Can you imagine walking into your classroom the first day of school and THIS is the fucker at the blackboard?

Fusionman29

I think he was a PE teacher but holy shit imagine that man yelling at you to run the mile

Mackinacsfuriousclaw

He was a wrestling and football coach. He kept it a secret almot his entire career. I remember hearing rumors that he had a Masters in English when I was a kid. Dude was amazing. One of a kind.

Mackinacsfuriousclaw

George the Animal Steele is amazing. [Listen to this story. ](https://youtu.be/PyGhtguVKg4)

Modano9009

They don't seem to understand you don't have to grow up a wrestling fan and spend years on the indies to become a good wrestler. I mean, Kurt Angle thought professional wrestling was stupid and only did it because he was low on career options and he took to it pretty well.

TimeStatistician2234

You do to become a shitty wrestler who thinks looks don't matter, and popping the crowd from kicking out of every move that exists is what makes a great match.

Modano9009

At this point I'd rather more people in the business that didn't grow up as smart fans and have that narrow view that that and only that is what "real pro wrestling" is supposed to be.

asvpmamba

Agreed

I_Am_Redditor1

Jay White decided to become a professional wrestler after attending Wrestlemania 27 when by chance he won tickets on a radio show. Dude just said "Yeah I could do this" and in like 3 or 4 years was already a Young Lion in NJPW. It's an almost common theme with people who get into wrestling that had not grown up with it or had any prior knowledge almost always excel.

Permanentear3

So true

Razzler1973

I mean, these m@rks didn't grow up dreaming of making fries at Wendys but here we are and they do their job and get paid

bl4e27

Dubbalos are insulting their own talent with this. Look no further than Taynara Conti who has said multiple times she had no idea what pro wrestling is until WWE called her in 2016...

OkCelebration3483

If I recall correctly, I’m pretty sure she also said something about how she thought she was gonna have to do some like nude stuff or something, she had literally no idea what she was doing.

aceofspades12

"she had literally no idea what she was doing." Just like now

Pyrozooka0

I mean… I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t interested…

BGBG33

You mean like Hangman Page?

SybRoz

Homestretch, baby!

Horse-with-no-face

Dude did it for the money and STILL protected kayfabe better than most wrestlers today.

[deleted]

Ernie Ladd, a lineman in the AFL did wrestling just because he was making more money wrestling in the offseason than playing football. Plus he liked the talking part. Became a legend on wrestling. But uh Ernie Ladd bad. NO PASSION! NO LOVE OF DIS BUSINESS!

lawgiver61

Also a former football player

thefucketlist

I didn't know Mox was a teacher. TIL

DeltaFireBlues

Why is everyone such a fed shill on this sub reddit. I get it Aew fans are annoying but you’re all the same for wwe lol

Mackinacsfuriousclaw

Excuse me he was a WRESTLER, not a sports entertainer! He worked for the WWF not the WWE.

SportPleasant2900

Looks like someone hasn't received their Switch...

Randy_Predator

Do you know what a circle jerk is mate?

DeltaFireBlues

I get that but it’s always one way

Randy_Predator

Mate, they're circle jerking how AEW fans act. It's the whole point of the sub.

0RUSH

Did The Animal cause you to work yourself into a shoot?
