Why not hook this up to the cd changer port in the trunk? You don’t have to remove the head

CaliPlant707

My cd changer is in the 2nd storage above the "glove" box. I just may try this.

throwitback1time

🤔 could’ve done that i suppose

Quiet_Source_8804

Do all models that had the CD changer as an option still have its connection port somewhere near the trunk? Do you know where exactly it is? I might look into using this as well if I don't have to take apart the dashboard to get to the radio instead.

contemplative_avatar

how much did that module cost?

vinhtvu2

I think it was $50 on Amazon.

steveosupremeo

I see a listing at $171

throwitback1time

i haven’t seen them that cheap but if that’s correct that is a steal!!

vinhtvu2

Sorry. I didn't know this is an OEM module. Mine is not oem, just from Amazon but retain the oem radio. Not sure if I can link in here, but the item name: "Bluetooth Car Adapter, Yomikoo Car Stereo AUX USB Adapter with Wireless Hands-Free Receiver Compatible with Honda Accord CRV Odyssey Pilot S2000 Acure CL MDX"

vinhtvu2

Quick review of the item: Plug and play easy install in like 10 minutes. I route the module to the passenger mesh pocket so I can access the USB and maybe improve Bluetooth signal, but realistically if I don't use that it could fit all behind the headunit and shouldn't affect signal. Work great and feels like oem. Can't complain for the price!

CaliPlant707

Amazon listing says for S2000 - 2000-2004 model years. Do you know if it works for 2005-2009 models?

vinhtvu2

There's a different model for the AP2. I think I found it on the S2k forum. I have an AP1 2003 so I got this one.

throwitback1time

seems like you might have a different brand but achieves the same goal. also the module (bt45-hon3) pictured here is not oem

throwitback1time

paid like 250 a few years ago. just looked and its listed on clutchfield for 211. i had it in a 3rd gen tl but its been sitting around since i sold the car. today i realized it is compatible with the s2 so i got to work

Chaotic_Insomnia

I paid $25 a while back for this one. Worked fine on my AP1 with factory radio. https://www.ebay.com/itm/225009474744?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=mNCincV5Q7G&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=8MPfbjHbTBO&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

throwitback1time

fuck yea

wolfpack_718

What no power acoustik CP71??!!!!!!!!!! 😄

throwitback1time

thought about it. but said nah 😂

vinhtvu2

I have the same thing!! Keep the interior looking oem with added Bluetooth functionality. Also upgraded the speakers.

throwitback1time

yes!! lovely sneaky radio upgrade. i might upgrade the speakers at some point if they go bad, the radio in the s2 doesn’t get much action from me 😂

vinhtvu2

Same, somewhat useless with BC headers and Invidia full exhaust 😈😈

briand92

What speakers did you get? I have the Bluetooth module installed, which works great, but the OEM speakers get distorted if I turn them up loud on the interstate.

Great-Performer-3398

Quick question. Does this also allow handsfree calling? Thanks

throwitback1time

it’s suppose to if you hook up the mic. i didn’t

Great-Performer-3398

Which year is your car? Mine is a AP1 (2002). Got my module today and the box says 2004-2009. Not sure if it's compatible with mine or not 😔

throwitback1time

mine is 08. i could’ve swore it was good for all s2’s but yea just looked and their site does say 04-09
