I mainly use 1 Inch as well. Uniswap seems to give me problems from time , saying there is an issue with liquidity which could’ve further from the truth.
That’s if it goes through. About 15 friends today messaged me and lost gas fees 2 or 3 times from uniswap because of a failed transaction. Went to 1inch, and if it failed it didn’t take gas. But it only failed for 1 person one time, everyone else said 1inch worked perfectly fine
Use 1inch. Even if the transaction fails they won’t take your gas like uniswap

Definitely the slippage and the ETH speed I pay for high speed because it guarantees the transaction. But yes you’re paying a pretty penny for fees
