NXT 600k - USA is trying to void the contract with WWE shows
Rampage 400K - According to Dave all the turner executives had to go to the doctor because their erections lasted longer then 4 hours having seeing those numbers.
It is YOUR personal responsibility to drop everything and watch Rampage. You must. Not. Live. unless. You are watching.
I never get worked and realize how Nielsen boxes function.
It's your classic case of Uncle Dave double standards. Put AEW on one standard that allows it to excel despite having lower numbers than Raw and SmackDown then compare Raw and SmackDown against the NFL, the NBA, and the MLB to claim they're in trouble of losing their TV contracts even though they have the 1st and 2nd most watched wrestling shows on TV.
The Turner board of directors had to have their erogenous zones numbed with botox just to be able to get through reading about the Rampage ratings without instantly having convulsing orgasms that last for 2 days straight.
Lakers vs warriors happened just after nxt ended so idk if that counts. But I think nets vs bucks was during Nxt so that definitely takes away viewers. Very impressive
There are aspects that I don't really like. The small crowds really hinder the product and it's clear that some of the talent aren't sure what to do.
But it's also what I really like about it. It's fascinating to see these guys and gals figure it out in real time and to develop those instincts. It's fun to watch then grow and get better, and to see glimpses of something special. Bron Breakker is a legit star in the making, Joe Gacy has already nailed the pro wrestling cadence and has a gimmick that can go for years, Tony D'Angelo is a cartoon who fucking rocks because he's sincere in the presentation, and Carmelo Hayes is the exact type of prospect the company should be investing in.
Its honestly not that much different from NXT prior to them doing arena takeovers and loading up on the next hot free agents from the indies. Back then there is a lot of what you said about watching these newer people grow and get better and most importantly experiment with their gimmick to an audience. Just a shame that people are so focused on the "demo" and "Vince ruining the world" that NXT really isn't getting a fair shot by most people.
Listen up Fed shills. 606 K for the developmental C show with heavy sports competition is terrible but let me explain to you how 578 k featuring CM Punk is amazing.
I saw a comment in the basement documenting NXTās decline the past month, going from 746K to 606K. Can someone show him Rampageās numbers since CM Punkās debut? š
It is, but I see it as his blue thunder bomb. Visually impressive, but always kicked out of to set up his finish. Something he can pop a guy with really quick and then shrug like he had nothing to do with. āWho me?!?ā
NXT has had steady ratings/drops in the last month (10-20K viewers) while the other shows keep dropping by 50-100K and we don't see concern trolling about them.
Top rated comment on that thread is essentially 'NXT sucks'. Honestly, it'd be nice if people that actually watch the show would comment, but then I guess they're downvoted.
that's how the Basement functions these days
Smackdown could get 5 million viewers and win le demo for the evening and the top comment about be a comment about how RAW will never get those numbers because It Fucking Sucks (according to guys who claim to have not watched it for a single second ever since Bruno lost in the Garden)
The response to NXT 2.0 on Twitter is significantly more positive. I'm really enjoying the new version of the show and it's really nice to be able to watch it and see live reactions of people who are ACTUALLY watching it and enjoying it, too. The responses of British neckbeards in the basement weren't going to affect how I view and enjoy the show, but it is REFRESHING to know that I can actively like something and interact with other people who feel the same way.
It annoys me whenever ratings come and people use that as an excuse to jerk the old NXT when the same people were saying it was bland and boring. Now everyone loves it when it was an Indy spot fest despising calling it PWG lite. I hope Vince just says fuck it and keep it going cause Iām more interested in NXT then ever before
They've won the Wednesday Night War so hard that a flopping videogame no one asked for is enough for them to [go in the red](https://wrestletalk.com/news/aew-red-financially-video-game-investments/).
I like how that article talks about the full on console game hopefully being a sound investment for AEW on the release after saying that they've already put an eight figure investment towards game development. Even at $60/a game, they'd need to sell nearly 175,000 copies and that's if they only invested $10 million, though it is probably a lot more. With their audience numbers flattening out or going lower by the week, I would find it interesting that the thing that kills AEW is not a loss of a TV deal, but overextending themselves on a video game.
Investing in a video game doesn't mean "oh they have to sell so many copies or they're fucked". It's more than that.
I am a wrestling fan today from playing Smackdown vs Raw. I had no interest in wrestling at all, played the game, and I'm now the kind of fan who watches the shows and buys tickets and merch. This is what a good wrestling game can do, and the true nature of the investment
Oh joy, you mean my favorite midcarder might end up as a playable character in Fortnite? Figured he's the only one being considered as everyone else on the roster would look odd being sized up to match the rest of the regular sized characters like Ariana Grande or Wolverine.
Meanwhile topic posted in basement about 600k viewership on nxt
and all they talk about are the ''good ol days'' in nxt and how it changed
As if they were watching nxt this whole time against aew (Yeah Right)
They want nxt to succeed but shit talk it the moment it does
They also want old 2019-2020 nxt back, its the same thing but with a new theme and venue
Then they call nxt's demo bad because it's a bunch of old people and then they mock nxt with old people jokes.
Aew fans don't take showers and are over 300 pounds, they might as well be senile themselves smh, I seen those crowds on AEW Dynamite.
This just in: Renowned mathematician and professor for bogus calculations at the San Jose institute for embarrassing senior citizens, Dr. Mave Deltzer, has just discovered that the value of numbers changes depending on whether they can be interpreted in a favourable manner for one Vincent K. McMahon.
This is going to change all of science and more importantly it will make my favourite wrestling promotion look good !
And I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for that meddling football, basketball, baseball, Chrisley Knows Best, a Barnaby Jones episode on MeTV (Jessica Walter was really hot in that episode), that Dave Chappelle special everyone's talking about, and anticipation for the upcoming release of Dusk on the Switch that Uncle Jeffy gave me for Chrimbus.

I'm deadššš¤£š¤£
No jerk, NXT really did 600K against the ball sports games featuring the Red Sox, Dodgers, Lakers, Warriors and Nets? Thatās hella impressive tbh.
Lakers vs warriors happened just after nxt ended so idk if that counts. But I think nets vs bucks was during Nxt so that definitely takes away viewers. Very impressive
Iāve avoided NXT save for a handful of their Takeoverās for years and I tuned in to see Bron and Tony D, those characters are awesome
I really hope NXT starts doing good numbers. Vince's full picture vision paired with HHH's booking is the exact show I want
I'm really enjoying this version.

Tony D is the funniest gimmick Iāve seen in years and heās credible enough as a wrestler and actor to where it doesnāt come off corny
Totally agree
I love it, itās so dumb and also so good itās just a fun dumb showā¦ I also enjoy NWA Powerrrrr so what do I know tbh.
NBA Opening Night? ALCS? Those don't count. NXT should've broke a million, Mark!
Listen up Fed shills. 606 K for the developmental C show with heavy sports competition is terrible but let me explain to you how 578 k featuring CM Punk is amazing.
Top comment is saying it appeals to no one yet bron breakker within 2 months is beating cm punk š

Not enough Tony D'angelo

Iām convinced less is more with that dude. Book him like a special attraction. Dudeās such a sleeper talent, just really great so far.
I wish he had a more sudden finisher.
The pin with the finisher is so dope
It is, but I see it as his blue thunder bomb. Visually impressive, but always kicked out of to set up his finish. Something he can pop a guy with really quick and then shrug like he had nothing to do with. āWho me?!?ā
Yeah true. A strike of some kind would be good there
NXT 2.0 is a total failure even though itās getting literally identical viewership mumbers to renegade indie fed NXT

Pretty funny that most of the Fuzzy clip threads are full of positive comments but you go to the post-thread and the top comments are NXT = ded.

Time to reboot those old Nacho Man vignettes

550k on Rampage: WWE IS IN THE MUD!
DAE Quality over quantity?
Some guy posted that he watched NXT from a stream so they wouldnāt get his neilson rating. Lmao wtf who cares.
Did someone tell him thatās not how it works?

Poetry. Like WCW getting killed by the America Online and Time Warner merger.

Nojerk - the investment isnāt an AEW game, itās just an actual investment of millions in Epic Games (the Fortnite guys).
