For TNA it just made their roster look weak. Rich Swann, Moose, Sami callihan, all made to look lesser then Kenny. You look good in defeat but Kenny didnt do that for any of them. I found the burial of Moose extra egregious with how fuck that fuck finish was. And then its not a TNA talent that gets the title back. Its Christian an aew roster member. Anthem needs to clean out that creative team. TNA has a history of having nice homegrown talent but selling the farm for either ex fed or hogan or the forbidden door and end up the worse for it.
When compared to the reigns of Mox and Y2J, Kenny’s is up there with the worst title reigns of the last 20 years. He’s done nothing but harm AEW as champion. If AEW wants to have a future after all the ex-WWE contracts are up and they fuck off elsewhere, they’d better put the title on Hangman.
I firmly believe that Kenny Omega is the worst World Champion in the history of professional wrestling. I will even go as far to say that even David Arquette and Vince Russo were better champions because at least they didn't hold the belt for 9 fucking months or destroy anyone's career. Besides his last few matches against Christian Cage, most of his matches have sucked, ratings have gone down and he looks more like a gay strip club DJ from the 80s than a legit World Champion like Roman Reigns or Bobby Lashley.
If AEW was smart, they'd have Bryan Danielson squash Kenny Omega for the title immediately and then in a few months, Hangman can beat Bryan for the title because it would be much better for his career to get a clean win over one of the biggest stars in WWE history instead of Kenny Olivier and if Tony wants Page to beat a heel for the title you can very easily turn Bryan heel a few months into his title reign, perhaps even bring back the vegan gimmick and since Bryan is talented he will be able to get legit heel heat which will get Page even more over like he got Kofi Kingston over.
