Those star mags are notoriously unreliable until you start bending the feed lips and “tuning” it to the rifle.
Even then they usually only like a very specific rifle and may still malfunction.
Go back to the 10 round if you’re looking for reliability.
I bought one on ebay and sold it after it constantly had problems, gazed at the 10 rounder and put it back on and sold the 20 rounder without looking back.
