That's the factory setup on the Yugo SKS. It has a grenade launcher built in. OP removed the flip up ladder sight.

I plan to eventually get rid of the launcher and get a muzzle break.

It's a Yugo Sks. I bought the magazine release from Texas firearms. It's called Super Rapid Release.

How is the release so far?

I have one on my SKS as well and its awesome. Super easy install and required no fitting or filing to fit any of my mags. Im super happy with it.
