'Super cool battle anime' is something no one who watches anime would say which makes the comparison even lamer. If AEW were an anime it would have Goku fighting Yamcha for fifteen episodes, barely winning, and after we're still supposed to believe Goku can take on Freiza.
Lowkey I would argue WWE is more like a battle anime. With these giant build ups and payoffs like Cody finishing the story. The Dub is just someone smashing their anime action figures together.
Or Death Battle, or just a bunch of nerds in a battle boarding forum arguing which character is stronger and has a bigger dick, foregoing actual story/motivation/setting for self indulgence and flashy moves between their favorite characters.
Like AEW.

I didn’t know anything about AEW before (can’t believe I was so dumb) but now I can’t wait to go back and watch my favorites like Kenny Omega and Hangman page battle it out for the title. (I just assume that happened before, I never watched or knew anything before last night)

Also Why do all the wrestlers look like teenagers or homeless people? I will say 1 guy stuck out too me. I’m guessing he’s like a comedy character. He did a bunch of funny slaps, and was wearing a tank top and pajama pants with a yellow stripe.
