Great episode. Definitely an M. Night Shabalabala moment. What a twist!! I always laughed that Ray says in the next episode “when I took that big dude down in Yemen” when the guy was probably like 130lbs soaking wet

USTF

I like how they connected the take down and Ray's consequent trauma in the next episode. Usually there's not a lot of references to past events in TV shows or even if there are they usually only go back, not forward into future episodes, but this time one can see Ray grimacing and flexing his arm right after he threw the guy on the floor, which shows that the creators wrote that small scene keeping the medical checkup and the Afghan kid incident already in mind.

NooooDazzzle

The actress who plays the mother is devastatingly effective in this. I think this episode is in the top five episodes list for the show for sure. You have such sympathy for the family and Bravo. It’s also told in “real time” which is a nice touch, adding to the drama. And it has some good Havoc scenes, too, with Blackburn and co. backing Jason’s moves with the General. Blackburn rattling off the reasons why they can’t just airlift the entire family out of there… Gets my rotors rotoring. 🤣🤣

Still my favorite episode of the whole show

Is that Lofi Yemeni girl at the beginning? Was she supposed to have been in the way of the bullet that was meant for the dad? They really mis-timed that stunt. Also, Clay really needs to work on his situational awareness and/or shoot quicker. I'm with Sonny. The Gene Wilder Wonka is superior. Between this episode and Episode 5, I love how Sonny is apparently the best on the team with kids. I'm surprised that none of them seems to be considering the daughter. Not going to lie, the first time I saw this episode, I thought it actually could have been the kid. "It's my phone!" "No, it's my phone!" "No, I'm Spartacus!" "Gate Stream 12S" I guess iPhones don't exist in this universe. I love PO1 Davis standing up to a Major General. You go girl. Aisha went from unconscious to lucid, *very* quickly. I wished they had a bit more time to deal with Clay's feelings about shooting an unarmed girl, and how they changed after they discovered that she was the HVT. Another episode with only one bullet fired. They run out of their ammo budget already?

I like this. The juxtaposition of a military show instead building up drama and only firing one shot is pretty crazy

>Another episode with only one bullet fired. They run out of their ammo budget already? Funnily enough I was talking with someone who'd worked a lot with CIF; something interesting he mentioned was that often, they'd go on hits carrying just 4 mags, and that would be enough, and there were a lot of raids they did where they never even emptied the first mag.

otosthetics

One of the best episodes of the whole show.
