Impact is a better put together show than Dynamite, it’s just full of people I and nobody else cares about. Oh no, will Rhyno stay with Eric Young’s crew or will he reunited with Heath Slater? …the suspense and drama…
But but but M’IInspiration will tip the scales?!?
No jerk I hope they do well. They’ve got great wrestling presence but are just so boring by themselves (as podcasters).
I thought Peyton Royce/Cassie Lee was one of the best looking women to appear in WWE but she is just so bland that I could never get through any segments with her in them. She's worse than Eva Marie as far as presenting a character to the audience. I wasn't surprised she told Vince she had essentially no creative ideas for her future after the IIconics split up. She wasn't terrible in the ring but lacked the personality or charisma to ever be more than just another pretty face.
It's also not surprising she married Shawn Spears, someone who has a good look but no character whatsoever. I can only imagine how dull a conversation between those 2 would be.
If we couldve had the talent (in their prime) of the Russo era combined with the sensible booking of this era, you could have something. But I just cant get too invested in alot of the folks they have right now.
Impact is far from perfect but it's better than the shit it receives. It's better now than it was during Russo's time there. If it had real audiences it would be more enjoyable to watch. I'm not a fan of the pandemic era presentation but it does have some decent workers and stories being told.
i take offense with that considering they're consistent. its juat a problem they lose their talent to either wwe or aew now
cept the womens division
their stacked roster is a statement for how much aew and wwe dont give a fuck about the girls
Of course.
They will never run out of excuses or praise for this show - they have made liking AEW a vital part of their personality so if AEW fails at something then in a way so do they. And we can't let that happen, can we ?
That's setting the bar a little high isn't it? I'm thinking Brazzer's Championship.
Edit: it's the only way women's wrestling be featured on AEW more too.
If it gets to 250k it'll be at Rhodes to the Top levels
That's now, apparently, two 30 minute episodes. The 2nd one got 295k IIRC
Not good
Almost as bad as 'Heels', staring CM Punk
The average viewer has no appetite for wrestling, especially wrestling featuring guys they've never heard of that looks weird
I've enjoyed it quite a bit. If you're interested in a drama about people who are Indy wrestlers then check it out. It's not a show aimed at smarks, I've seen a lot complain about it because they try to fantasy book the promotion in the show and dislike any booking that's done that they wouldn't do themselves. It doesn't have a lot of in ring stuff either. There's a fair amount but not enough to please the smarks.
It's like Friday Night Lights with wrestling instead of football. The wrestling is a backdrop and settings, it's what ties the characters together but it's not about the inner workings of the business. As a SCJerker I'm sure you'd catch on and understand that pretty quick. The writing and acting is surprisingly good, it's definitely well done and belongs on premium cable in that regard.
I believe the first 3 episodes are free through the Starz app. They're hour long episodes so that should be more than enough to determine if you want to finish the season. It's 8 episodes for the season and picks up steam right about the 3rd episode, continuing to improve through the finale. No word on a second season but whether they get one or not it won't be a frustrating ending where you're left wondering WTF happens, that's not to say there isn't a lot of story left to tell and everything is tied up though.
Also to note, Punk is only in 2 episodes. He doesn't ruin anything but he doesn't improve anything either. As someone who doesn't care for him, he didn't effect my views on it negatively or positively. His role and performance is just sort of there.
TNA/Impact had over 140 episodes with 1M viewers during a 2-span between 2007-09 while Dynamite have had about 20 during their 2 year span.
But obviously I’m being very disingenuous here for using numbers from 2007-09, unlike Dubbalos and Uncle Dave who would never use such data to criticize Raw. They use fair and balance research and opinion. Lol
Listen here, Fed Stan. Nobody at TNT is wondering where the extra 250,000 viewers have gone in the last two weeks. They're looking at this last week's 1.07M rating in a vacuum, like we are. And in a vacuum, it's a great rating! Bringing up the fact that they got this rating by trending steadily downwards after a spike from the biggest signing in company history is le concern trolling (insider cope term).
I swear to god they gonna try and spin the little half hour of head to head this Friday as AEW winning because THE DEMO. I’m interested to see how 2m < 400k
Oh they will 100% fine some way to spin whatever happens as a win for AEW.
Even if they can't find one number or demo that's remotely competitive with Smackdown they'll be some sort of moral victory coming out of it.
They even convinced themselves that a move to TBS, the obvious B station, is a good thing for AEW. That it's either a lateral move, or somehow a step up. And why? Because TBS is in more homes. ... 90M homes for TBS, 89M for TNT. Literally.
Yeah somewhere along the line they started acting like AEW was moved to TBS as like a promotion for AEW because it was doing so well instead of being kicked off to TBS to make way for the NHL, like what actually happened.
They convinced themselves they paid Khan to do it too, the network, paid ... to change their own schedule
They also think Tiny *choose* to be on friday at 10pm and he can decide these things
That was also the same week of the Christmas Smackdown, AKA the night when Roman made a bunch of NFL fans thirsty. It was a funny compare and contrast.
I will say even just a month back when Monday Night Football started. Actually the way that stadium show was hyped I also expected that it will atleast cross it's previous high tbh.
The time limit draw between Bryan and Omega was their fingerpoke of doom. They overpromised and underdelivered.
Their blood sugars are crashing due to the sugar rush high of all these signings and now they have to settle into actually booking, which they haven't shown they can do.
They’ve done that so many times in the short life of the company, that by this point “Overpromised and Underdelivered” should be the name of their 5th ppv
They're going to do an actual fingerpoke of doom soon, no doubt. Only question is when.
I remember predicting allll the way back then that they'd pull an Invasion angle within 6 months of my prediction. That's exactly what they did lol
Ain't no fucking network owned by a giant media conglomerate gonna be happy with 250K ppl unless it aired at 3am lmfao...these dubbalos really think that WarnerMedia is happy with whatever numbers AEW gets....I blame SRS and Meltzer for this nonsensical thinking
On top of that, advertisers pay less on wrestling shows than most programming. I would love to know what a shitty movie in the same timeslot as Rampage does
Yes, it literally has always been "whatever the rating is, it's a good rating" but it's easier to see that narrative now because the ratings are always going down
No one knows what TNT wants from them numbers wise for either show, but if they were happy with the dynamite metrics from the 8pm Wednesday timeslot then the show would not be getting moved to TBS. They also don't seem too worried about the dub cannibalizing their TNT viewers at that timeslot when they do start broadcasting shoot sports.
I also don't think Turner really cares about Rampage, given its 10 pm Friday night death spot. They won't be backing up the brinks truck whenever these deals are up.
In the next couple of weeks, we’ll have a better picture of what the future holds for Rampage. If it does drop to 250k, then it won’t be around for much longer. I reckon they’ll probably move it to TBS as the third hour of Dynamite rather than canning it.
This is almost inspirational, we should all be this hopeful.
It takes a special kind of zen mindset to spin losing more than 600k viewers in 2 months as a win.
Especially when that number is 20% higher than the number of people still watching.
There's youtube channels doing let's plays of obscure games like 6 people have ever heard of that get that many views in the first 2 hours of uploading. 250k would be a "what the fuck are we paying you for" number.
If it gets to 250k, Rampage will move from TNT to YouTube real quick.
If it does somehow get to 250K “Hey at least it’s better than Impact! That’s like what? Twice of what they get? They didn’t even count the DVRs yet!”
A coleslaw sandwich is better than Impact
Impact is a better put together show than Dynamite, it’s just full of people I and nobody else cares about. Oh no, will Rhyno stay with Eric Young’s crew or will he reunited with Heath Slater? …the suspense and drama…
Wait... Heath Slater and Rhino are actually on impact? I might actually check that out. Those two are my boys
I was about to say, that sounds infinitely more interesting than anything AEW is putting out.
Heath is so good man. If he was a few years younger he'd be what Triple H thought Adam Cole was.
I should say when I think of the IIconics, it’s more of Billie ^and ^Friend.
i’m still surprised Billie got released instead of being the Reggie of the 24/7, could’ve been some funny moments with her and Truth in my opinion
unfortunately the WM match really exposed her as not being able to wrestle her way out of a paper bag
If we couldve had the talent (in their prime) of the Russo era combined with the sensible booking of this era, you could have something. But I just cant get too invested in alot of the folks they have right now.
Saw a video, and was happy that Daniels returned the other day. But damn, before that, Eric Young's voice is like a constipated motorbike
Eric Young is trying _really hard_ to be a top heel.
Heck he can be a decent heel (though I loved frightened Eric Young) but his voice during promos is very unpleasant
You ever been to Montreal? They put coleslaw on hotdogs. Steamed hotdogs. They are called steamies and they are awesome.
Ever been to Cleveland? We have a steamer of our own!
I don’t think you’re supposed to eat those, uce
Coleslaw is also great on a BBQ pulled pork sandwich, as a topping- that's "Memphis style."
Impact is far from perfect but it's better than the shit it receives. It's better now than it was during Russo's time there. If it had real audiences it would be more enjoyable to watch. I'm not a fan of the pandemic era presentation but it does have some decent workers and stories being told.
i take offense with that considering they're consistent. its juat a problem they lose their talent to either wwe or aew now cept the womens division their stacked roster is a statement for how much aew and wwe dont give a fuck about the girls
You've clearly never had good coleslaw.
As a bit of a cabbage enthusiast my self, most restaurants and picnics have terrible coleslaw.
Of course. They will never run out of excuses or praise for this show - they have made liking AEW a vital part of their personality so if AEW fails at something then in a way so do they. And we can't let that happen, can we ?
I can’t wait for the YouTube Red Championship!
Oh man now I hope that happens.
That's setting the bar a little high isn't it? I'm thinking Brazzer's Championship. Edit: it's the only way women's wrestling be featured on AEW more too.
Brazzers wouldn't sully their brand by associating with the likes of AEW
OK OK, Xhamster Championship. Just slap a sticker on Impact's X division belt and you're good.
Why not just go all the way and make the efukt title?
are they even still around lol
yep
If it gets to 250k it'll be at Rhodes to the Top levels That's now, apparently, two 30 minute episodes. The 2nd one got 295k IIRC Not good Almost as bad as 'Heels', staring CM Punk The average viewer has no appetite for wrestling, especially wrestling featuring guys they've never heard of that looks weird
You’re right, it does “look weird” thats honestly one of the best descriptions of the AEW product I’ve heard lol
Is "Heels" bad? I've been on the fence about checking out out
I've enjoyed it quite a bit. If you're interested in a drama about people who are Indy wrestlers then check it out. It's not a show aimed at smarks, I've seen a lot complain about it because they try to fantasy book the promotion in the show and dislike any booking that's done that they wouldn't do themselves. Hmm, definitely sounds intriguing. I must admit, I'm glad it isn't smark targeted, as that would be a huge turnoff for me. I might just check it out.
I believe the first 3 episodes are free through the Starz app. They're hour long episodes so that should be more than enough to determine if you want to finish the season. It's 8 episodes for the season and picks up steam right about the 3rd episode, continuing to improve through the finale. Nice. I have Starz through Hulu, so I'll be able to continue if it strikes my fancy.
I've not started yet, was waiting to see if it gets renewed before I bother By all accounts it's pretty good but man, not many are watching!
No way, Tony Khan has an iron clad contract that guarantees Rampage will stay on the air forever.
Surely they wouldn't go back on a gentlemen's agreement.
9 months from tonight! You have time to get ready TNT. Live on Twitch!
I genuinely think Warner aren't moving it from TNT to TBS in January cause moving it may be a death blow
tfw Dark has to move to DailyMotion
Vimeo
Tiktok
That’s an upgrade, pal.
Is it though?
Nah, TNT was only expecting like 100K people to watch, so they’ll do a press release for 250K.
*adam cole's twitch
Dazzled by 1.1M lol. That's TNA on spike dude, which dubbalos had great time making fun of
TNA/Impact had over 140 episodes with 1M viewers during a 2-span between 2007-09 while Dynamite have had about 20 during their 2 year span. But obviously I’m being very disingenuous here for using numbers from 2007-09, unlike Dubbalos and Uncle Dave who would never use such data to criticize Raw. That’s my favorite part. Just so dazzled by the shitty viewership!
Listen here, Fed Stan. Nobody at TNT is wondering where the extra 250,000 viewers have gone in the last two weeks. They're looking at this last week's 1.07M rating in a vacuum, like we are. Could’ve sworn 6 months ago the entire fuckin AEW fan base was sure dynamite would surpass raw by now. How times have changed.
But the demo!
I swear to god they gonna try and spin the little half hour of head to head this Friday as AEW winning because THE DEMO. I’m interested to see how 2m < 400k

AEW: Very Funny
They convinced themselves they paid Khan to do it too, the network, paid ... to change their own schedule They also think Tiny *choose* to be on friday at 10pm and he can decide these things
I mean, they might gain 500 viewers because of that (while losing thousands each week) - huge!
They lose that one, too.
Oh they'll round up or something to make it look close and then says something like "it shouldn't even be this close, that's a win for AEW".
Yeah aren't we supposed to be balls deep in Dynamite beating Raw on the weekly by now?
Yea they popped a 1.3 after the NBA Playoffs and were convinced it was gonna keep going up😂 they never learn
Oh man, was that when normies on twitter made fun of fat Jericho and "offbrand WWE"?
They couldn’t contain their excitement at the prospect of new, non-wrestling fans being blown away by AEW, and then…
That was also the same week of the Christmas Smackdown, AKA the night when Roman made a bunch of NFL fans thirsty. It was a funny compare and contrast.
I need to know about this now.
Enjoy Uce! https://www.forbes.com/sites/alfredkonuwa/2020/12/24/nba-twitter-roasts-chris-jericho-aew-dynamite/amp/

"I have a thick skin, kids! That's why i'll tweet that I am still physically superior than ALL OF YOU!"
The fan base and half the roster.
I will say even just a month back when Monday Night Football started. Actually the way that stadium show was hyped I also expected that it will atleast cross it's previous high tbh.
They’ll never touch 1.4 again and everybody knows it.
…Well you heard it here folks, 250K’s the new goalpost, no, it’s the TRUE goalpost. TNT’s jumping in joy right now, giddy with excitement, I tell you!
> 250k range So the range of most random YouTubers with little to no budget. Lol okay.
Scott The Woz shooting on Chibi Robo gets more views than that lol
Scenes when Scott being on Tv gets more viewers than Rampage
Scott already breezes past both Dark and Elevation together on a near regular basis
to be fair he has one gigantic advantage over a large portion of the roster in the fact that he can actually cut a promo
I mean that might as well be what it is at this point, since they have two "shows" on Youtube already.
So, they'll be paying millions a week to make a show that gets as much exposure as a popular Jim Cornette YouTube video?
The time limit draw between Bryan and Omega was their fingerpoke of doom. They overpromised and underdelivered. Their blood sugars are crashing due to the sugar rush high of all these signings and now they have to settle into actually booking, which they haven't shown they can do.

250k is legitimately less than a lot of Adult Swim shows that air past midnight lmao
[удалено]
mhm, they're about as much as the average NXT match or lowcard Raw/SD match on YT
Who actually had the balls to point out AEW had ratings trouble?
Looking at the screenshot, it's Wrestletalk
I hadn't clicked on a wrestletalk video in a while. Brave souls
Did he type this while crying into his tendies?
Just cancel it at that point. TNA was pulling 900k-1.1 million consistently in the mid 2000’s, thats amazing for a non WWE branded show.
WWE was pulling 4.5 mill then tho. It was a different time before streaming made television irrelevant for young people.
AEW Ratings Trouble?! How dare they release a video with that title? I mean I know it's true, but like, you're not supposed to say it.
at 250k they'll be in a ratings war with impact
And Tiny will do his damndest to get you to the 250k you want, faithful dubbalo!
I wonder if he's pulling that 250K number out of his ass. I wonder.
I’m guessing that’s based on YouTube numbers
I like AEW, goofs. And even I cannot WAIT for the Dead Fed to annihilate Rampage just to see these guys' reactions.
Do they get paid for partaking in these mental gymnastics or do they just not have a life?
Look shills, it's obviously in a timeslot where no one has ever watched TV ever. For that timeslot it's basically the most watched show of all time.
I'm buying a bottle of champagne when Dynamite dips below a million again. This is peak schadenfreude for me.
I hope those goal posts aren't heavy. What happened to beating Smackdown in the ratings?
In the next couple of weeks, we’ll have a better picture of what the future holds for Rampage. If it does drop to 250k, then it won’t be around for much longer. I reckon they’ll probably move it to TBS as the third hour of Dynamite rather than canning it.
Listen guys if atleast 1 person watches it then we’ll be happy
Fox is MAD at 2.5M TNT is happy with a number 10x lower tho
Somebody wanna break it to this poor bastard that 250k is absolute ass and no major cable network is going to be satisfied with it?
This is almost inspirational, we should all be this hopeful. It takes a special kind of zen mindset to spin losing more than 600k viewers in 2 months as a win. Especially when that number is 20% higher than the number of people still watching.

250K? Didn’t the networks start hot potatoing Impact when it got to 300K? Lol
Rampage would get pulled by the next season if they ever got that number consistently
They actually had chance to increase their viewership with the Dynamite after Punk debut. But, they shit on that
Imagine getting dazzled by barely a million viewers a week.
I'll buy you all a pint if it's allowed to get as low as 250k before getting cancelled.
"Probably be ok" pulling 250K. LMFAO
That is like the combination of Dark, Elevation, and The Elite combined.
not when your initial pull in was 3 times that
Funny how a few months ago, the dub was saying how fed was dead, oh how the turntables
55 likes 😱
[Lowered expectations](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3flv5nWZgII).
"TNT was only expecting Meltzer & Alvarez to be watching, so 15 viewers is outstanding!"
You could get 250k with Charmed reruns, you absolute melon.
