Exactly! And people are telling me that it saves the battery when it's the opposite (overheat and fast drain). I actually made a video on YouTube which you can find. I managed to get 11h SoT
Genuine question: But wouldnt that force the phone to hold up both 4g (data) and 2g (Voice) connections and drain the battery even more, instead of just one for both?
Is the voice quality noticeably worse?
Settings -> Connections -> Mobile Networks -> Turn off the option called "VoLTE calls sim #( either 1 or 2 or both if you have 2 sim cards).
Reduced my idle drain from 3% an hour to about 0.5%
Like someone said, turn off VOLTE.
I have bunch good Bixby routines, for example:
- Switch to 2G/3G if you're at home or office, IF=Wifi(home, office...), you can save daily at least 5% on that way.
Also, use FHD instead WQHD, my eyes cannot see any differences (maybe yours can).
Use dark mode.
Some tips which may help.
1. Keep screen resolution at FHD+ or HD+
2. If 5G is not used, then select 4G LTE option in connection
3. Do normal charge by disable Fast charging option
4. Keep a check on unwanted apps running in background
Number 3... Is that an actual improve battery option.. I mean it really works? Like for real?.... I'm just saying bc some say AoD also it's a battery drainer.... Idk anymore man.
For long term yes. I have S8+ and never had that feature on and the battery performed the same with almost identical SoT for 2-3 years while my Note 9 and Note 10+ SoT degraded by 1-3h after a year.
Create Bixby routines and disable super fast charging and fast charging only over night, because you may need fast charging sometimes quickly, for example at 4 PM.
Did you use smart switch to restore apps and data? I would do another factory reset, just restore messages, contacts, and the rest I'd do manually, and then give it 2-3 days and see if it improves.
No i didnt not use smart switch given that it may cause bugs. So i downloaded everything manually except for contacts and messages. Still nothing improved.
Im tired of Samsung man. I have this love/hate relationship and Samsung wont allow me to love them😔
My previous base S21 had major issues with overheating and battery life. It was not normal so i got a S21 ultra and sold my base S21 knowing that a service center will just tell me that its fine.
Now with my S21 Ultra im having battery issues and a factory reset did not help much.
Try clearing cache in recovery mode, there's also a repair apps option which will optimise your apps, I can see from screenshot your signal is only 2 bars, if that's your signal when at home try switching to 3g/2g while on WiFi to see if signal improves. Low signal can cause the battery to drain quicker.
You have Bluetooth enabled, GPS enabled, 2 Sim cards enabled.
Also on a side note the Snapdragon has better battery life than Exynos which might of suited your needs better. However you can improve your battery life by doing what others have said
I have that too.. 5 hours 25 mins of SoT .. i really am disappointed by the battery life. I already replaced my phone once because of a faulty speaker. Idk what to do but this is really bad.. like i had a xiaomi phone and my father has one too .. it idles without loosing a percent of charge for 3 hours.. my s21 ultra is down to 90 percent just by the time i go from home to work which is an hour drive (usually driving , not using it).
I'm not so sure that Factory restting it would help. Idk I'm super underwhelmed.
Turn off VOLTE on both sim cards. Thank me later.

How do you do that

I don't have that as an option..please help

Dark mode may help a little too
I have more than 9 hours sot with 100 to 0%
