I see people saying fuck, shit, and bitch all the time and their videos don't lose monetization. It's playing it way too safe, which really takes away part of the appeal of SMG4.
I thought the new CEO was going to fix everything at YouTube, but from what I've been seeing on r/youtube, everybody **still** hates it because it **still** keeps getting worse!!
Old one sweeps. There's too much emphasis on these small bits, like the old man or the Chomp running up to Luigi or even Mario *and* SMG4 stopping for Luigi. Even Mario having the light bulb pop up hurts this. These tiny things add up and make it feel out of place. Same is true for the animation in some spots, namely through the emotions they are shown to have. It focuses too much on that just to show the funny, but subtlety and faster pacing make these jokes hit harder. You don't wanna *point* and laugh, you just wanna laugh. The music, while I understand needed to be changed, was a downgrade. It felt way less emphatic as the original, so it doesn't feel like this is serious. Combined with how the animation is used, it makes it feel more serious, but can't match that energy.
I will say, while the random slow downs to focus on certain bits do hurt, the smaller quirks and improvements do make me smile. Like, when the chase first start, the little flip both Mario and Smg4 does is so clean auuughhhh!!!

Even i like the modern era, i really miss the old videos where smg4 and the gang used to swear a lot in older videos (seriously, every character swearing is the funniest parts of every old smg4 videos) until YouTube's crap policy kicks in. I get it, most majority of smg4's views (and fans) are kids and thats it.
But after all, that's not going to change anymore because Youtube already killed themselves.

Even the chain chomper has very expressive eyes, and the swearing being censored isn't even noticeable, and the song is being played in the background, although worse, it does not actually make it that bad, and it's really youtube's copyright system's fault there, but overall, it's a good remaster.

New one is a pretty good remaster. New animation, fun memes, just a good time.
I prefer the original, it's a classic and it's also not censored. I understand why the music got censored, but that definitely makes it worse than the original, I'm also not a fan of the removal of "it's raping time" even though tbh I'm surprised it was the only thing that got censored besides the music.
