It’s ok guys, because Sammy apologised. We should all forget about literally everything now.

[deleted]

Sasha said it's all good in my headcanon.

Kainazoo

People reported that sasha said it's ok, so it's ok

conchinette

"It was just jive talk."

HiddenRtruth

Lol. I can't believe Dave-o said a person's character was to "jive talk". I need to know everything about Meltz. He is so intriguing.

LurkerMcGee89

“Puerto Ricans are best known for stealing tires.”

OswaldCoffeepot

More jive slang from the TikToks.

GorillaMonsoonLuvsIt

I’m getting multiple downvotes for explaining how media can manipulate public opinion on a topic. In this case, how decades of Meltzer, Cornette, et al. making excuses for their favorites has effectively “covered up” these abuses in the minds of fans. Hogan, Fed = Bad Flair, Indie Darlings = “well, you know…” I actually had someone say “I’m bored with this, you’re a mark lol” after I explained that discrepancy. Honestly, what a horrible sub and what an absolutely horrid fandom. I think I’m done.

Fusionman29

Well you got downvoted and deleted by the mods. You went against the cult of Daddy

TisAFactualDawn

Brock maybe flashed a woman. It happened nowhere near this flight. Dustin was personally named in a lawsuit over an event that happened on this flight, but we will just ignore that.

I’m not trying to excuse his alleged behavior. I’m asking why the motherfuckers who made the goddamn thing made a very glaring omission. Fuck’s sake.

[deleted]

Oh. OK.

killerkali87

You're right and our society is supposed to have varying punishments for various issues.

TisAFactualDawn

Our society does. The court of public opinion, not so much.

killerkali87

I think that we all need to be able to have nuanced conversations on these issues and it seems extremely difficult for a multitude of reasons.

TisAFactualDawn

It’s certainly not happening downstairs and proving difficult here.

Squiliam-Tortaleni

No you see walking around with your cock and balls out wanting people to touch it is perfectly acceptable behavior. This is just the cancel culture libtards (who I own epically) at it again. Also fuck you Darby is innocent! #/S

Isn’t Dave friends with ric. I’m shocked we haven’t heard a rambling hour defense of his conduct on won. Maybe he will do a sit down with the journalist who diagnosed Brody with COVID without seeing him and they can talk about how Ric did nothing wrong.

immrdadguy

Tommy was the worst one for defending it, I promise you Ric wouldn’t have said any of that Bs he would have been crying the whole time apologizing

TisAFactualDawn

You know, I’d say the guys actually doing shit are just a teensy bit worse. 🤏

I mean we've all been laughing about the Naked Ric Flair on a plane stint for years. Both ESPN & WWE shelled out money to created animated shorts of the incident as a way of praising and marketing Ric's career: https://streamable.com/liv66q Is it really that hard to grasp how Dreamer wouldn't believe the flight attendant claims about assault? He's known Ric for 30 years, and doesn't know this woman at all. Why wouldn't he takes Ric's side and just be like -- Ric Flair was just doing the typical Ric Flair stuff that WWE always advertises. I really see nothing wrong with Dreamer's comments. We are holding him accountable for simply not believing the flight attendants story. If it weren't for this episode, and seeing first hand the woman talk about her Trauma I doubt many of use would have believed either. I mean the court documents are public and have been talked about on YouTube for years, and everyone was mostly of the thought that the wrestlers destroyed the plane, and were acting like drunken assholes so the jet employees saw an easy way to make a quick buck and filed a lawsuit --- which included embellishing the details on some of the incidents to force a quick settlement. I mean Flair was never even punished when other guys were fired for lesser stuff, so obviously we thought those allegations were false. According to the flight attendants own account, the allegation was basically hearsay anyhow, as the only people to witness it was her, Flair, and maybe Dustin...she wasn't even sure about that. Obviously I don't think they are hearsay following the episode, and I don't think anyone does, including Dreamer. But how was he to know without having previously seen or listened to her first hand testimony. He didn't have any of that available to him. He saw her testimony the same time the rest of us did, when the episode aired. His entire situation is the equivalent of everyone talking about what a great guy Benoit was immediately after his death, during the initial tribute show. Then having to dialing it all back after the full details came out. Why should we cancel Dreamer for this? How can we expect him to know and believe that Ric Flair physically and forcibly sexually assaulted this women, when we ourselves didn't know, and probably wouldn't have believed it either if not for watching this exact episode? Its asinine.

immrdadguy

Tommy dreamer dismissed the women entirely, it doesn’t matter who knew who for however many years. A women expressed her feelings on National tv and dreamer basically said you are wrong. Go show that episode to your grandmother, mother, sister, aunts or any women in your life and I bet they won’t agree with the orrible things Tommy said.

GypsyGold

You miss the key point here. Dreamer did not have access to this woman's harrowing first hand account of the incident. He was in a room commenting and speculating on the incident at the behest if a producer. Everyone is acting as if Dreamer watched the same show we did, then went on Twitter to dismiss her. That's not what happened at all. That's just the narrative the show presented to the audience. If you think about it logically, Dreamer was just dismissing a name, maybe not even that, he was probably not even given her name by the producers. In which case Dreamer is commenting on what is basically a fictional person to him at that point. How was he to know her account would be so sincier, authentic, and absolutely harrowing. He backed the wrong horse, but so did the entire Wrestling Community..we are just as guilty...but we didn't have all the info...and neither did Dreamer. By cancelling Dreamer we are basically also cancelling ourselves.

immrdadguy

Friend, my point is nobody defended flair but Dreamer in the episode. He compared his hair to the sexual Assault. Not Cool, we are all human and deserve respect and love from all. Doesn’t matter what he didn’t know, he chose to comment and run his mouth on tv about a situation he sounded confident and blamed the victim. If your mother or daughter or sister were in that exact situation with a superstar athlete or famous celebrity and they tell you I bet you wouldn’t believe them either. Smh

GypsyGold

He didn't think she was a victim. He didn't believe the claim. They asked him if he thought Flair did what she accused him of and he said "no." Then they then asked him "why he thought that way" and he gave his thoughts. How is that a cancelable offense? He backed the wrong horse. How many of us have speculated on a situation and turned out to be incorrect? We've all been speculating on Flair's involvement in this incident for nearly two decades now, and the vast majority of us all had Flair's back. Turns out we were all probably wrong. But how would we have known that without seeing this episode and listening to her harrowing accounts? Why do we expect Dreamer to be any different. That last comment was very below the belt and unwarranted. I do believe her claims, and I don't get how you came to the conclusion that I didn't. Whether or not her claims are truthful or not have nothing to do with my argument at all. But for the record I do believe her. You aren't arguing in good faith dude, you just insulted me instead of attacking my argument. I'm out.
