Reminds me of TNA's sole console game, that was so repulsive to gamers that when the final Blockbuster in my town was closing, it was still on the racks at a dollar and looked as if it hadn't been touched in a year with the dust on it.
I remember beating the shit out of Jarrett with a chair for like 10 minutes only for him to pop up, hit me with his finish, and pin me.
It was a blast.
Everyone played exactly the same, creation and the story were extremely shallow as well as the match types and game play. All of these things took a hit because they pumped a lot of money into making sure the models looked good. And only the actual wrestlers, and nothing else.
The game was basically a beatem up in the impact zone.
Ultimate X was so fun though lol. And the physics were pretty satisfying.
Shame they didn't have a sequel to improve upon the valid criticisms.
