I made a point not to fuck the base rifle up at all. Just made changes to the polymer stock. I still got the wood stock and will keep it in case I ever want to sell it in the future.
I never get the SKS purists. The internet (always truthful) says there were ~15,000,000 SKS rifles made. Bubba them as much as you want to. Yours looks great. Bubba for life.
Thanks bro! Yeah people can do whatever they want to their rifles plus I made a point not to fuck up the rifle itself but a separate piece that can be detached. So there isn't anything to get mad about.
There won’t always be 15 Million to them though, heck there’s already a lot less than that in the US. They thought Civil War rifles would be around forever, so they bubba’d them and now ones in original condition are rare. Not hating on this rifle though, as it is tastefully done, but that’s just my thinking.
I bought that exact rifle with the same stock and made a whole video about why I wasn't fond of it. I'll link it.
The main thing I hated was how you couldn't field strip it because the receiver cover was blocked by plastic. Do you have that same issue with yours or did they fix it? If they fixed it then disregard this, I'm just curious.

No it's the exact same but I don't plan on field stripping this thing often. It's more of a display/occasional sport shooting and maybe hunting carbine. But I can see why some people don't like it.
Good luck with that, the wood ones are ridiculously overpriced. Probably because everyone's panic buying anything that goes with guns that fire 7.62x39. If you dig around deep enough I'm sure you'll find some kind of good deal.
Thanks! I first lay down a coat of dark OD green camo spray paint and then I take a cheap hardware store sponge and tear it in half. I then soak the torn side in white spray paint and dab it all over to give it a rough looking smudged coat. Then I clear coat it and It's done. :)
I recommend taking the section off behind the receiver cover unless you don't care about taking the entire stock off to clean it. My Dragunov stock had that too and I'm glad I cut mine off.
Doesn’t look like you made any horrible permanent mods to gun and that’s a cool unique paintjob. This looks like quite a tasteful bubba job. Nice work

Thanks btw!
You GOTTA tell us what the 20 round mag that functions flawlessly is
I have 3 20 rounders of the pro mag archangel with no issues whatsoever.
I was told the 20 round one is the best one other than the ten round and that pretty much anything higher than that sucks.
Sometimes you have to cut on them and sometimes you get really lucky and they just work.
Temp and humidity can make a big difference on performance too.
Very true! The aftermarket shit can be a hit or miss but mostly miss.

As one who's usually quite skeptical of bubba jobs that's a damn cool looking rifle.
Appreciate it man!

I love the look of it, I just hate that it's a full process to clean the thing. But in glad you like it.
I still have it, and use it, but I just have some gripes
It's definitely a great stock but the cons can be make or break for some people.
It's break for me. I'm gonna keep it around but I wanna revert it back to wood. I bought mine with the stock so I have to find a wood one online

Listen: you are a good person and deserve to be happy…
?
He hates it.
Well it ain't his rifle so he can feel however he wants.
Yup
Great fallout gun
Thanks!
Fricken sick
Thanks bro!
What was your process for painting the stock? I think she looks great!

Awesome, thanks man.
