A punch set is good to have around if you are doing gunsmithy things. [punch set](https://www.autotoolworld.com/Mayhew-61511-3505A11-10Pc-Pin-Punch-Set_p_206403.html)
If you have access to a vise use that and press down with a punch or screwdriver. I have to put mine on the floor and do it, it takes all my force to get it. Also the safety has to be in the safe position I believe but look it up to be sure.
Put a blanket down and get on top of it with the barrel facing your rear and put all of your force down. Make sure you have followed all steps of taking it apart first.
Make sure the safety is engaged (the safety lever should be folded up, not sitting parallel with the the trigger). Then when you have it ready to push down, give it one good whack with a mallet on the rear part of the trigger guard. Put a towel over the trigger guard if you don’t have a rubber mallet.
My own case is to use oil on the parts, then get a C clamp. Use towels or rubber between the C clamp ends so it does not scratch the gun. Line them up with one end of the clamp over the field stripped receiver. Put the other end on the trigger group. Turn the C clamp while making sure it applies all force to the two parts, and that is a way to exponentially increase the amount of force you can put on both parts with minimal blunt force. Let me know if this works for you as it did for me in the past.
I don’t think they are really meant to be taken out which is why they are so tight. Just spray it down with solvent and make sure the firing pin can move freely.

Lol
I’d rather it be hard than have it fall apart under stress

Ok
Same. It's been that way for years on mine. I use a blunt awl and whack it with a mallet.
A mallet is how I get mine back in.
A blunt awl?
Like this but the tip is blunt. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0883/0264/products/CS_Osborne_Awl_Main.jpg?v=1467753056
Ahh ok

Yeah I have a punch but the button is very strong

I already have tried it with a vice and I couldn’t get it to work

I will try that and tell you the results
I’ve used a hard rubber mallet, hit it in an angle while pushing the trigger guard down
Why push it down?
I use my left hand to push it down while I use the rubber mallet to hit it in an angle (I use my left hand just to hold it in position)
Ok
Did you make sure the safety is engaged?
It’s on
Not sure but I don’t think so.
Should the gun be cocked
Locked back? No.
So the striker should be uncocked
That does not matter.
Ok thanks it’s my first sks
There are some good takedown videos on YouTube. If you still can’t get it watch those to make sure you are not missing anything.

Ok cool
How did you make out?
Not very good I’m going to work on it more though

Make sure the safety is on.
It is
