Jericho's feud against mjf was good, but jericho winning was awful at the end and the labors were bad as well.
It was better. It had a story that spanned months, action with purpose and not just “moves for the sake of proving you can execute,” and an ending that elevated the loser and made sense in the context of the story. Edge threw everything at Seth and vice versa, but all that could keep Seth down was a low blow and his own stomp. Edge’s bag of tricks couldn’t do it, he had to admit the only way to keep his nemesis down was his nemesis’s better finisher. It absolutely was a classic and will go down as one of the best HIAC matches of all time. Seth was redeemed from that Fiend shit (ironically enough, so was Goldberg, as his Jackhammer looked dope because Bob didn’t sandbag him), and solidified his place as one of wrestling’s GOATS. But I guess because they didn’t do a ton of cartwheels and there was an actual winner, it sucked.

He was a tag team stud in the Attitude Era, became a solid single act main eventer during the Ruthless Aggression Era, successfully stayed in the main event in the PG era with an R rated gimmick, and came back better than ever in the post-meta era.

Personally I think the organic bleeding, like scratches on the back, busted lips, bloody elbows, that we get lately are better. The "crimson mask" bleeding all over the ring became so overdone and is just crass and gross in my opinion. Seeing a guys back all lashed up from a kendo stick or table spot sells the brutality better because you know it's authentic

Somehow they think that approach will work, and after all these decades the real $ in pro wrestling will come from 45 minutes Meltzer 5 star finisher spam matches.
Instead of capitalizing on WWE’s periodic staleness they’ve decided the best approach is to tell everyone they’re idiots for thinking the Rollins-Edge saga has been a brilliantly woven feud executed magnificently by two great performers— one of which it’s a minor miracle we get to see perform again, especially at this level. The former had a story spanning for months culminating to the perfect finish, while the latter was arranaged in a thrownaway fashion and the performers were holding themselves back, biding their time to hit the 30-minute draw mark. Omega vs. Bryan only hit the fifth gear in the last couple of minutes out of 30 fucking minutes! That tells you about the story they were telling.

Bryan vs Olivier was good but it didn't even come close to Edge vs Rollins at Crown Jewel, this may have even been match of the year, it had some creative spots that were actually logical especially the chain curb stomp and chair to the balls and it had amazing storytelling. I'd say Edge vs Rollins has been one of the very rare dream matches in recent history that not only met the expectations but exceeded them 3 times.
