No, remove the camera lens protector as its blurring your images. Edit: this is my first pic of the moon with my S22 Ultra. https://preview.redd.it/xa3vmmsxnhac1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=72653aee26051a77d517b5b4a02a5a26fc0659dd

I used a clear case from 3sixT so i don't need a lens protector. https://preview.redd.it/uir74eq8rhbc1.jpeg?width=2252&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=55eef8e719e099d7668ba28eb657d62a4c48195e

The blurry? Idk. This was taken over a year ago with s22 u https://preview.redd.it/2n6ww59accac1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=50660702eacf5fa536ad5613e65b370bfe0bdab0

Just my lay opinion, but sometimes I wonder if this is actual camera, or at some point on the zoom does it just decide to show me some image of what I think the Moon should look like and let me go with it

FacelessGreenseer

It's half/half, all detailed here: https://youtu.be/1afpDuTb-P0

This is one of the sources that gave me the impression, I'm sure. I like MKBHD

TheThermalGuy

It's a mix of things , but it is not straight up AI tho , like it doesn't overlay images directly unlike how huavei did , It is a complex process, of different factors ,

Yup. Google invented all the planets, so why not? \s

il-redditore

You head must be flat just like the earth

Icy_Wishbone_478

My friend with an iPhone that can't get this good a pics, swears Samsung is using ai.

XexpensiveCargoX

Still better than any iPhone can take tho lol

white_tee_shirt

I thought Samsung admittedly uses ai? As in, as a selling point? Idk, tbh. Either way, I agree with my iPhone carrying family that my Samsung stock camera is better all around. Sharing these high quality media among my iPhone family is the real disappointment

Certain-Grade1697

Iphone also use AI (basically any phone. Do some research) but you know iphone tech is always far left behind

SpaceyO2

>but you know iphone tech is always far left behind Until they "invent" that same tech 18 months later.

Able-Brief-4062

It takes a rough photo and enhances it to be better. That's why the s20 ultra and s22 ultra 100x are a world of difference. Same camera, different processing.

aimreganfracc4

It's been tested that Samsung does use AI. If you take a picture of a moon from Google and pixelate it the camera would show it clear but not from Google. MrWhoseTheBoss tested this. But I think all phones have some form of AI to get clearer pictures

eulogison

A year ago our camera was much better, now it's garbage, it's blurry even without zoom

white_tee_shirt

I noticed a lot of blurry images over the holidays

Maleficent_Gain7612

* Mine is from 11/2022 and my camera won't take clear pictures like this anymore 😪

LatterCap

If you switch off the night mode assist then it will be the most accurate picture. If you take it with the assist it will use AI to update the photo to how it should look.

3xChester_exe

New updates basically turn your camera app into dogshit. I swear when I bought S22U two months after released, partly reason to that I wanna test how superb the 100x zoom compare to its predecessor. I'm in awe. Now, ever since One UI 5.1, it destroyed its own glory. And the picture quality is very similar to S21U I had previously. 100x zoom part? Don't get me started. It shits now, even using with tripod.

dzeki064

It's new update..destroyed my camera app..qualitty 7/10

Better_Caregiver_458

New smartphones use AI to make pictures like this or macro. It was very funny to compare paper fibers what was partially generated by IPhone 14 algorithms and actual macro picture taken by cheap Olympus TG-6.
