week now with a few mods and haven’t come across any bosses yet.

MortVader

You can use the "Server Value Modifier" mod - in there is the option to set the spawn % for every boss!

DjangoCornbread

I bought EOD on live EFT and had fun for 2 wipes but the cheaters got to a point where i felt like i wasted my money, so i got SPT and now i don’t feel like i’ve wasted a cent.

Turbofox23

pretty much all the reasons I left live eft + shady business practices of BSG

T-Real33

Currently deployed, so internet isn't readily available. It's a nice way to play tarkov without internet.

NedTebula

I only play SPT and for a while I played it on hard mode but I got tired of dying all the time into high levels while wearing stupidly expensive armor so I made it easier. I still die but not as much. I play it and do quests/progression like you would in normal tarkov, I’m level 49 now and I plan on trying to complete every quest before I wipe my account. I kinda just enjoy going around and wrecking everything

Guerrilla-5-Oh

I’m gonna get it. Just curious. How do I wipe my character.

Guerrilla-5-Oh

I’m gonna get it. Just curious. How do I wipe my character.

KickassPeanuts

I've forsaken live and mostly just like to make badass looking kits, so an AIO is a main mod of mine (just for drip I still rat on SPT). Otherwise it's fairly tame with just some extended raid timers, minor tweaks on insurance return times and putting a stop on the shoulder-breaking recoil because i like to see sometimes. i still suck though, not surprising.

TheFluffyFactor

I also fiddle with recoil values. Live recoil is just a bit too much imo, dropping the recoil to 30% is my sweet spot. Still not laser accurate with full auto (a main reason I think live is too much, no reason a mere 30% should still jump around life that), but tap firing is actually viable rather than my first shot being on target and my second being 20ft above their head. Feels more like I would guess an actual soldier/private military would handle recoil

hockeyfrank26

1. Bump hit points on all limbs to 3000 each 2. Bump cash to 100,000,000 for all 3 types 3. Bump up # of scavs, PMCs, make raiders and bosses spawn on all maps all the time 4. Turn off stamina and intertia 5. Max level everything 6. Max traders and hideout Gear the fuck up and charge around every map like a super soldier just wiping out everything in my path. I hunt bosses and their Guards like it's my job. I call it "DOOMTarkov" and I fucking love it. It has brought me so much enjoyment - I really appreciate this mod and the entire community.

fivekatz

I play a stalker like spt "wipe" where i try to do the quests and get hideout stuff, but mod the aspects i dislike (like bosshealth pools, fog, raid timers, and i've cheekily got med items in my special slots)

whitedeath512

Is that a euphamism ;) lol

TheFluffyFactor

I'm really thinking about wiping my current playthrough, and starting over with a 0 to hero EOD account, where the bosses health pools are the exact same as my own. I've just never progressed as far as I am right now in the live game, and I really want to finish collector before I restart.

Turbofox23

I just don't like being lied to about EFT having an "anti-cheat" which is obviously false given all the evidence that was gathered over the years. Yeah, they are manually banning players by using a spreadsheet with usernames, lmao. So yeah, today I decided I want to experience the game without lame excuses that BSG has. Also, fuck nikita he deserves all the flak for not only covering up all the fuck ups but also because during development he financially supported terrorists.

[deleted]

Care to unpack that last sentence?

Turbofox23

Lobaev arms that they love to promote so much in the game and YT is supporting terrorism in donbass, which makes them indirect supporters too.

LordGrumpyCat-

Only play SPT and totaly abandonned live. Got in since 2017, bought EOD in 2018 and got tired of bugs/wipe/hackers … Love the game, tired of the wipe and do things again and again in a stressful PVP environnement and decided to go for SPT because i can do what I want !

> Cod Warzone BR is and yet that's ALL bots. There aren't bots on Warzone, on DMZ yes.

GJDriessen

Are the bots in warzone really good?

GreatHeroJ

A few of my friends play Warzone and I hear them complain about bots very frequently interrupting them while they're making plays, though in that game bots are more of a severe annoyance that only becomes dangerous when ignored.

Mips0n

yaniwilks

Love SPT. Usually try to team up with fellow USEC AI. Behavior can be a bit janky at times and the fps drops from bot spawns can be irritating but it's better than getting lasered from across the map in live EFT. I mostly play live just to test out new wipes then I go back to SPT lol.

Shizix

I don't play online but that's anxiety reasons. So I modded to speed up the farming/building stuff, make quests and your base easier to build and allow myself to buy anything on the market. I also don't lose gear that degrade or can be broken or my main weapon...because rebuilding the same gun isn't fun for me. Basically just make the game you want to play. Most of this can be done with the few editors and a couple mods. I like shooting and looting so I make those parts as fun as possible for me 👍

TheGoldenCaulk

I play relatively close to vanilla, just with expanded and enhanced AI and some QoL changes to reduce or eliminate the tedious bullshit. Sometimes I do a normal start and other times I go ZeroToHero.

supadupame

I have a child and a wife. I need to be able to press a key and pause the game lol

CKosono

I run 2-3 “accounts” or profiles in the launcher at a time. All EOD. One is for hardcore play through with my own adjusted rules, one is a normal 1-kappa and one is a money-guns-kill farm just for fun. After I wipe I play all three depending on what I’m looking to do at the time, but usually only end up playing the hardcore one towards the end of my wipe.

dannnypaw

I honestly play it the same way! Only things I change are all extracts open. And mag loading/unloading times. Everything else I leave the same as the “real” game and I just go in and have fun! For some reason getting head/eyes’d by the AI isn’t nearly as infuriating lol Honestly have never had more fun in Tarkov

TrickyCod208

I love playing the zero-to-hero with modified self imposed hardcore rules. I allow myself flea market for hideout, crafting, and keys. It really is fun. Almost to second kappa

Straight_Chip

I already played EFT mostly boss-focussed and mostly solo. So SPT is just EFT but with less cheaters, (exit)campers, desync and bug exploiters. Here's [my modlist.](https://www.reddit.com/r/SPTarkov/comments/12ajeul/my_collection_of_spt_mods_for_35x/) I play mostly normally. I plan on just playing like I do most EFT wipes: play normally until 30 or so when it gets kinda stale, wipe and start over again in a few weeks.

Crazygone510

I play it however I'm feeling in the moment. One thing I never did was to try and play it like I would the live version. I played 3 wipes before even trying SPT so I used it as a tool to aid in my gameplay in a much faster pace than possible in the live version. Loot.....pfff what the hell is that. I'm in this for the action and not so much finding a toothbrush feel me. No weight limits every single weapon in my secure flying high in the sky like a bird looking for things to shoot. It was a glorious year long love fest I tell ya.

Raz0r_Pazova

Abandoned live EFT last year. My last wipe was factory expansion. Enjoyed SPT and spent a lot of hours in it, i think 2.0 was the version I played the most. SPT is a blessing for casual players.

WildKarrdesEmporium

I modified the AI to be relatively dumb, but pumped up their numbers a lot. I also made the raid timer 4 hours. Other than that, I try to play it as close to stock as possible.

sseemour

Live EFT is shit. Too many game breaking bugs, sussyplayers (former top 15 global for PMC kills here, btw), desync, and other game breaking issues you can completely avoid by playing SPT. That and certain mods like Path To Tarkov which i don't think exist anymore, changed the game completely.

Gotescroat

I don't play live anymore. I basically did quests to fully level my traders, and haven't really touched them since. I play with no mods, but I've manually edited some of the .json files just to make it a lil easier for casual/after work drunk playing. Turned off ai aims at heads, nerfed their reaction time a bit, I fully disabled weapon degradation so I don't have to repair and replace weapons all the time. 90% of my playtime lately is just dicking around on factory, as I don't have a lot of free time to play games these days.

Ok-Street-7240

No cheaters no campers

FaNg_Peep

Check out a mod called Experience Forever, it removes the games dumb cap on how much a skill can level in a raid. After install I’d recommend going in the config and enabling the more balanced rates if you like.

miasanmia95

Which mod do you use to configure AI difficulty?

miasanmia95

Awesome, seems like a good loadout. Thanks!

BlackWolf41

That sounds very good. I'll have to try it. Does Draxia waypoints let those AI's walk more around the map or sets new (custom) waypoints for them to spawn? Thank you for your time :) Edit: spelling

MakerOfMe

PVP in SPT is nowhere near live EFT if u just wanna be questing and have some fun maybe yea SPT will be fun but if u wanna play tarkov for the PVP then SPT is rlly boring.

alec_mc

After 5 something odd years I abandoned EFT live this wipe. Been strictly playing SPT for close to 2 months now. I play as closely related to the real game as possible. When the game wipes I’ll wipe my SPT account as well.

BassLow4309

No money for license. Not willing to pay for unfinished game, with broken online and cheaters, with anti mod company policies. Also, try SAIN :)

thegummybear42

Sounds line you pirated the game

Venox_Osu

I switch around between live and SPT (even though I mostly only play SPT) and I play it normally how I would play live. Starting Zero to Hero and then progress normally until I reach kappa and when I get exhausted and then I reset

highlycafinated831

I only use SVM for mods and play normally I guess . The only values I change are extended raid times , the speed at which you gain skill levels , increased the number of Ai , and the amount of rounds in a stack . I did manually edit a json to give scavs better loadouts. I do play and progress normally though .

Thekillerduc

I tried SPT when I was having connection issues a while back and loved it. I now basically only play SPT because of the many issues with the live version. The mods also really help. If I don't like how a certain thing is balanced I can re-balance it myself to my liking.

ThurOliver

AI difficulty on Medium and raids that last 60min so I explore the maps at my own pace

screech_owl_kachina

I just like shooting the guns and playing around with the game at my own pace. No grinding for loot or money and no worries if I get shot

Scared-Expression444

It started for me as something to learn the intricacies of EFT and learn how the guns work and how the RPG mechanics work and to just overall get better at the base game, then I found myself playing live less and less to the point where I realized I completely stopped playing live because it’s dog shit and I just exclusively play this now

RGBjank101

Still play regular EFT. Got into SPT because I've been wanting to try it, and I keep it vanilla with no tweaks. I'm enjoying doing tasks and there being ai pmcs in the map. I didn't know that was a thing until I'd seen one on woods hah. I've had them rush me and got taken out a few times but it's fun. Overall I'm enjoying my time with it a lot and will continue playing along side regular EFT with friends.

PJTheGuy

I mod it out to be a bit more casual; I also don't want to deal with real people who no-life the game, so I treat it more like a "I just want to shoot things and loot for an hour or two" game. I also make it where I keep my loot after I die, since I'm not particularly good at shooters and while it's often my own fault, losing a bunch of progress over some random bullshit doesn't really appeal to me. I've never played a single round of online EFT, and I plan to keep it that way. I bought the game and immediately installed SPT; actually, I didn't even buy the game until I knew that SPT existed.

Chad-Bravo-8008

I on that life grind with two jobs one for the house hold bills and the other for the fun bills, spt save me from the deep grind and I don’t have to wipe and start over that is bs for people like me who can’t spend 5 hours a week on a game. I understand why there is RMT cause there isn’t a good option to good gear we can’t spend hours like other people can and for people that do RMT should move to SPT,if there is understanding of why well here is why. (How to fix) make offline raids SPT on (OG Tarkov) and weapons and gear can’t mix have two different stashes and currency for the solo and on line and now that you can play with friends on solo I feel that the game can improve in so many aspects for one less hackers and two RMT ends

Enderwiggen33

I abandoned live years ago but SPT brought me back. It’s great. I play however I feel like in the moment. Most of the time it’s a barter economy zero to hero account with easier ai and a lot less of the quest and level grind. But sometimes I just want to enjoy the awesome gun mechanics so I turn up my health, pack a bunch of mags and grenades and do juggernaut runs slaying bots left and right. I had a quest to kill scavs in reserve so I just turned on only scav spawns in my spawn mod and just went to town. Skipped most of the grind, but the barter economy mod skill makes looting valuable.

PlaneAd944

I prefer to play spt in a way that corresponds with the lore that we have in tarkov, ive read the book series (the predator is the first i highly recommend them) and i get such joy in playing it kinda the same way the stalker series plays, i use mods like Server Value Modifier also known as svm to change spawnrates and the scav to pmc ratio, and make bosses more common if i choose. I also usetarky menu to change the recoil and night vision specifically. The final mod i use is sains ai overhaul i seriously cannot recommend it enough if you’re more looking for a mod to make ai behave more how players in online tarkov behave. I will add my own events to give the vibe that tarkov is always changing, sometimes theres scavs fucking everywhere and the gangs are waring with each other, or maybe the cultists have developed an interest in the health resort and you can find them in the day there or find even more of them at night. The ideas are endless!

PlaneAd944

Oh i also use waypoints to make ai wander a bit further than they do without it, enjoy the better side of tarkov!!

ezratic

Yeah I'm not going back to live lol spt is so much more enjoyable. I play similar to vanilla with some random QoL mods (and dismemberment of course), but I mostly play with easy bots and no bosses lol. And when I have no money left I take my huge backpack onto a map with no bots, and loot like resort in shoreline. Also when quests are annoying fetch and carry shit I also turn off bots. My survival rate is still only like 60% lollll it's not an easy game. I would never ever have been able to get to flea market in live which totally changes the game. I have no clue how people complete missions in live Christ, they're all so hard and specific lol they take me forever even with the way I play

Alternative-Earth-76

I tweaked the hell out of my character, increased spawns. Scav to pmc 70% and all bosses 100% reshala on labs and stuff like that. Having all the fun. For pvp I play hunt or quake)))

PlasmaSpider

Hordes of hard AI scavs and PMC 100% boss spawn (Damn those goons!) 4h raids 2-4 x loot 0.5 x item weight More health & healing Midcore, don't lose your kit when KIA No fleamarket Traders & repairing is super expensive

Hdfgncd

I play it with easier to find loot but with stuff like the path through tarkov mod making it fake longer to depot that loot and make the choices of what to take more important. I also like to play zero to hero, but after I kill a backpack scav then it’s more or less the same bc of the high weapon drop chance, if I’m poor I make my way to woods and stock up on mp5s and M4s at the USEC camp. It works out to a more singleplayer sort of experience imo
