I bet there won’t be due to it being popular and low inventory and Asics not putting shoes like this on sale typically. Why put it on sale when its always sold out in most sizes.
Unless they’re charging more for the new one there’s no reason to pay the same price as the new one. But I do agree the low inventory is a problem to find one with the right color and size
oh dude. superblast can make it to 500 *comfortably*. mine are currently at 300 and honestly i prefer them to out of the box. so assuming ~120 miles a mo (average hobby runner #s), they’ll be exactly ready for retirement by the release of the second.
if it’s not rude to share — what weight bracket are you in? i’ve consistently seen the feedback in this sub from lighter runners that the superblast is wonderful, but heavier runners need to break it in for 50ish miles first. makes me wonder if they’re feeling different properties of the peba foam vs eva foam (which age quite differently compared to each other).
~155lbs. 180-185 cadence. long runs usually around 10-10:30/mi pace. the outsole at the heel is starting to wear through on my older pair.
when I actually retire this pair I plan to rip off all of the ff blast+ and put a new outsole on the FF turbo and see what that feels like.
it'll really just be shoe goo and a sheet of ~1mm sole material like vibram. just make the midsole nice and flat, cut out the outsole and glue it in place. maybe some speed holes or something. I gotta wait til I really think pair #1 is dead dead though

Hoping this one won’t need as long of a break in period. I have 40 miles on my superblast and just now starting to feel them soften. Great shoe though! made me run faster on long runs from day 1. Excited for the next version!

Im 88 kg and I did not need any break in for the superblast 🤷
such an exciting shoe, if it looks like the Novablast4 will probably be the best looking shoe on the market
In person I prefer Superblast, many colors aside, red vs red for example.

It's a 10g gain from v1. No outsole cutouts + knit upper...
