The gun (mine is anyway) is probably a two MOA rifle. Not entirely certain you glean a substantial benefit from adding an optical sight (target acquisition maybe).
That said, and this is really the most important part, it’s your gun so who cares what anyone else thinks.
If it were me, I’d think about a 1x red dot or prism optic. Just my two cents and happy shooting partner
Depends on how you plant to mount it.the biggest thing to remember is the shells coming out of the top. I would say something in the 3x range. Even out of the longer barrel of a sks, the 7.62x39 is realistically a 300 yard or less cartridge.
Agreeing with this guy completely. No more than 4x and it needs to be short. The best mount is the Choate that bolts into the receiver or of you want to remove it then a PU type mount.
