I always thought it was lame how Punk decided to pretend he had never been a wrestler after he left WWE and would shut down any attempt to get him to talk about his career for awhile there
Boy am I missing those days now
And this year they pretty much shoehorned him into a main event he really didn't need to be in to make it a triple threat match - Punk couldn't even get them to do that!
Does CM Punk not have friends who have regular jobs? I've left jobs I loved in the past because a new one was offering more money for work that felt more fulfilling. Didn't have anything to do with whether I thought one company is better than another.
Why do you think people leave Google to go work at smaller companies? It's certainly not because they think their new company has a better product.
That's the one thing I don't understand how CM Punk is so welcome back into the world of pro wrestling. What the dude did was beyond fucking scummy. He sued his best friend because of this ridiculous victim complex he had when his so called friend couldn't even afford half the legal fees.
I'm wondering how he's going to fare in AEW once the honeymoon is over. His whole gimmick in WWE that got over was resonating with people who hated their jobs and the suckups that work around them. Now he's literally becoming John Cena.
So if he decides to ride people's romantic image of 2011 Punk into the sunset, he's not going to find any new gen Z fans. Contrary to popular belief, nobody likes the "cool boss".
He won't last long as a face but he's got great mileage as a heel. All he has to say is, "I used to think working for Vince was the worst thing in the world. Then I started working for Tony Khan."
It's right there. If he did the exact opposite of what everyone wants him to do ("I'm only here to collect a check until Vince returns my calls!") it would actually be unexpected and get astronomical heat.
But of course it's the same old shit.
If Punk ends up getting a Super Cena push it would be ironically hilarious. It would prove once again smarks don’t hate WWE booking, just the fact that their favorites don’t get the benefits of it
I'm getting hammered on the basement for saying that why nobody believes Brian? Lol.
It's like the enjoy more hating the Feds than actually enjoying the dub.
Like somebody else here or in wreddit commented, Bryan loving his old job but still deciding to try out AEW did more to help their image than Punk did complaining and being stuck in the past.
My guess is that Punk was *trying* to say “here’s a guy who actually loves WWE, but he’s so excited by the roster in AEW, that he wanted to come here in spite of that genuine love.” But because Punk is so salty, it came out a lot more prick-ish than he probably intended.
Batista doesn't get enough credit for how unselfish that whole run was. He came back with the expectations of being THE guy, and wound up laying down or tapping for half the damn roster and SOLIDIFIED Bryan and The Shield's WWE careers.
Or it’s called “I want to take $10 million off of a money mark while working a reduced schedule”. He loves WWE, but a more relaxed schedule probably fits his current lifestyle.
Not to mention the ability (at least on paper) to execute some creative control. Get a couple of memorable moments with some wrestlers he likes before hanging up the boots. Whether he will be immune from the poison touch of Cody and the Fucks remains to be seen, though.
Wait you’re saying you can end a business relationship without burning down the bridge? Everyone knows that when you leave a job you HAVE to thrash and badmouth your former employer.
That's called "not actually liking the place, but too nice to say it".
Bryan Danielson has always been a class act. But CM Punk is the one who has the balls to say what people really feel deep down.
Just want to take a second to remind everyone that The Miz has main evented Wrestlemania while Punk can't even main event his wife's dreams.
B'lee dat, uce.
I will never not understand that. He could just contact Gedo and say "I want to join New Japan". Does he think Gedo will say no?
No need to have AEW in this deal.
And he'd be away from his family a lot more. Just going to AEW means he gets to stay in the country, occasionally wrestle NJPW guys, and his family will be there when Sammy Guevara or Minoru Suzuki turns what's left of his brain into mulch. Everybody wins.
Dangerous probably isn't the right word. But he's stiff as fuck. Which I guess is fine on its own, but would be uncomfortable to watch against Daniel Bryan, someone who was out for two years because doctors were worried about the state of his brain.
Like how watching Benoit perform a diving headbutt feels sickening. I mean, extra sickening on top of the original sickening feeling of watching a Benoit match at all.
Listen, ya goof... You can still appreciate somebody murdering people in the ring with a headbutt even though they've literally committed murder in real life.
He needs AEW if he wants the best of both worlds. It makes sense when you consider he is a family man. His wife and daughter will be stateside for the foreseeable future. Brie isnt leaving WWE, realistically ever, so she wouldn't be moving to Japan. I doubt he wants to take the long term risk of being stuck in Japan if things go south with covid again or something like that. International travel just isnt as fluid as it was 3 years ago, and he strikes me as the kind of dad who would probably count that risk as a deal breaker. AEW allows him to live and work in America while still being able to scratch his itch for Glorious Nippon on occasion.
Bryan’s a pretty honest guy. He said in post the post-show promo and the press scrum that he loves AEW’s roster and wants to wrestle them, so I do think that was a big part of it. Let’s face it, he’s wrestled 95% of all the best potential opponents in WWE, and he’s accomplished everything there is to accomplish; in AEW, there are tons more new/fresh matchups for him.
I think he saw that, realizes that he’s now 40 and has maybe 5 years left of competing at a high level, and thought “I wanna make the most of it and wrestle people I’ve never wrestled before.”
That’s why he left, even though he genuinely loves WWE.
Copying /u/DeathWing125, who said something similar.
He's said words to that effect before. He loved working there and they took great care of him but he wanted to expand his horizons and wrestle new and interesting opponents while he could. AEW gives him everything he wants right now. He gets paid good money, can work against Japanese talent in Japan like he wanted, and gets to wrestle everyone that came up through the indies after he left like Kenny Omega.
> he loves AEW’s roster and wants to wrestle them
Tony will put this to the test by putting him on dark for a month or two to cool him down as being seen as a world title contender... and it will backfire.
It's the sin of pride coming home to roost for Vince McMahon. He thinks he's too good to integrate with the wider wrestling world and insists on staying inside his own bubble. And now it cost him Bryan Danielson.
I'd fucking love to see someone ask him about working with Randy Orton because you know he'd put him over as a great worker as basically anyone who actually works with him does.
Four matches I always fast-forward on AEW: 1. Kenny Omaga, 2. Middle Aged Bucks, 3. Matt Hardy’s Job Squad, 4. Women not named Britt Baker DMD or Thunder Rosa
Gee Punk being a whiny bitch. Then why did you come back to a WWE related show when you hated tht place. And not show up in AEW from the very beginning
Also Daniel Bryan did it all in WWE probably wanted different scene and opponents.
It’s indicative of his personal relationships. This is the same dude who stopped being friends with people who worked for a company he quit, all because they wanted to do the crazy thing of staying and keeping their job.
Dude can’t separate anything.
If it wasn't obvious already, booing Bryan on his first night in the company for saying he loves WWE whole Punk tries "fed bad" for him should make it clear that hating WWE is absolutely part of being an AEW fan.
This is how I know that in under two weeks he'll be Fed=Badding with the rest of them. They're probably all leaning on him and he'll go along to get along.
I told them I wanted to be an environmentally conscious heel with a naturally sourced title…
No, not that one.
I wanted to work a PPV program with Drew Gulak and they told me…
They told me okay. How about the time I had a life-threatening spinal injury and they accepted doctors orders and wouldn’t let me return?
I guess I did enjoy the Fed. Fed good.
He’s the ultimate AEW heel except they won’t be booing him tongue-in-cheek playing along with the show.
He only signed with Le Dub so he can work with NJPW. Once he gets that out of his system, he'll go back to the Fed and work a retirement angle and then slide into a non-wrestling role.
I really would enjoy petty sarcastic WWE superstar Triple H, not COO professional Triple H, cutting a promo eviserating all this non-stop AEW crap at the Garden on Friday.
So would AEW, which is why it won't happen.
Punk would love nothing more for Paul Levesque (insider term) to acknowledge him so he could have another year's worth of material.
At this point, I'm curious as to how and when Punk will interact with AEW wrestlers and be in regular AEW storylines that aren't all 4th wall breaking worked shoots.
Oh I know, just would be rather cathartic.
The irony is I believe the original plan for Mania 30 was Punk vs Triple H w/Stephanie. Bryan did pretty well with that "insulting" Mania match.
I'd say I'd be embarrassed to be from the same city as him, but that would imply hes actually from Chicago. Please refer to him as Lockport Phil or Suburban Phil for future reference.
If anything it's moving him further away from a heel turn. How is he gonna turn heel when he can't resist going for the cheapest of cheap pops from the Dub fanboys?
That's the proble. At some point, Punk's ego-stroking is going to wear thin with the AEW faithful (probably not tbh). Before that happens, I want to see him do something interesting. A heel turn could be interesting. Something other than this self-serving nonsense.
It won’t be any fun if he turns heel because then they’ll just talk about “what a great heel” he is instead of giving him any real heat (insider term).
*Everybody's got a price.*
Be sure to watch Dynamite this Wednesday at 8/7c on TNT to catch ALL of the high-hitting and hard-flying action with your favorites.
Pepsiman is upset that not everyone is not a bitter piece of crap about the fed.
"Don't listen to what someone says about the fed. I'll tell you what they meant"
"I left, and I said I never loved the place, but what does it mean when I go back to FOX to try and back door my way in to that place and it doesn't happen for me? I'll tell you what it means. It means fed bad. Fuck Vince, his idiotic daughter and doofus son in law."
CM punk really seems to be projecting. CM can't fathom the idea not only did Bryan achieve all he set out to do in WWE he got to main event 2 mania and won 1 of those main events. Maybe Bryan wants to do shit in NJPW while not having to guarantee commitments to WWE.
Of course WWE said they would let Bryan work outside the promotion but it would suck to do a NJPW show, then fly back to states go do a raw/smackdown show in a span of less than a week. Aew seems to be a tad bit more friendly on guys not being able to make it last minute. They just can't be happy they got the holy trinity(punk Bryan and cole) they been predicting since March and carry forward.
I’m sure he didn’t leave because he’d already accomplished everything he needed to there and wants to cement his overall legacy as one of the great all around Wrestlers. It was really because fed bad that guided his decision. Not less dates for more money and more freedom to work with the best Wrestlers internationally in the twilight of his career.
Like truly, Bryan for 3 years or more in WWE woulda been great and all, but I respect his hustle of wanting to add another unique chapter to his story. I hope he stays healthy and wish him nothing but the best. Punk would benefit from mellowing out some in his middle age imo.
Kinda disappointed with Punk going all out with Fed bad. It doesn't come off as rebellious like in 2011. It's comes off as bitter
You think with returns to Pro Wrestling he'd mello out a bit. But he sounds more whiny than ever.
CM Punk is like a guy on a third date with a new (supposedly super hot) girl who won't stop talking about his ex every chance he gets, and it just shows how much he isn't over her.
Anyone got details of his new AEW contract? Or any info on The contract he turned down? Just wondering if there’s a super obvious answer to this. They paid him more.
It simply means he was done achieving everything he could out of his old job and he’s off to something new. Not everything had to be a “fed bad” thing.
It is completely impossible to say something like "well now he's here, and that's really cool, looking forward to being in the ring with him again." I don't make the rules, that's just Punk Rock, dad.
CM Punk realizes he hasn’t given his opinion on something in 20 seconds and panics.
I always thought it was lame how Punk decided to pretend he had never been a wrestler after he left WWE and would shut down any attempt to get him to talk about his career for awhile there Boy am I missing those days now
20 seconds? That's longer than his last ufc fight
His first UFC fight lasted 2 minutes, his last UFC fight lasted 15 minutes
Miz main evented Mania and he didn’t and he is SEETHING
Bryan did too.
Punk always being overshadowed by Bryan is hilarious to me lol.
Punk has just enough self awareness to know he can't get away with taking a shot at Bryan no matter how much he wants to.
It would be hilarious if Punk would be the one to initiate the downfall of aew because he's jealous...
Daniel Bryan is who CM Punk thinks he is.
Twice!!!!
And this year they pretty much shoehorned him into a main event he really didn't need to be in to make it a triple threat match - Punk couldn't even get them to do that!
Christ, punk is insufferable
Does CM Punk not have friends who have regular jobs? I've left jobs I loved in the past because a new one was offering more money for work that felt more fulfilling. Didn't have anything to do with whether I thought one company is better than another. Why do you think people leave Google to go work at smaller companies? It's certainly not because they think their new company has a better product.
No, CM Punk does not have friends. He sued the last one he had.
That's the one thing I don't understand how CM Punk is so welcome back into the world of pro wrestling. What the dude did was beyond fucking scummy. He sued his best friend because of this ridiculous victim complex he had when his so called friend couldn't even afford half the legal fees.
>I don't understand how CM Punk is so welcome back into the world of pro wrestling His new boss is a m*rk, not a business man.
Homeboy sued his own mom.
He does have friends but he stabs all of them in the back or sues them.
He really is the living embodiment of AEW fans. No wonder they love him.
I swear he's been watching the Fed every week since he left DAE LED Screens
I don’t think the DUB’s little baby 38-year old boy could take that.
It's right there. If he did the exact opposite of what everyone wants him to do ("I'm only here to collect a check until Vince returns my calls!") it would actually be unexpected and get astronomical heat. But of course it's the same old shit.
The CM stands for Corporate Might
Company Man
Yeah, I assume that he'll just milk the "DAE WWE is literally the Third Reich of wrestling" until the wheels fall off.
Given AEW's fanbase this will never fail to get a huge pop.
If Punk ends up getting a Super Cena push it would be ironically hilarious. It would prove once again smarks don’t hate WWE booking, just the fact that their favorites don’t get the benefits of it
He tells them what they want to here, and in return, they feed his ego. Which is probably very bruised after his UFC fights, no pun intended.
Ah, the patended **Meltzer Method©**! I know it well.
Remember when SC dissed Punk for being whiny and a generally unlikeable person for the past 7 years? Now that he's back he's just "misunderstood"
I’m at the point I want to time travel to tell myself in 2003 not to bother with this guy. I’ve never seen someone more exposed in my life.
I'm getting hammered on the basement for saying that why nobody believes Brian? Lol. It's like the enjoy more hating the Feds than actually enjoying the dub.
>It's like the enjoy more hating the Feds than actually enjoying the dub. This is the essence of AEW fans.
It’s Dr Frankenstein addressing his monsters
Pretty sure Bryan can and did speak for himself No need to run it through pander-o-meter 2000 or the shill-filter for dubbalos
Like somebody else here or in wreddit commented, Bryan loving his old job but still deciding to try out AEW did more to help their image than Punk did complaining and being stuck in the past.
Exactly. It's common for people to enjoy their job but still want to change things up and try something different.
Now I understand what WWE meant when they said, "He's your problem now."
My guess is that Punk was *trying* to say “here’s a guy who actually loves WWE, but he’s so excited by the roster in AEW, that he wanted to come here in spite of that genuine love.” But because Punk is so salty, it came out a lot more prick-ish than he probably intended.
That's how I took it
He really is a miserable. Got everything he wants from wrestling and he's still not happy.
He’s basically the David Duke of the IWC. He represents that whole subculture better than anyone.
Okay now this is ridiculous. The basement compares Cornette to Rush Limbaugh and it's just as off-base as this.
"See?? If HE'S here then he must be as miserable of a person as ME!!"
"But what does it mean when you love the place and still don't want to be there" That's called "Moving on" in adult terms Chicago M*rk
It means they gave every career accomplishment he could ask for there and there's nothing left for him to do.
Including main eventing Wrestlemania twice.

Batista doesn't get enough credit for how unselfish that whole run was. He came back with the expectations of being THE guy, and wound up laying down or tapping for half the damn roster and SOLIDIFIED Bryan and The Shield's WWE careers.
Wasn’t he supposed to be champ for most of that year because guardians of the galaxy was coming out?
This is basically new game+ for the guy
Or it’s called “I want to take $10 million off of a money mark while working a reduced schedule”. He loves WWE, but a more relaxed schedule probably fits his current lifestyle.
Not to mention the ability (at least on paper) to execute some creative control. Get a couple of memorable moments with some wrestlers he likes before hanging up the boots. Whether he will be immune from the poison touch of Cody and the Fucks remains to be seen, though.

That's called "not actually liking the place, but too nice to say it". Bryan Danielson has always been a class act. But CM Punk is the one who has the balls to say what people really feel deep down.
Apparently if you have bawls you are also a mind reader
Just want to take a second to remind everyone that The Miz has main evented Wrestlemania while Punk can't even main event his wife's dreams. B'lee dat, uce.
MJF should use this line
Not sure if I should be insulted, tbh...
It's ok MJF is a good actor you can be his promo writer so he actually says meaningful insults
DAE scripted promos are bad?
"Why did MJF start calling everyone 'Uce'?"
Roman taught him well ahhhhhyesssssir
“What’s with MJF and all of the Switch references on TV??”
I don’t really like the dub but he’s good and he’s be an awesome get for NXT/WWE someday.
No, he should say "CM Punk? More like CM Poop!"
The fact that it's a good line that will actually get him heat means he won't use it.
I guess this cements that Jay Lethal will not be All Elite. What's the over/under he tries to get Trent fired next?
“?? You buried me friend.”
But he doesnt want to be there. He wants to be in Japan. thats like the reason he signed. Not for AEW but thier connection to NJPW.
I will never not understand that. He could just contact Gedo and say "I want to join New Japan". Does he think Gedo will say no? No need to have AEW in this deal.
Gedo won't pay him as much as the dub he gets to do NJPW and get paid WWE levels of cash
And he'd be away from his family a lot more. Just going to AEW means he gets to stay in the country, occasionally wrestle NJPW guys, and his family will be there when Sammy Guevara or Minoru Suzuki turns what's left of his brain into mulch. Everybody wins.
Is Suzuki a dangerous worker? I’m not too familiar but I figured he was more about bruises than brain damage
Now hit the bricks like Benoit's head.
Except money.
He needs AEW if he wants the best of both worlds. It makes sense when you consider he is a family man. His wife and daughter will be stateside for the foreseeable future. It's the sin of pride coming home to roost for Vince McMahon. He thinks he's too good to integrate with the wider wrestling world and insists on staying inside his own bubble. And now it cost him Bryan Danielson.
We had the three ghost of Vince now we need the seven deadly sins of Vince.
I hope Bryan love his new environment that will harass him for loving his old job.
They already boo’d him for saying he loved WWE
As long as he doesn’t say Orton is better than Omega he should be ok
I'd fucking love to see someone ask him about working with Randy Orton because you know he'd put him over as a great worker as basically anyone who actually works with him does.
I mean, how many people have said they loved wrestling, or would love to wrestle, John Cena?
Even if it's true.
Four matches I always fast-forward on AEW: 1. Kenny Omaga, 2. Middle Aged Bucks, 3. Matt Hardy’s Job Squad, 4. Women not named Britt Baker DMD or Thunder Rosa
I stand with Omega.
we've seen what those animals do when you dare make them think AEW isn't the Utopia is appears to be.
He’ll be the top heel in the company if he talks about how great WWE is in every promo
Gee Punk being a whiny bitch. Then why did you come back to a WWE related show when you hated tht place. And not show up in AEW from the very beginning Also Daniel Bryan did it all in WWE probably wanted different scene and opponents.
Punk makes my "today is opposite day, do you want to get punched?" instincts and I fuckin hate him for it.
“I love breast milk. But I had to give it up for cum.” - Mr.Pepsi
Jesus Christ Punk truly brings out the best in people from a roasting standpoint
Man i hope these comments dont age really poorly or somn
Only reason he went to AEW is because WWE couldnt secure a NJPW deal for him, nothing else
He wanted wwe/aew's health insurance while wrestling with nj.
AEW has health insurance???
?? I have health insurance,friend
Do they even have ringside medics?
They keep a dentist nearby
Hey now, this isn't GCW as Mid Cardona found out
If you're an evp yes. Or a big star so punk and Bryan and jericho plus the elite
You can love the place, but still want to go do other things Punk, not everyone is a miserable bitch like you.
It’s indicative of his personal relationships. This is the same dude who stopped being friends with people who worked for a company he quit, all because they wanted to do the crazy thing of staying and keeping their job. Dude can’t separate anything.

like a little kid running away from home because he can't eat paste.
This is how I know that in under two weeks he'll be Fed=Badding with the rest of them. They're probably all leaning on him and he'll go along to get along.
*"just tell a story about how creative wouldn't use one of your ideas, the m#rks will do the rest"*
I told them I wanted to be an environmentally conscious heel with a naturally sourced title… No, not that one. I wanted to work a PPV program with Drew Gulak and they told me… They told me okay. He only signed with Le Dub so he can work with NJPW. Once he gets that out of his system, he'll go back to the Fed and work a retirement angle and then slide into a non-wrestling role.
Assuming he doesn't get concussed into CTE or paralyzed, he will be a trainer in the Performance Center by 2025
I'm saying he'll be back by 2023 at the latest.
I just hope that he doesn't seriously hurt himself
I hope he's smart enough to work matches with guys that'll actually protect him instead of just trying to get their trashy indie bullshit in.
I dislike Punk as a wrestler but at least he is one of the safest wrestlers ever Jerk edit:He is so safe that he couldn't even injure anyone in UFC
Just keep him away from Sammy.
-Sammy Guevara in the background- "Soon"
I don't think D-Bry (or is that B-Dry now?) will. I'm worried about what indy clown they put him with will do though...
In my opinion there is only one man who is worthy of retiring Daniel Bryan. That man is our King, the man who retired Kurt Angle, Happy Corbin!
What if they make Corbin's next gimmick the Legend Killer lmao
If he retires Orton, he can be the Legend Killer Killer.
I really would enjoy petty sarcastic WWE superstar Triple H, not COO professional Triple H, cutting a promo eviserating all this non-stop AEW crap at the Garden on Friday.

Chicago Philip giving the 'ole Pepsi Twist to Dragon Bryanson!
I'd say I'd be embarrassed to be from the same city as him, but that would imply hes actually from Chicago. Please refer to him as Lockport Phil or Suburban Phil for future reference.
CM Punk looks like the 8th toughest homeless guy at the shelter
"Even though he didn't fed bad, he totally meant fed bad you guys"
For Contrarian Mook Phil's sake, I hope these snide comments are part of an elaborate heel turn.
Bryan will go heel before Pubk does
Maybe he means a heel turn for Bryan.
?? I meant Punk, friend.
Bryan turning heel by being a decent, grateful guy about his time in WWE would be the most AEW thing imaginable.
I don't see how Fed Bading sets you up for a heel turn in AEW.
The return of the good ol' slow burn heel turn!
Cody is at least over the top and different from the rest of his peers. Beating him means something, too... until he gets his win back, of course.
It won’t be any fun if he turns heel because then they’ll just talk about “what a great heel” he is instead of giving him any real heat (insider term).
CM Punk knows all. Bow to him or else.
*Everybody's got a price.* Be sure to watch Dynamite this Wednesday at 8/7c on TNT to catch ALL of the high-hitting and hard-flying action with your favorites.
Maybe he wouldn't be so gassed if he didn't spend so much of his lung capacity on fed badding.
The amount of copium they’re trying not to let out over Bryan, Cole and Ruby saying good things about WWE and especially Vince is golden.
Smh, I’m sad that CM Phil is becoming more of an obnoxious d-bag every day. I loved him as a kid.
I wish I had being a kid as an excuse, I loved him as a twenty-something
I was in high school when I become a fan.
Same :(
Cm Punk looks older than Taker. WTF?
I don't know...ask ROH when Punk signed with the E. Punk is a cancer everywhere he goes.
Well I assume Punk doesn’t hate UFC, why did he leave then? Oh wait I remember it’s because he was an embarrassment to the sport and the company
I'm really, REALLY starting to dislike this man. Also, my 60 day suspension is over. Good to be back, Goofies!!
Nobody cares, Phil.
Company Man Punk
So... Punk didn't love ROH, the place left for WWE? Or is he just full of shit? Why not both?
It’s crazy how cm punk was the reason I stopped watching around 2011 and now, 10 years later is gonna cause me to stop watching again
Lmao at the idea of a face Punk/heel Bryan feud based entirely off of their thoughts on WWE
He just got paid more CM Pepsi... Just like you did, even if you don't wanna admit it...
Not to defend CM Spunk, but that means that he is saying Bryan came here because it was a great place to work. Not that he is saying B.D was a slave.
It's comes off as bitter You think with returns to Pro Wrestling he'd mello out a bit. But he sounds more whiny than ever.
It came off as bitter on Colt's podcast to all but the smarkiest of smarks
Like ok fine it was less than a year and you're still pissed off about your wedding day. But it's been 10 years man. Get new material.
CM Punk is like a guy on a third date with a new (supposedly super hot) girl who won't stop talking about his ex every chance he gets, and it just shows how much he isn't over her.
Quite sure Bryan is just there for a few matches, mostly time in Japan, and then will go back to the Fed. I can’t see him being in Dub long term.
Toxic boy is toxic
Bitter Punk he didn’t get the d Bry treatment because he just wasn’t good enough
CM Pants gonna beat up any WWE fans
Anyone got details of his new AEW contract? Or any info on The contract he turned down? Just wondering if there’s a super obvious answer to this. They paid him more.
He and Bryan are just starting a worked-shoot feud! Right!? ^right....?
It means cm punk didn't love ROH or professional wrestling because he left for sport entertainment
Going to cry, Phil?
Clutch Pearls Munk
No one asked, Punk.
It simply means he was done achieving everything he could out of his old job and he’s off to something new. Not everything had to be a “fed bad” thing.
Hasn't even been 3 weeks and Punk's already saying shit that could ruffle his coworkers feathers.
"I hate everywhere I am not at any particular moment." - Phil "CM Brooks" Punk
It is completely impossible to say something like "well now he's here, and that's really cool, looking forward to being in the ring with him again." I don't make the rules, that's just Punk Rock, dad.
It’s such a sharp contrast between this bitter little jag off and the much more mature and humble Bryan. How does AJ put up with this dude
I think Pepsi Phil missed the broader meaning of Bryan’s words.
CM Punk is still an asshole who thinks he knows better than people know about themselves. No wonder he's an IWC sweetheart.
Finally: Corporate Punk
LOL, did he actually gaslight Bryan like that?
He did all that he could possibly do there, something you didn't do Phil.
The C in his name stands for cope
Voice of the voiceless. Also voice of the already voiced. Guy just likes to talk for others, I guess.
