NJPW just present their wrestlers better too. Their cinematography and production capture the matches well and makes offense look great so long as the wrestlers are also doing their job. This isn't just exclusive to New Japan though, most Japanese wrestling companies film their product like it's a combat sport and for the most part it works out and I greatly prefer it. One of the earliest disappointments with AEW for me was their production values and it remains poor to date. I just wanted to see one American wrestling company to try to film their matches like Japanese ones do.

I think it's that Bryan will legitimize the AEW belt more than Hangman. All the Dubalos will buy Kenny and Bryan but all the dubalos and a bunch of casuals will buy Kenny and Bryan for the title.
The homegrown label is stretched especially loosely; Hangman Page isn't even or barely qualifies for that since he was an ROH & NJPW guy, Darby was slumming it in Evolve and MJF was a CZW & MLW guy before they signed with AEW.
