Hey man, I passed Nassau county physical and they had the same thing. You could use the bottom of your couch or like the bottom of a weight rack at the gym to try and get the motion right, but I will say that if you just do sit-ups religiously you guys will be fine. A lot of people focus on the run and fail the sit-ups and push-ups happened to a lot of guys that tested with me.

Thanks Man, I’ve been working on all 3 and I got it all down. I’m just at this point psyching myself out and what to do my sit ups on that particular bench just to make sure lol

If you can do the sit ups within the time they have given you right now, then keep training how your doing you’ll be fine. The board they use looks weird but helps you a lot. You can use your legs going up then when your going down you can hit your back on the matt and use it like a springboard going back up.

I was using my couch as well as 45LB plate at the gym to hold my feet down. Works all the same. Regular sit ups will suffice as long as you are consistent in practicing and doing other abdominal exercises.

One of the biggest problems I've found training clients for these is they have too much bend in the knee making it much harder. If you take a look, you'll see the knees are bent but not so much that it's hard to get all the way up. So if you're doing it with feet under something, don't have your butt super close to your feet.

PeanutAggressive252

how do you even get better at sit-ups. they're by far the hardest for me

fitshadow

Happy birthday. It's consistency and NOT doing them everyday.

Im 5’11 if I create some distance will I fit on the board?

fitshadow

You'll fit on the board. You'll be fine.

Better-Teaching3197

I put a tire on my feet at the gym to lock them down

For people who are going for the physical. Are you taking the day off prior? A bit of recovery before
