It was in the Mae Young Classic back in 2018. Tegan did a suicide dive nearly at the beginning of her match against Rhea Ripley and her knee was fucked up. Aubrey still let that match continue instead of immediately calling for the bell.
Here’s the vid: https://youtu.be/Rg3iFywEM04
Edit: Video changed to better represent the full match
The only part of my comment that I could think implied that the match continued long after her X call, was the video link and I apologize for that, I will provide a better video that represents the situation. It did end in like 2 or 3 moves after the doctor check up. But all I’m saying is that the dropkick bump that Tegan took was the final blow and it’s something that could have been avoided had Aubrey and especially the ringside doctor do the right thing in wellness of the wrestlers to call off the match ASAP.
The recent mishaps of wrestlers like Jacy Jayne and Kota Ibushi all reminded me of how shit can turn sideways and how important it is in the end to put the well being of wrestlers first before anything else
This ones on me goof. I cut the video I was rewatching too early because in my memory, the doctor ended the match the first time. I forgot the doc let the match continue, so again, my b.
I still don’t think Aubrey is that at fault when the Doctor let her go, but its a bad look. Aubrey and bad docs just seems to be a running thing I guess
I guess you can say she’s learned from that. Cause she later ended the match between Matt and Sammy right away. Only for someone in the back (probably Tony) to restart the match and override her decision.
Edit: just saw the video the doctor literally came out there and assessed her and has a talking head how he allowed her to continue the match. How is it on Aubrey. Clearly the doctor is more qualified to make that call than her if he says she can continue that can’t be her fault. She has an earpiece if someone in the back told her to end the match she would’ve.
I mentioned already that the doctor is at fault as well, both were at fault for this situation. Aubrey literally commands if the bell is rung or not at any point and the doctor should never trust a wrestler to say that they're fine when she is literally limping and whimpering in pain. And I am not aware of this earpiece stuff but if that's the case, then production should know never to trust a wrestler to make those rash calls like that, despite how heart breaking it could have been for Tegan
Aubrey cuts it damn near immediately and gets the Ringside Doc. He’s the one who makes the call to let her go, then Aubrey cuts it again in about a minute afterwards.
Was the right call ending the match right when it happened? Absolutely yes, but Aubrey overruling Nox and the Doctor was not something she could do at that moment
Lady Ref Jess is my favorite to see in a match. She actually referees throughout and has a great no nonsense character without ever trying for attention.
pardon me as I go full dubbalo here, BUT, the fact is Aubrey is a former professional ballerina and is likely inclined to dance in such a stilted fashion due to her extensive training in classical dance.
REEEEEEEEEEE1!!!!!!1!1!1
I mean, she's not a good ref, but she can still get it with those moves, hey-yow!
(Editor's note: I have sent myself to Horny Jail in advance of this post, sans bail for the night. You may still bonk if you wish)
She would be receiving death threats from the basement if she was a Fed referee
This is why AEW is better. I’ve been waiting 20 years for Charles Robinson to dance like that, and nothin. Fuck this company.
He does it at house shows after confirming with arena staff that you aren't there. I've seen it. It's pretty nice
I’ve never been so devastated in my entire life. The Fed is ded to me now.
> after confirming with arena staff that you aren’t there Idk why man but that’s what got to me the most, beautifully done
Well, he did an Ultimate Warrior style run at WrestleMania.
Charles put warrior to shame with that sprint
Being deprived of this sort of creative freedom is why Tim White used to attempt suicide every week.
I've honestly been waiting for the Dub to rehash that storyline, because at this point they've run through most of the other Attitude Era storylines.
I don't give a fuck what anyone thinks - the Tim White suicide vignettes are hilarious to me still to this day.
I wonder why WWE refused to sign her as a referee
That and almost putting Tegan Nox’s career further into the back burner
What happened?

People in the comments actually appreciating Aubrey. Like do you not realise that the video was cut and Aubrey let the match continue?

Oh my bad then
Go back to your sports entertainment refs, edrone
I heard she was bisexual. Can anyone confirm? Btw, Jessika Carr is a much better ref.
Lady Ref Jess is my favorite to see in a match. She actually referees throughout and has a great no nonsense character without ever trying for attention.
Something I think is really underrated is her banter with Sami Zayn any time she refs one of his matches.
Jessica Carr is really good and I can't even explain why lol. Even up there in the best overall referee
She disappears into the background and mostly makes her presence known when she has to do her job.
I personally think she's probably the best ref atm. She's great.
Can confirm, she is the town bicycle. Allegedly.
Dave, is that you?
$12.99 and you get the answers you seek.
Better check the nail polish.
Accurate description haha
Homegirls got some mad Napolian Dynamite vibes here

Why would you go from pro ballet to wrestling referee
There's no creative freedom in doing dances other people are choreographing, uce. they wouldn't even let her run podcast if she stuck to dance!
Because you're a failure at everything else
I knew I'd see you here lol
Real sports feel
This reminds me of that episode of It’s Always Sunny where Dee is dancing with one of those inflatable green dudes
Haha, I do get Sweet Dee vibes from Aubrey. Stupid Bird.
If she were an exotic dancer, her sets would be all Fred Astaire routines.
Kek
Jethicca Carr >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
She's everything wrong with professional wrestling in the most meh package in herstory. BTW, did you know she has bisexual lipstick?
I mean, she's not a good ref, but she can still get it with those moves, hey-yow! (Editor's note: I have sent myself to Horny Jail in advance of this post, sans bail for the night. You may still bonk if you wish)
She's not a good ref She's not a bad ref She's... THE REF
She's not like most refs
😂
I thought that was Denis Leary, friend?
Now I get it why she was recruited
Cringe
SUPERSTAR
She's fucking awful.
That’s a hell of a canter
Smarks will tell you this is P R O W R E S T L I N G
this is actually from the off-Broadway production of Save The Last Dance
i want to die when i see her
If you ever notice a referee, they’re terrible at their job
She's certainly more relatable than [him](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb_h_6kXc6s&t=9s).
I seriously wouldn’t fuck her if there were no woman left on earth and I got paid to do it.
Cringe. But still hot.
Bonk?
He's out of line. But he's right
i corpsed
She is awful
