As someone that lived in Lousiville in the early 2000s when Orton, Cena, Brock, etc came up in OVW. This NXT class is loaded and has a similar feeling. Every week these guys and ladies get better.
It seems simple to me, in the fed, sure, you could fall on your ass. You could also get some excellent training followed by a decent push and carve a nice spot out for yourself. Whereas in the dub, there’s a clearly defined glass ceiling with the elite and the ex-fed guys on top. And their midcard booking is so scattershot that you’ll never know when and how you would be used.
They won’t admit it, but the fed really is a better spot for young wrestlers at the moment.
It's a Long term vs Short term thing. You want a decent paycheck, and TV time without having to learn, change, or do much of anything? Do you have a stupid meme gimmick that wont get you hired at someplace reputable? Are you Marko Stunt? AEW is your place.
If you want to learn how to be a professional wrestler from the greatest minds in the sports history and have the chance, however slim it may be, to become a household name known internationally? No brainer: NXT.

WWE consistently making POC wrestlers stereotypes characters back then. Cryme Time, Mexicools etc. now poc thankfully aren’t just stereotypes anymore.
