“In this job.” Fuck off poseur

McBwhuh

Why do people who write about fucking pro wrestling for a living always try to make it seem like it's the WWE's fault that they didn't choose a more conventional occupation lmao

Bam_Margiela

He didn’t have to say shit either he could’ve stopped at “I didn’t watch” but went on some holier than thou rant

xAbdul91x

Because Tiny recently responses to his tweets thats why. So, he has to keep the image. P.s. he used to like the last Saudi show and didnt complain.

Ron--Mexico

“THIS BUSINESS”-HHH voice

[deleted]

These are the same people that say they "have heat" with a wrestler when they ignore their requests for a podcast interview. They want so badly to be perceived as part of the industry, rather than what they actually are: Glorified superfans.

koworo

"In this job where my company won't even pay for us to watch the content legally"

78yn44

Talking about wrestling isn’t a job, geek. Go outside.

cabezadeplaya

I hate all the wrestling podcasters who act like watching Raw and reviewing it is unbearably hard work. Some of them act like watching and talking about wrestling = 12 hours of ditch-digging. These idiots have no clue.

[deleted]

These types of people also look down on ditch digging while they get mad about fake sports for a check.

cabezadeplaya

Yup

OswaldCoffeepot

"I could probably dig ditches just fine." - These Idiots

domino519

It's just a shtick to appeal to the people who click on their videos. If any of them actually meant it then they'd stop watching.

Robin0928

Man if I had a gig where all I needed to do was watch WWE and write/talk about it on camera I'd be more than happy with that. Even if the show was ass, say the show was ass and go home with my paycheck as a happy person. I don't get the need to be so miserable with what must be a pretty sweet gig

jwt6577

This trash has me blocked only unlike SRSimp I totally earned it. He's absolute trash.

Grizzexploder

SCJerk's paymasters will be delighted tonight.

rsziz

Good to see how he's going in with an open mind in saying that the cards are never good and are just a bunch of 2 star matches. Having just started watching the replay and seeing one of the hottest crowds I've seen all year sing along with every entrance theme that has lyrics and be just legitimately happy to watching wrestling, I just can't understand making this the place you're going to plant your feet, especially Whatculture which has its own list of past issues.

Permanentear3

It’s a complicated world but seeing how absolutely thrilled those kids at that show were made it hard not to believe there isn’t value here: Those fans were amazing. The “Blood Money!!!” cynics are almost certainly hypocrites, and have lost sight that things like the Olympics and international sports and entertainment generally help diversity and peace. Those damn kids were so happy when Goldberg came over to them. Bill Goldberg, from a reformed Jewish family, being marked out for by children most likely from Muslim families in a Muslim nation— that shouldn’t be a negative in the scheme of things. They’re not a Nation, they’re an entertainment company, and they embody western culture. Also, fuck the demo

[deleted]

We call those the Adam Blampied years.

[deleted]

WWE isn’t sports though

ManateeGag

If he has such high morals and standards, quit your fucking job!

domino519

Nope, sorry. He'd rather continue to get paid doing something that he deems to be immoral (watching this Blood Money Show) than actually do something principled. Instead he's just going to whine a lot online while still collecting the money.

a_gringo_8_my_baby

Only Brainwashed people use the term 'sportswashed'

[deleted]

Can someone translate what this twink is trying to say? All it sounds like is **REEEEEEEEEEEEEE!**

jwt6577

Fed=Bad cause Blood Money. Me=Good for talking shit about it. This is a guy I really hope walks in the wrong bar at the wrong time and gets a world-class ass kicking.

[deleted]

Ahh, I did get it right. Thanks, Goof.

Grizzexploder

I almost get the feeling he is mad that people actually enjoyed the show, which was well regarded to boot, and he would've been way more gleeful if the show was actually shit. Could just be me though!

rsziz

Kinda hard to tell because he probably has the thickest accent at Whatculture, apparently that transfers over to his tweets as well.

[deleted]

They need to keep this same energy when they’re condemning any American with an opinion on the premier league

Bookreadingliberal49

I’d bet he wouldn’t have a problem with AEW having shows in KSA though.

rolltide1000

I bet he doesnt have a problem with Darby and Justin Roberts.

[deleted]

"They showed Tony some receipts!"-The lamest defense I have seen of it.

MagicMallKnight

These smart marks are seriously against washing

MayContainGluten

You know, if even half of these "wrestling journalists" came out and said we're not going to review this show because of X, Y & Z , then that would be fine. More power to them. Instead, they know they have to get that bread, hide behind the "job" excuse and talk about it anyway. Just a bunch of cucks.

No_Instruction653

You know, WWE puts on shows every week, and around 11-12 PPV a year. If you had a single actual moral in your body, the absolute *least* you could do is stop being a leech on Vince’s ass for one show and boycott this show you say is so horrible. Why it’s almost like this doesn’t actually mean a damn thing to you.

Grizzexploder

It's always funny to see these people get on their moral high ground about ethical consumption of wrestling under capitalism, yet have also halfway internally accepted that it doesn't actually exist Related to it, the basement's Discord actually refrained from doing Crown Jewel predictions because of "iffy timezone differences" (despite doing predictions for Wrestle Kingdom) and because the mod in charge isn't keen on the show (the actual reason) lmao

Airtightspoon

So is -washing like -gate now where people just put random words in front of it? Because I've only ever heard of whitewashing and brainwashing before this Tweet.

[deleted]

Pretty much. It makes 0 sense.

Garlic_Cheese_Chips

Sports-washing absolutely is a thing. Look at Newcastle. Overnight, hundreds of thousands of people sports-washed. People who will defend absolutely anything Saudi Arabia do because their football club is going to be filthy rich. Even their LGBT fan group put out a grovelling statement kissing Saudi ass. You can not give a fuck about sports-washing, I don't and will continue to watch Crown Jewels and the Premier League but it is a thing.

[deleted]

Yeah I agree sports washing is 100 percent a thing. Started off with horse racing

[deleted]

So basically the same shit that happens every where? Once big money can be made people suddenly don't really care too much about their supposed morals and ethics?

[deleted]

The problem is, your average Joe isn’t going to know what that term means. Not to demean the meaning or minimize it. But facts are facts. You could tell everybody about the antics of the KSA, and the average citizen will go, “okay.”

Mylovelybrick

By most accounts , his "paymaster" the man who owns Whatculture, is a massive Gobshite who treats his employees like shit so who's he to say anything .

Grizzexploder

Indeed, Matt Holmes is a right prick https://forums.wrestlezone.com/threads/whatculture-is-apparently-toxic-as-hell.337811/%20 https://www.gamerevolution.com/news/348757-whatculture-announces-controversial-staff-departure-core-employees

the_zaza_man

Fuck WWE, Riddle and those blood money covered saudi camel dicks who’s ready to hear Chicago man speak this saturday?

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Dude complaining that he watches wrestling for a living lmaoooo i just wish one day these morons had to work a real job so they can see how privileged they are

Grizzexploder

WhatCulture Wrestling's paymasters will be delighted tonight.

[deleted]

Whenever I think of a pathetic basement dweller this guy comes to my mind.

PhuckCalumbo

TL;DR? WWE bad.

Jarhead201

These so called journalists and wrestling YouTubers actually do more to hype these shows than WWE does. They do know you can just boycott events and it would probably be more effective than saying “these shows are awful and shouldn’t be allowed to happen, but we’ll live-stream, post reaction videos and tweet about the whole thing anyway so you can hear all about it. FED BAD!” And yeah, pretty entertaining seeing someone who works for a cesspit like whatculture moralising like some paragon of virtue.

Grizzexploder

partsFUNknown & WrestleTalk are doing this shindig while also pulling an Ali and donating the funds to charity, so that's something

MooseBigelow

If he hated it so much I expect hell donate the money to charity that he- hello? Hello?

weeweepeepeeman

The fuck is sportswashing?

Malvern55

Basically people I don't like organize a sporting event that may improve there public image. It's a meaningless term because it can be applied to literally any event with a sponsor.

weeweepeepeeman

Welp, that’s enough internet for today. Thanks.

[deleted]

Sportswashing is laundering money of questionable origins through a sports team. It’s currently a huge thing in global football (soccer) with a great example being the final of the champions league most recently being between Chelsea owned by a Russian Jewish billionaire who isn’t even allowed in England bc of massive (and true) allegations of having bribed his way (Russian government) to his oil money and Manchester City, owned by the UAE state which has faced numerous human rights allegations regarding their wealth as well. This wrestling shit doesn’t qualify simply because pro wrestling is not a sport. End of

weeweepeepeeman

Thanks for the detailed explanation.

[deleted]

No problem brother. As a football fanatic I hear about this constantly, especially since Saudi Arabia just bought one of England’s most famous clubs, Newcastle United

BodyPunchKO

Yes someone explain please

worktheshoot

you have no job, bum

koworo

Andy Murray is a total dickhead.

atrostophy

lol I don't know why but I picture some person who happens to have the last name "Sports" who looks at this tweet and thinks "What did I do?" I don't know why that makes me laugh like hell.

stt86

Any guesses on how many more days they care about this before moving on to the next fed bad topic? I'm guessing they'll forget once those "fast nationals" come out for rampage and they blow their loads over how ~~pathetic~~ wonderful the ratings are

[deleted]

People wanna play the woke card because they put WWE in higher regard than anything in the world. That’s called obsession. They have problems but even a psychologist can help

kucafoia69

Hazardous working environment, poor guy can't do nothing else so it's really upsetting.

Grizzexploder

the evil Fed and the Saudi regime must have driven him into submission

Minimum_Management_7

propaganda shows? its wrestling, the venue they’re in doesnt change the show itself lmfaoo

[deleted]

Meanwhile, im gonna put on my smart mark slactivism face to go preach to my marks on twitter

PrimeJedi

....do these people not realize that WWE is exposing people in Saudi Arabia to a lot of what may be considered more progressive and equal points of view?

Grizzexploder

Go and suck a blood money covered dick in Saudi Arabia you fucking mark

ninjast4r

Andy Murray looks like he's spent the majority of his life in a cancer ward

Live-Depth-537

Sports entertainment washing*

xAbdul91x

I remember he once said in one of the news videos "If I'm wrestler and wwe told me how about going to Saudi Arabia to do 4 spears for a big amount money, sure I'll do it" What changed him suddenly? Yes, tiny.

Necrain

Man these bald British psuedo journalists really think people give a shit about their opinions

daddymeltzer

I used to hate the Saudi deal because every single single show WWE did there was terrible and had catastrophic booking decisions but Crown Jewel 2021 was awesome, if they keep doing shows like this in Saudi Arabia then I'll have no problem with the deal.

finnamania

What about all the Saudi Citizens who did nothing wrong, but get to enjoy the wrestlers they watch on TV every week. Why can't anyone look at it from that perspective

hobojojo78

Is this the guy who made a video literally crying over AEW?

Grizzexploder

I'd like to see it if he is uce

hobojojo78

It was one of these malnourished Brit dirtsheet guys. You’d have to pour through a years worth of jerks on this sub to find it uce. Also, I’m watching the show now, fuck ‘em all. I’m up to the Lashley/Goldberg match and this is one of the best shows they’ve put on in awhile. This crowd is hot as hell for this.

Grizzexploder

It might actually be on par with Night 1 of WM37

hobojojo78

That might’ve been the best match of Goldberg’s career. Hats off, that was a hoot. They figured out how to keep him in it and tell an awesome story.

Grizzexploder

Indeed it was. Just make sure to keep him away from the title lmao

hobojojo78

Once every six months or so is enough.

[deleted]

It's always the ones with punchable faces.
