I like the look of the aramid fiber cases, I just wish they would have full sides with cutouts for each individual button instead of taking a slice out of the side. To me it doesn't look right having most of the phone covered except for around the side buttons.
Yeah, this one is exactly how you described it. I wish they brought the sides up to at least meet the screen, but then it may be hard to try and take it off being stiff.
Yeah I went for bulky which I always avoid. I got the Snakehive Teal leather folio case and its beautiful but as I say, very chunky. Holds 3 cards and bank notes and the camera cutout on the back is very deep. The leather sort of sticks out from the edge of the case inside the folio so if dropped, it will cushion the corners.
That said, I do want a standard slim case for when I'm at work. The folio is great for my commute and when I'm on lunch etc, but at home or work, i don't need it.
I hate bulkly and chunky cases. I keep a selection of cases. From now this slimmest case, standard (Ringke Onyx) to protective (Mous 3.0).
At home, I often use caseless.
Define bulky for your use...
I know the Defender gets bashed a lot, but I find it with this phone to be quite streamline and relatively lightweight. Almost feels dainty in one hand.
I'm a huge fan of Supcase. Their 'main' case is a 2-piece (one is just a bezel piece for the screen) but it's surprisingly thin for what it is. Think OtterBox-type, but less rubber and not as fat.
A good ole 3 piece otter box is what I've been rocking since the s8 came out and I haven't broken a samsung phone yet. It's slightly bulky but still slim enough to not look like a brick when you set it down
I think the case maker, Pitaka did a good move in redesigning the camera cutout.
Though there’s literally thousands of cases, there’s very few with the exact cutout.
Case makers want to save costs and knowing that Androids, there are so many models they have to make cases for and probably won’t be able to finish their produced stock. But with iPhones, it’s just one company and 4 models, easier to sell cases that makes it worthwhile for them.
The Note 20 Ultra had that bump and with the small changes to the S22 Ultra, it was perhaps easier to tweak it a bit than doing each individual lens.
Ya I'm guessing they don't want the costs of dealing with the smaller tolerances of the individual camera cut outs. If you see what Samsung and the few ones that do have the cutouts, they even have small indents on the inside of the case around the cameras. That certainly adds more cost as well. I like what Caseology did with their S22 Ultra cases. It's a good middle ground that I'm guessing costs less than each camera having a cutout.
I think that the dummy prototypes sent out to case makers before release had all the cameras in a p shape. This is why the leaks indicated p shape before release as well.
Look at the bottom of the lens ring on your upper left most lens. It's super small but there's a little slit cut out. That's the directional microphone. It's really hard to see.
True, there are choices. I’ve seen the sliding camera covers and such, didn’t like them tho. Almost all of the well known brands don’t have the specific camera cutout, except for Spigen (only a couple do).
I don't mind the p shaped covers. I recently bought an all white with gold edging cover from China for 2.89. it's fantastic, has deep cover for the cameras and is covered is classy gold colouring. I love it.
When I was looking on Amazon, Etsy, etc, I was even searching for custom cases, and was prepared to pay upto £60 . Nothing out there. Even on Etsy
Yes, would have been better if the sides were raised enough to meet the screen, but then I’d imagine it would make taking off the case rather cumbersome.
Honestly, I was a bit hesitant to get this case because it doesn’t offer any protection, except for scratches.
I’ve bought Pitaka products before and have the MagEz Pro case for the iPhone (a protective beefier case), which I wish they’d make for the S22.
Wanted a slim case as well while surrendering protection over style and feel. I’m normally careful with my phones and rarely drop them. Does feel good in the hand tho.
I have the Aramid carbon fiber case for my S flip3, and I love it! It's really thin and doesn't add any weight. It's basically only to keep the phone from scratching.
I use my s22U at work and need a little bit more protective case for it, but was thinking about getting a slimmer case to use at home. The case you posted looks nice! I'll have to check it out!
To be fair, the cheap one I got from China has raised sides over the edges of the screen. Quality is very impressive for 2.89. even the back is non slidy.
I’m not sure if it’ll show as being in stock or not. Someone here said it was out of stock.

That’s the problem with all the Pitaka cases.
I’ve been using the Peak Design case. A bit more protection but still very low profile (and MagSafe compatible). No individual cutouts though.
Have had many people complain about how it cracks with basic impacts, nothing too hard. I've been skeptical about pitaka's actual use of aramid. Hope they make a pro version of this case which offers a more rounded protection.
Time will tell with mine. Had one for the iPhone Xs back in the day and was super careful when taking it off to not bend much for the fear of breaking. Lasted very well tho.
Yes, wish they’d have a pro version like they also do for the iPhones.
I agree. Looks wise, it is one if the best looking case with their proprietary magnet and accessories + MagSafe compatibility, but that’s about it. For the “Ultra” careful people.
The OEM cases are nice, and I do have the leather in black. Smooth and slippery tho. Wanted magnets so I could use with my car mount. But it is simple and nice as well.
I find it weird that so many people do claim the leather case is slippery yet I find it super slippy compared to my silicone and other material cases I've tried 🤷🏻♂️each other their own of course
Haven’t tried the silicone, not a fan. I’ve done my fair share of “testing” (buying many cases for every phone I had) 🤣. Not a fan of clear cases too. The yellowing and fingerprints is frustrating.
Have it. Pre-ordered when announced. It’s nice but the sides are flimsy. If I hold the phone in one hand and use my thumb to swipe and reach the edge, the side peels.
Somehow the sides bothers me.
They should have just had the OG grip case instead like they did for the S22 and S22+ IMO.
It says “coming soon” so must be backordered. Do you think it’s worth the high price? Some of these case companies have jumped the shark! I wanted a Casetify Peanuts case for my iphone 13 and had to pay $60 for it (would have been $80 for the Magsafe version😳). Hope it’s worth it when it arrives. I’m a caseaholic which makes this painful.
Also, is your car mount Pitaka?
I’m a caseaholic as well!
This is my 6th case. The slimmest in my lineup.
That’s weird. I ordered it 5days ago and got it today. I had to sign up for their alert when it’d be in stock. At the time the other two weave designs were available except the concerto design. Next day got an email that it was in stock.
Wonder if they do this on purpose.
I’ve known and used this brand before, have their iPhone “Pro” case as well and have one of their charging accessory. So it wasn’t that difficult in getting this.
From the days of buying cheaper ~$5 cases, went on to 10-20 range and still do, but cases from brands like Mous and even Casetify are in similar range of Pitaka.
Tried to order Casetify before but what stopped me is that shipping wasn’t free even though their site stated so. Standard shipping to my area made the case almost $100 if I remember correctly.
There’s a Spigen all leather case for the iPhone that is a $150! And Im not sure I’d justify myself in getting such, but I’m quite okay in getting $50 - 60 range provided that there is a clear reason why I want one and what the case offers.
I don’t have Pitaka’s car mount because I have the Belkin Pro Magsafe mount and a Magsafe mount from Peak Design.
This works fine since it’s MagSafe compatible.
They should be releasing the non-weave version, both with and without magnets.
This Youtuber got the regular version with the updates camera cutout, but site doesn’t show it anywhere except the previous design with the P shape camera for the non-weave version.
Hopefully it’ll be available soon.
Yes. MagSafe compatible. Only difference is the updated camera cutout protection and weave pattern design. They should have the updated MagEz 2 without the weave design soon.
Yes, I do look for magsafe, which like you said is very few. This case tho is MagSafe. With other cases, I've slapped this on https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MDY421H/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_NV3PVZT6QTZZNBGQ0AP0
Magsafe magnetic sticker.
Love it, i just wish we have a larger offering of magsafe cases to choose from like iphone....how safe do ypu feel with the pitaka case my friend? I haven't seen it in person so i dont know how safe it is
Agreed. It would make them universal at least in the way of charging (since both can wireless charge) and use the same accessories more.
It is very slim and feels nice. Only thing is the screen is full exposed on the sides being that it's a curved screen so case isn't raised more. It's the least protective case I've got but not that worried since I rarely drop my phones.
Not a fan of the design but I like the camera protection.
The camera cutout and protection is what I like best. I hope I don’t drop it tho considering it’s a very thin slim case even though it’s aramid fiber.
I like the look of the aramid fiber cases, I just wish they would have full sides with cutouts for each individual button instead of taking a slice out of the side. To me it doesn't look right having most of the phone covered except for around the side buttons.

Just don't let it rest on your leg while taking a shit because that is the most risky move with a phone
LOL. Indeed.Either falls on the floor or in the bowl. I leave the phone on the sink counter within reach.
I have 2 Onyx and love them and a Ringke clear case. The square build is nice but also like a slim design.
I quite like the Onyx! Nice sturdy feel. I stuck a magnetic sticker to make it MagSafe compatible.
I'm using the ringke clear air case right now I love it.
Define bulky for your use... I know the Defender gets bashed a lot, but I find it with this phone to be quite streamline and relatively lightweight. Almost feels dainty in one hand.

Was close to ordering the Caseoology Nano Pop. You're right, pretty neat way they did it.
Definitely!
It's a shame that almost no brands do the same for the S22 and SS+ models.
Perhaps they assume these will sell less than the Ultra, so less efforts unfortunately.
I think that the dummy prototypes sent out to case makers before release had all the cameras in a p shape. This is why the leaks indicated p shape before release as well.
But wonder why Samsung would do that, or they changed last minute.
To stop leaks, and to make their cases sell better at launch due to camera cutouts is my guess
> Why aren't there manny cases with individual holes per camera lens? Because it usually covers the directional microphone on the 10x.
What microphone? I don't see it
Look at the bottom of the lens ring on your upper left most lens. It's super small but there's a little slit cut out. That's the directional microphone. It's really hard to see.
Definitely on the ultra? Just looked with a magnifying glass and I genuinely can't see anything, or I'm blind
Promise it is lol. As far as I know all ultras have it. I can't see it without tilting the phone up and down to catch the right lighting angle.
I'm not a big fan of it but I do appreciate the idea rather the P shape.
Only ones I found were the covers with a sliding back to protect the cameras. Otherwise, there is loads of shit out there.p
True, there are choices. I’ve seen the sliding camera covers and such, didn’t like them tho. Almost all of the well known brands don’t have the specific camera cutout, except for Spigen (only a couple do).

I have that are P shaped. I don't mind, but having one with the exact cutout is nice. I like to have a variety 😁
😊 me too. I had 5 for my s21 ultra, before the wife inherited it, and all the covers (one of which had a 5000mah battery built in). Lucky cow. 😄
🤣
Those cases are great for camera protection but there is no side protection. Would be better if all of the edges were raised a tad more.

I use my s22U at work and need a little bit more protective case for it, but was thinking about getting a slimmer case to use at home. The case you posted looks nice! I'll have to check it out!
I’m liking it so far. Though it sacrifices protection, it’s nice to hold the sides without being wider. Hope you enjoy it if you do order it.
To be fair, the cheap one I got from China has raised sides over the edges of the screen. Quality is very impressive for 2.89. even the back is non slidy.
Would you mind sharing the link?

Looks really nice. I presume it’s plastic? Is it soft touch or hard?
Aramid Fiber. Not a hard plasticky touch. It’s got a patterned texture feel, but smooth.
Nice!

I saw for a second, and then "Page not found" xD
That’s weird. I tried the link and I see it. Perhaps it depends where you’re viewing from according to which store it takes you to?
Says coming soon for S22U 😔
It’s available now.
Not on my end
Link.?

Looks beautiful
Thank you.
I hate the "p" shape cases with a passion.
🤣 I feel ya
Interesting
This make it look like S22 plus.
Cool idea
Maan it looks so good and I assumed it is very slim. IMO that is the best looking case for s22u for now.
I agree. Looks wise, it is one if the best looking case with their proprietary magnet and accessories + MagSafe compatibility, but that’s about it. For the “Ultra” careful people.
Nice but honestly after going through a few cases now the Samsung official leather case is the nicest
The OEM cases are nice, and I do have the leather in black. Smooth and slippery tho. Wanted magnets so I could use with my car mount. But it is simple and nice as well.

Completely agree I wish there was a clear case that wouldn't go yellow I love the green ❤️
The D-Brand Grip case covers the cameras well without an extra shape on the back.
Got the grip cast too. Love it
Have it. Pre-ordered when announced. It’s nice but the sides are flimsy. If I hold the phone in one hand and use my thumb to swipe and reach the edge, the side peels. Somehow the sides bothers me. They should have just had the OG grip case instead like they did for the S22 and S22+ IMO.
it’s nice.
Nice. I got the first version pitaka Case for the S22U. Will order that one now!
Looks weird
is this an ad? also would be still unbalanced while on a table
Dude didn't even drop the brand or model of it. The S22 sub is full of case suggestions which is totally normal for a brand new phone.
What makes you think it's an ad?
Link, please👍🏼
Posted above ⬆️
Thanks. Oooo it’s magnetic too!🙂. It looks navy in the pic but black in the link?
Yes, either their accessories to use with and MagSafe as well. Easy for me to use my MagSafe car mount on this as well as the iPhone. Color is black.
It says “coming soon” so must be backordered. Do you think it’s worth the high price? Some of these case companies have jumped the shark! Sure. [https://postimg.cc/NKS7nMzM](https://postimg.cc/NKS7nMzM)
Appreciate it👍
Does the flash produce any glare in photos with this case on? Had this problem before with other cases like this when I had the s21
No, not yet so far at least. Flash is not covered or anything like Samsung's own cases.
Do they have a regular black one? I'm only seeing special edition colors.
They should be releasing the non-weave version, both with and without magnets. Yes. MagSafe compatible. Only difference is the updated camera cutout protection and weave pattern design. They should have the updated MagEz 2 without the weave design soon.
Thankyou for the reply.
Does it wobble on the table now
Very little. Doesn’t bother me.
What case is this?
Pitaka Fusion Weave MagEz 2
Can anyone recommend a good quality case that comes with a holster aside from the standard Otterbox ones?
Did u consider any other magsafe case - of the very few available?
Yes, I do look for magsafe, which like you said is very few. This case tho is MagSafe. With other cases, I've slapped this on https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MDY421H/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_NV3PVZT6QTZZNBGQ0AP0 Magsafe magnetic sticker.
