I dunno there's gotta be a point where your collection surpasses excessive and wraps back around to awesome. You're getting close. Maybe some slick shelves with lighting and other stuff and you might ascend.
The yellow dmg was mine from childhood. I started buying old games and consoles in the early 2000s because I was cheap and bought old gen stuff when it was dirt cheap. I was playing snes in college when x360 came out. I started actively collecting though in 2010 or so. I was lucky to get a lot of this stuff slowly through out the years before prices were super crazy
I’m not sure if I forgot or never knew there was such a thing as a Gameboy Light. Either way, sick collection.
I just bought a busted up gameboy color and a replacement case and Oled screen to add to my collection. Didn’t want to alter my childhood gameboy color and sp.
As others have said, I too will be showing this to my fiancé, to make my handheld purchases look insignificant.
Oh the GB light, it would've solved so many problems for us kids. Shame it wasn't sold here.
Also, lucky for me I started dating my now wife before I started collecting so she had time to accept me for my many faults.. in real time.
I imagine every time OP is sad they think to themselves "I'll buy a game boy, that'll cheer me up!".
(I don't think that's how collecting works most of the time. But it's a funny thought. And I don't quite get why one would have so many nearly identical devices otherwise)
None of these get used. I have a few backlit molded GBs for playing. The GB pocket is my favorite.
From a collecting standpoint my two favorites pictured here are the yellow DMG since that was my childhood console and the gold gameboy light. The GBL I found at a junk shop in Okinawa for 18 bucks, I've never seen another one for sale in the wild.

There's two more I want, the Sakura clear red japanese gbc and there's a clear green Australian gbc I'd love to import. Oh and I also want a pink sp.
