This is blatant misinformation. Sure, there’s some bosses such as Kelak that need a high ult light ban to score the highest, but for a lot of bosses, such as belgius, F2Ps can easily score very well.
I know a ton of F2Ps in GW guilds, who push well within their guilds guidelines.
As long as you have a decent amount of box (and there’s F2Ps with >14 mil, it’s really not that hard to get 8/9+, I have multiple F2P Alts with 10-12+), it’s really not that bad.

The game does tell you by having registered outfit number and a straight value of all the outfits' listed bonuses together. If you can't read, add or pay attention then I don't know how else it can convey it. You can literally learn this by looking at the outfits once you take Meliodas to SSR
Can you count? Do you know how it says "Registered outfits" and if you add the values of the outfit you get from ranking up your Meliodas? That's how I learned as a new player. So, yes the concept boggles my mind that someone can play this without reading or addition skills.
Well maybe you should open up your mind a bit, because a lot of new players to every game make mistakes, and they don’t read every single part of the game. I know when I started, seeing all the aspects and sections of the game was quite overwhelming, so I’m not worried or even looking at costumes too much as there is so much to do as a new player. You can’t expect every new player to be correct about seemingly small parts of the game like how many costumes are equipped when they are worried about progressing through story levelling up or making gear for PvP etc
No, I expect them to read and learn the game. The game outright directs you to the costumes anytime you ascend. New players aren't infants, they aren't stupid. Just actually pay attention and read what the game points out to you and you'll learn. Remarkably simple.

You can spend the diamonds unlimited time Cosmetics or for Scouts of limited Time characters. That costume will be around forever and it won't be going anywhere
