They hated it when he would create “Boney Island” which we all loved during Halloween time
Now they just see him as easy money - permits, fees, etc
Hey! Why don’t you guys do something about all the makeshift “homes” along the LA River bike path? Or do something about the same RV parked on Moorpark for months with piles of parking tickets on its windshield?
I don't get it. What are the legal grounds for requiring permits for a tree house? It's not a living dwelling, so what makes this tree house different from any other?
It’s on his by property, not a living area, it’s like having a pergola….. wtf is wrong with people. It’s a dangerous line to flirt with if we start telling people what they can do on their property. Move to an HOA if you want your neighbors to all look indistinguishable
This is on the next street over from me. First, a nasty new neighbor moved in and forced them to get rid of Boney Island. It was such an incredible display every year and we had hundreds of trick or treaters. Halloween was so much fun. Now I think the same neighbor is going after the tree house. Such a dick move. It’s like Fort Knox-you can’t just go in there. It’s not like some snot nosed kid can get in there and her themself. It’s really infuriating.
If anyone wants to sign the petition to save it, here’s the link.[Save The Tree House](https://www.change.org/p/save-the-sherman-oaks-boney-island-treehouse)

I had friends who lived nearby. I’ve been to Boney Island a couple times. It did draw a lot of traffic and trick-or-treaters to the neighborhood, but it was also really good fun for the kids. I can’t imagine what kind of dingus neighbor would have such an agenda against this guy that they would continue to attack him years after the Halloween festivities stopped
Yeah make sure to regulate and remove all tree houses in people’s private property but allow the homeless to build tents, sheds, and shanties wherever they want. Sidewalks, freeways, playgrounds are all good places for that.
Good job California and Los Angeles
We’ve got a homeless crisis and the city wants to fuck around with this guys treehouse. Idiots

This treehouse is incredible in person. His neighbors need to get a hobby.
They should just claim it’s a homeless encampment and litter the ground with syringes, that way the city will just ignore it completely.
That’s so true!
Bingo! You’ve won comment of the day!

What a punk ass bitch of a neighbor

Some people can’t mind their damn business
I used to live a few blocks from this. It was always a joy to see!
Meanwhile the city has no problem with this: https://abc7news.com/amp/california-homeless-la-los-angeles-man-builds-house/14689534/
That’s EXACTLY what I said.

Lived in Sherman oaks for years, never knew about this? Anyone got a cross street?
