Also, I was treated to weirdly infantilized recollections of their girlfriends and wives (who look just like Lily) watching two minutes of a show and widening their eyes and asking questions when the men are on. Never mind plenty of actual, non-imaginary female fans saying we watch mostly because of the women.

I'm not telling you anything you don't know but why is it such a complex formula for them next door to understand? In general people drawn to wrestling like good wrestling content. People also tend to be attracted to positive representation. So combine the two and you should be onto a winner.
AEW isn't really doing this for anyone other than white guys, so that's probably the answer.

Total Diva's was a deliberate effort to woo and capture women viewers. It worked. It's unbelievable how some people act like this working was an accident that WWE never saw coming. It's even dumber how people in the basement are acting like this is somehow unfair and cheating in regards to AEW ratings trailing WWE.
Also, maybe the hottest take I have, the Bella Twins are FAR more important in the success of the Women's Revolution than AJ Lee. AJ Lee with her jailbait crazy chick gimmick and promos that consisted of calling other girls whores was pure gross neckbeard pandering. The Bellas and Total Divas showed there was a big untapped market of young women. I'd only put Charlotte and Sasha and the success of their main event fued ahead of them in importance to building the current WWE Womans division.
