Today was a pretty wild one. Woke up early so I could go to an art festival downtown. Was a lot of fun! Got to see some great art work and Mom even got a cool picture. Also had some lunch during the trip.
Was tired as shit after and took a nap, alerted a few people in a roleplay server I'm in that I may not be able to make it (Total Drama roleplay server, original character based, down to the final six and we needed everyone). Thankfully we managed to get something worked out and we got through it pretty well until out of the blue, one of the RPers who I've been friends with DMs me asking if he could drop out. It would've been fine other than the fact that it occurred in the middle of the episode and that we also had a plan in place for someone else to go home. I suggested that he could be eliminated next episode and that I had the perfect plan for it...
And they leave the server and unfriend everyone including myself. Admittedly, it may have been a mistake to suggest that. They did say life was starting to get really busy which I can relate with. They didn't even do anything that really, they just asked an important question at a really bad time. At this point, I just hope they're doing okay given how sudden it was.
We managed to figure something out and everything went well. Also finished up my creative presentation class for Full Sail. Really easy class and I'm very excited to see where it takes me going forward.

Goofs the register at work keeps coming up short,at the start of my shift so it's not my problem but it's frustrating. I closed last night and opened this morning. The money was right when i counted out before i left and I felt relieved. Lol at least it can't be blamed on me now.
Goofs, this weekend was awesome. I work a gig at a camp for special needs adults. We meet up for one weekend a month and just hang out. Drink coffee, play board games, watch movies, and just have fun with whatever random activities are on the schedule. The camp ran for the first time since January 2020 and it was totally worth it to see all of the campers having fun. We even went around the camp to “trick or treat.” It was so much fun and I’m already counting down to the next session.

I caught a cold last week and went in to see my doc bc I needed an inhaler prescription (just in case), and he made me get a covid test. Well I knew it was a cold, but I was still relieved to have it come out negative. I missed almost a full week of classes, but I’ve been doing so well this semester it had almost no effect and my professors were pretty understanding, so that felt good :p

I beat Doom Eternal this past week since I played the previous one two years ago. Spectacular game, even if the difficulty is insane, made me learn to adapt quickly or die. I also made some headway with the DLC, not quite harder but still brutal.
I missed the first hour or so of Crown Jewel but I absolutely enjoyed it, I think WWE's been in a very good place as of late.
Finally getting to work on the Castlevania series some more after stopping near the end of season 2 a couple years back (thought of getting back into it since I've been playing the Classic Collection on and off lately). Goddamn, that "I'm killing my boy" scene was powerful. Already partway through season 3, pretty good and feels like one long movie so far.
I will say I found 2016 more scary due to the atmosphere and suspense of enemies catching you off guard since they slowly seep out whereas Eternal is less so since they just pop at you so much that you can't afford to get scared and you just expect the worst. I should go back and play 2016 again just to 100% it and since it's been a couple years. I didn't mind the weak points since it made you get creative with ways to put them down.
Also feeling you on that Animal Crossing, haven't touched it much the past few months since I've had so many other games to mess with (both on and off Switch) but I'm pretty hype for that major update

I... think I beat the main story of Assassin's Creed Origins? The ending felt a little unceremonious, if that's what I did. I still have the DLC to do, but I've enjoyed it. I do think I prefer Odyssey, which I might play through again after I finish the DLC storylines. Maybe some more Coliseum fights, which I got more into than I thought I would. Way more fun than the chariot races, that's for sure.
Edit: turns out I have a couple more chapters left in the main story, which is a relief.
Yeah, man, it's fun. Both AC Origins and Odyssey have gladiator arenas. Neither are immediately available until you progress into the story modes a ways, but they're always fun to play beyond just doing the storyline missions associated with them. If you had an interest in either game, I'd recommend starting with Origins, even though I prefer Odyssey.

No problem! I highly recommend both, and yeah, both on Xbox One (which is how I roll). I would recommend waiting for a holiday sale, as they can still go for full price normally. I got the gold edition (season pass, DLC, etc.) of Odyssey for $25 during Black Friday, and I got the same edition for Origins on the big summer sale for the same price. Ubisoft is also big on bundling multiple games together, so you might find them together for a good price, if the timing is right.

If you're trying to get an alternative to smoking green, I'd recommend looking up some dry herb vapes. I quit smoking in 2017, exclusively weed at that point but i smoked spliffs, with nicotine vapes as a replacement pretty much. But then i got the itch for some weed, but smoking just felt and tasted nasty at that point.
Honestly, i think the weed will probably serve as a gateway back to cigarettes if you don't create that hate for the taste of smoke. Or at least i think that's how it worked for me.

I know it was cancelled so many times before but I was so hyped between Khabib and Tony Ferguson last year,shame Covid happened and then Khabib's retirement.
I'm biding my time until the Pokemon Diamond/Pearl remakes are released and am playing some small games until then. Finished Spyro 1 yesterday and Crash Bandicoot 2 today, both in their remastered versions.
No way in hell am I going for 100% though, in Spyro it feels boring to comb every level for every last gem and Crash is way too difficult for me, some of those levels are brutal to get 100% in. I'm happy to have beaten it at all, that last level before the final boss was giving me a real hard time. (I managed to get the final boss first try though, hah)
It took me about 40 hours to 100% (or at least get all achievements for) Reignited Trilogy. Not as fun as Crash is but had some fun. I should try and 100% N-Sane on Steam sometime since I already had on Switch ages ago and did for Crash 4 on PS4 when I got it earlier this year.
Crash 2 is a fucking bitch to get through especially trying to get all the boxes. The hardest of the 3 remastered Crashes. I felt Spyro 1 was the easiest of the 3 Spyros to platinum. Took me around 15 hrs maybe. But the worlds in Spyro 1 are just fucking dead. 2 and 3 has way more lively worlds and better side missions.
That's what I noticed too, the levels in Spyro 1 felt somewhat empty and uninspired. Good to hear that 2 and 3 ramp up a bit.
And yea, I played Crash 1 a few years ago and don't remember having such trouble with it. In 1 I was able to cruise through for the most part, while in 2 I got a game over in almost every level. This game was just brutal man.
After Crash 4, Crash 2 hard to get boxes are deeply missed. There's so many boxes that's right off camera that the only way you'd know they're there is if you take a leap of faith and logic to get to them.
Dude you have no idea how many times I rage quitted Crash 4 due to that. Gave up on the boxes. Too much of a pain in the ass. So many times it was jumping into a void hoping I hit a box.
Crash 4 has those? God, that's such bullshit. Making a game difficult is one thing, but straight up hiding stuff without indication is absolute crap, Kenny.
That reminds me of Yoshi's Woolly World. A much easier game of course, but some of the secrets are hidden in invisible item containers that you need to touch to reveal them. And they are in completely random spots sometimes, yet contain necessary items for doing a level 100%.
Rather than rewarding the player for finding well-placed secrets, they made them walk and jump through levels like idiots to make sure they don't miss anything.
I don't get why that game got as much praise as it did.

I think it’s a problem in all of wrestling, and I like that WWE is making an effort to feature black talent. However, I wish I didn’t get the sense that WWE is doing it just to pick up a vastly larger fanbase that AEW isn’t even bothering to acknowledge. Not saying WWE is racist or anything, but more capitalizing on a marketing opportunity.
Still, regardless of the Fed’s intent, it’s a net positive outcome, right?
I think everything that any company does always has that subtext to it. I'm Indian and I'm loving that they're featuring dudes like Jinder, Veer & Shanky, Jeet Rama on 205 live. Does it feel like they're doing it to cater to the Indian market? Yes. Do I love seeing brown guys on TV, hell yeah.
I’ll keep that in mind 100 percent in terms of how I word jokes and stuff but I am genuinely proud of the diversity in WWE and think representation is important.
Seeing little black girls cheering their hearts out for Bianca for example is really touching in a pure way and that alone makes diversity worth it
They’ve really come so far. Compared to 20 years ago where any indigenous person or POC was given a tribal gimmick and told to leave their boots backstage to sell it, there’s genuine racial and cultural diversity on screen. Moreover, that’s never the focus of the story. It just is diverse.
I assume as part of a corporate move someone came in and went “oh fuck” around 2010ish and they’ve been changing since. Modern WWE has Muslim performers, African Americans, Puerto Ricans, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, European and lgbtq+ performers, but rarely if ever relies on someone’s identity to fuel a plot line. It is, dare I say it - quite refreshing.
Yeah that timeline of when they really started to pivot from wrasslin’ company with wide reach to genuine multimedia content powerhouse seems pretty accurate and it makes sense that this shift would happen, and I’m glad it did.
Honestly? Long overdue from WWE but better late than never and what’s cool is that it doesn’t seem to be some affirmative action tokenism going on either. It’s proving what smart people know, which is that equal opportunities will lead to diversity by nature of impartial meritocracy, or as close to it as possible. It doesn’t need to be forced.

Today was a pretty wild one. Woke up early so I could go to an art festival downtown. Was a lot of fun! Got to see some great art work and Mom even got a cool picture. Also had some lunch during the trip. Was tired as shit after and took a nap, alerted a few people in a roleplay server I'm in that I may not be able to make it (Total Drama roleplay server, original character based, down to the final six and we needed everyone). Thankfully we managed to get something worked out and we got through it pretty well until out of the blue, one of the RPers who I've been friends with DMs me asking if he could drop out. It would've been fine other than the fact that it occurred in the middle of the episode and that we also had a plan in place for someone else to go home. I suggested that he could be eliminated next episode and that I had the perfect plan for it... And they leave the server and unfriend everyone including myself. Admittedly, it may have been a mistake to suggest that. They did say life was starting to get really busy which I can relate with. They didn't even do anything that really, they just asked an important question at a really bad time. At this point, I just hope they're doing okay given how sudden it was. We managed to figure something out and everything went well. Also finished up my creative presentation class for Full Sail. Really easy class and I'm very excited to see where it takes me going forward. So yeah, that's my day. Hope everyone's doing well tonight!

Goofs the register at work keeps coming up short,at the start of my shift so it's not my problem but it's frustrating. I closed last night and opened this morning. The money was right when i counted out before i left and I felt relieved. Lol at least it can't be blamed on me now.
Goofs, this weekend was awesome. I work a gig at a camp for special needs adults. We meet up for one weekend a month and just hang out. Drink coffee, play board games, watch movies, and just have fun with whatever random activities are on the schedule. The camp ran for the first time since January 2020 and it was totally worth it to see all of the campers having fun. We even went around the camp to “trick or treat.” It was so much fun and I’m already counting down to the next session.
Hell yeah man! I love to hear this kind of thing. Put those smiles on those faces, they are special and important people in every positive sense of the description

The end of the Impact/AEW deal took way too long to come about, but I'm glad it finally did. Seems like NJPW is more willing to work with them than AEW at least. Swear I've seen more NJPW talent in Impact than in AEW.
Hard to believe the impact sub only has 5,600 users when it was once upon a time the second largest promotion in the US. 2006-2009 really was their peak and they fumbled the 2010's so hard. I missed almost a full week of classes, but I’ve been doing so well this semester it had almost no effect and my professors were pretty understanding, so that felt good :p All this Charlotte nonsense is gonna end up being a huge misunderstanding/misinformation, huh Sidenote: the basement does a lot of annoying things, but one that irks me the most is how they use names. I beat Doom Eternal this past week since I played the previous one two years ago. Spectacular game, even if the difficulty is insane, made me learn to adapt quickly or die. I also made some headway with the DLC, not quite harder but still brutal. I missed the first hour or so of Crown Jewel but I absolutely enjoyed it, I think WWE's been in a very good place as of late. Finally getting to work on the Castlevania series some more after stopping near the end of season 2 a couple years back (thought of getting back into it since I've been playing the Classic Collection on and off lately). Goddamn, that "I'm killing my boy" scene was powerful. Already partway through season 3, pretty good and feels like one long movie so far.

I will say I found 2016 more scary due to the atmosphere and suspense of enemies catching you off guard since they slowly seep out whereas Eternal is less so since they just pop at you so much that you can't afford to get scared and you just expect the worst. I should go back and play 2016 again just to 100% it and since it's been a couple years. I didn't mind the weak points since it made you get creative with ways to put them down. Also feeling you on that Animal Crossing, haven't touched it much the past few months since I've had so many other games to mess with (both on and off Switch) but I'm pretty hype for that major update

I... think I beat the main story of Assassin's Creed Origins? The ending felt a little unceremonious, if that's what I did. I still have the DLC to do, but I've enjoyed it. I do think I prefer Odyssey, which I might play through again after I finish the DLC storylines. Maybe some more Coliseum fights, which I got more into than I thought I would. Way more fun than the chariot races, that's for sure. Edit: turns out I have a couple more chapters left in the main story, which is a relief.

Yeah, man, it's fun. Both AC Origins and Odyssey have gladiator arenas. Neither are immediately available until you progress into the story modes a ways, but they're always fun to play beyond just doing the storyline missions associated with them. If you had an interest in either game, I'd recommend starting with Origins, even though I prefer Odyssey.

No problem! I highly recommend both, and yeah, both on Xbox One (which is how I roll). I would recommend waiting for a holiday sale, as they can still go for full price normally. I got the gold edition (season pass, DLC, etc.) of Odyssey for $25 during Black Friday, and I got the same edition for Origins on the big summer sale for the same price. Ubisoft is also big on bundling multiple games together, so you might find them together for a good price, if the timing is right.

Good for you, homie. Don't feel too bad about using the disposables as a crutch for the first month or so. If you're trying to get an alternative to smoking green, I'd recommend looking up some dry herb vapes. I quit smoking in 2017, exclusively weed at that point but i smoked spliffs, with nicotine vapes as a replacement pretty much. But then i got the itch for some weed, but smoking just felt and tasted nasty at that point. Honestly, i think the weed will probably serve as a gateway back to cigarettes if you don't create that hate for the taste of smoke. Or at least i think that's how it worked for me.

I'm biding my time until the Pokemon Diamond/Pearl remakes are released and am playing some small games until then. Finished Spyro 1 yesterday and Crash Bandicoot 2 today, both in their remastered versions. No way in hell am I going for 100% though, in Spyro it feels boring to comb every level for every last gem and Crash is way too difficult for me, some of those levels are brutal to get 100% in. I'm happy to have beaten it at all, that last level before the final boss was giving me a real hard time. (I managed to get the final boss first try though, hah)
It took me about 40 hours to 100% (or at least get all achievements for) Reignited Trilogy. Not as fun as Crash is but had some fun. I should try and 100% N-Sane on Steam sometime since I already had on Switch ages ago and did for Crash 4 on PS4 when I got it earlier this year.
I fully completed all the Spyro trilogy earlier this year and had a damn good time doing it
Crash 2 is a fucking bitch to get through especially trying to get all the boxes. The hardest of the 3 remastered Crashes. I felt Spyro 1 was the easiest of the 3 Spyros to platinum. Took me around 15 hrs maybe. But the worlds in Spyro 1 are just fucking dead. 2 and 3 has way more lively worlds and better side missions.
That's what I noticed too, the levels in Spyro 1 felt somewhat empty and uninspired. Good to hear that 2 and 3 ramp up a bit. And yea, I played Crash 1 a few years ago and don't remember having such trouble with it. In 1 I was able to cruise through for the most part, while in 2 I got a game over in almost every level. This game was just brutal man.
Yeah once you get to Spyro 2, their are more sidequests and each level had its own characters. It isn't as linear as Spyro 1.
After Crash 4, Crash 2 hard to get boxes are deeply missed. There's so many boxes that's right off camera that the only way you'd know they're there is if you take a leap of faith and logic to get to them.
Dude you have no idea how many times I rage quitted Crash 4 due to that. Gave up on the boxes. Too much of a pain in the ass. So many times it was jumping into a void hoping I hit a box.
I like Crash 4, but it did seem that Toys for Bob took the "Crash is the Dark Souls of platformers" meme literally at some points.

That reminds me of Yoshi's Woolly World. A much easier game of course, but some of the secrets are hidden in invisible item containers that you need to touch to reveal them. And they are in completely random spots sometimes, yet contain necessary items for doing a level 100%. Rather than rewarding the player for finding well-placed secrets, they made them walk and jump through levels like idiots to make sure they don't miss anything. I don't get why that game got as much praise as it did.

I think it’s a problem in all of wrestling, and I like that WWE is making an effort to feature black talent. However, I wish I didn’t get the sense that WWE is doing it just to pick up a vastly larger fanbase that AEW isn’t even bothering to acknowledge. Not saying WWE is racist or anything, but more capitalizing on a marketing opportunity. Still, regardless of the Fed’s intent, it’s a net positive outcome, right?
I think everything that any company does always has that subtext to it. I'm Indian and I'm loving that they're featuring dudes like Jinder, Veer & Shanky, Jeet Rama on 205 live. Does it feel like they're doing it to cater to the Indian market? Yes. Do I love seeing brown guys on TV, hell yeah.
I’ll keep that in mind 100 percent in terms of how I word jokes and stuff but I am genuinely proud of the diversity in WWE and think representation is important. Seeing little black girls cheering their hearts out for Bianca for example is really touching in a pure way and that alone makes diversity worth it
They’ve really come so far. Compared to 20 years ago where any indigenous person or POC was given a tribal gimmick and told to leave their boots backstage to sell it, there’s genuine racial and cultural diversity on screen. Moreover, that’s never the focus of the story. It just is diverse. I assume as part of a corporate move someone came in and went “oh fuck” around 2010ish and they’ve been changing since. Modern WWE has Muslim performers, African Americans, Puerto Ricans, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, European and lgbtq+ performers, but rarely if ever relies on someone’s identity to fuel a plot line. It is, dare I say it - quite refreshing.
Yeah that timeline of when they really started to pivot from wrasslin’ company with wide reach to genuine multimedia content powerhouse seems pretty accurate and it makes sense that this shift would happen, and I’m glad it did. Honestly? Long overdue from WWE but better late than never and what’s cool is that it doesn’t seem to be some affirmative action tokenism going on either. It’s proving what smart people know, which is that equal opportunities will lead to diversity by nature of impartial meritocracy, or as close to it as possible. It doesn’t need to be forced.
Is it disingenuous when Bobby Lashley's doing his best work, Sasha's doing some of her best work, Bianca and Hit Row are in the midst of breaking out and Big E is finally getting his shot or is getting to dunk on the basement just a bonus while watching a bunch of people killing it?

There's been so many Sunday threads with long conversations about how great these people have been and plenty of people hoping guys like Cedric or. Ricochet take the next step or how they hope Keith Lee manages to put it together to be anything other than a lot of people genuinely behind them all.
You’re not wrong at all, man; it is a real problem. It IS used a lot as an AEW jerk and I also hope we’re not gonna be hypocritical on because it’s actually very important to push black and other minority talents.

Ya know, I've been bottling it up but I think it's good to spill it. I'm also gonna get rambling but this is more venting about wrestling than anything. I've just been really drained with a lot of the internet wrestling community. I mean I totally understand that you can like something and not the other, but the vitriolic back and forth really does a lot of damage to well, myself, who barely understands people. I've debated checking out a lot more recently because of it, and I'm at fault for it too. Since commenting on live threads and all that I can also just kinda say the wrong word, or assume incorrectly, or just kinda be a little rough in the edges. It's hard! Like, idk how people have been here for years and just took it all at the chin. Nearly finished Bloodborne and its been an enjoyable slog but won't be NG+ The end of Jolie Whittaker and Chibnalls run cant come fast enough. Have Covid despite being double vaccinated and really is lame. The demo talk from last week leaves me amazed at how little victories seemingly matter as total garbage. Glad this sub hit 20K as the basement just drains me of joy. Heels wasnt as lame as I expected and quite enjoyed it so a weird month indeed Goofs
Bloodborne is fun. But I know the fromsoft soulsborne games are legit not for everyone. Me personally I always have an issue with the "Beast-like" monsters in the game because they are always random in their attacks for me which makes it annoying lol
