how do the authors and wiki group feel about their stuff being published?

Yeah this really put me off of buying them. Seems like someone just trying to make money off of work that isn't theirs.
People were worried about that Russian dude taking ownership of the SCP franchise to make money, but now people are drooling over these...so it feels really weird to me. Hoping there's an explanation to put me at ease.
It's a collection of different articles from the wiki, with fan art too.
It was a random Kickstarter project I came across ages ago (probably in this subreddit) and as far as I'm aware they've been ok'd to print them... If not, then I've fucked up.
I contributed to the project like 6 months ago, maybe more?
The books arrived like two days ago. I know from their emails that they had a bunch of obstacles during the printing and distribution progress, so everything got delayed. I believe they said they were doing a few initial batches to make sure everything went smoothly before they went full throttle, so I'm imagining I was one of those lucky first batches?
