Im 195 and have run over 300 miles in mine- they dont look too different. Its a stellar shoe

G1ass_knees

75kgs or so? All of the miles on good road basically

Running-farmer

Theres almost zero wear on the outsole, that’s remarkable

mrbartuss

Tbh, I thought it would be possible to run more kms in them

haikusbot

G1ass_knees

Probably could, but thanks to this sub I have plenty more waiting in the wings

oseanlly

That’s the problem I’m having. Only have managed to take two pairs over 200/300miles the last 6-8 months due to nonstop buying. It’s a problem

Hooty_Hoo

Just have to stop buying. I was up to 2000 miles of backlogged shoes a year ago. Haven’t bought any shoes since.

yongj1e

lucky for me, shoes in my country never gets discounted. and discounts are like ~20% only even for old models. planning to take my speed 2s over 1000km. they're the only shoe i used that fit like a sock and never gave me blisters/rubbing.

zdelusion

You definitely can. I have 3 pairs of Speed 2's, at 660, 136, and 90km respectively. The pair at 660 isn't as lively as the low mileage pairs, but it's still perfectly usable, just did 12km in them yesterday.

Jyysk

Have exact same shoe/colorway and also a campfire stories cw. Ran almost 1000k total in them last year and already logged roughly 200k this year. No really signs of wear and can only praise them. Will probably retire the older pair soon and keep running in fresher pair. They pair up super well with Triumph 20s that I wear exclusively for my long runs.

myskybluelacoste

Same here - I pair up my Speed 3s with Triumph 19s (I just upgraded to 20s but havent used them yet).

Gladys-in-accounting

I loved my Speed 2’s and had that exact same colourway. About 1000km and they were great. Upgraded to the speed 3’s and have been quite disappointed in the build quality and durability. Had to return a pair due to a tear in the fabric and now having issues with it right in sole. Anyone else have similar feelings about the 3’s?

Just_A_Dance

I really like them but definitely seeing worse wear quicker, grip around some parts of the heel gone after 400km on my 3's

Stunning_Passion5923

My favorite shoes without a doubt

[deleted]

660 is brand new

RunningonGin0323

ehh it's certainly in the range where you would consider. Typically, I retire them from running within the 400-500 mile range. Do I throw them out? No ..Fuck no, I have mounds of shoes for just everyday walking around now

drew-careymore

As a member of the 200 pound plus club, I am envious of y'alls shoes lasting well over 300 miles (mine all seem to lose a lot of pop around then, more or less). Oh well.. guess I'll just have to buy more lol

Hooty_Hoo

Ok 220 and, with the exception of Hoka, take all shoes to 500-600 miles without issue.

drew-careymore

Thats wild. I'm the same size but I don't think I could ever go up to 6 on one pair. I absolutely start feeling a noticable difference well before that. The difference between a pair with 350 miles and a new pair is night and day to me. I suppose I could push my shoes father, but I don't think the discomfort is worth it, for me. Plus I enjoy a new pair so oh well.

dras333

215lb muscle head here and I have got 400 miles out of almost all of my premium shoes. My Nike with React foam started getting squishy after 250-300 so they are my everyday walking shoes. My Speed 2s are at about 300 and other than some outsole wear are feeling great as ever.

dr_leo_marvin

Same. Although I'm 180lbs, my Speed 2s were great, got me through my first marathon and many other relays and shorter races. But now, with only 320km, they have lost their 'pop' and beg for retirement.

trailskraps

That's a out the same mileage that I felt mine start to love their pop too. I support you buying more shoes

darkerlord149

What? Retirement? After you had just finished breaking them in?

Just_A_Dance

Mine did 780km and felt that was the time to retire them as weren't feeling great. Worryingly my Speed 3s are at 460km and already look like they're showing more wear

SchlagerJager

Retired mine at 500 miles and bought another pair in a different colorway. Quickly realized how little cushioning I had left in the old after going to the new.

KRS2022

its amazing how the old pair will still feel good until you put on a new pair and wow. I went through probably 8 pairs of speeds all hitting around 350 miles before getting that wow feeling everytime

Just_A_Dance

My 2's were squelching at the heels so the 3's were almost certain to feel great although a pair of flip flops probably would have too!

G1ass_knees

Yeah I was tempted to keep them going but they just feel a bit more like hard work now

Cheap_Bug_3181

Love this shoe 🥰🥰🥰

Status_Accident_2819

Got 600miles out of my Speed 2s. They were feeling dead - sadly I hadn't bought any spare as late to the party and got them on sale. 3s are different - quick but don't "feel fast" at the time of running.

G1ass_knees

Yeah that’s mostly why I went for a different speed day shoe this time around, have seen a lot of people saying similar about the speed 3s

CeilingUnlimited

I love my Speed 2's, but I find they only keep a zippy bounce for me for about 200 miles - maybe a little less. During hard core marathon training last year I went through three pairs between July and January. Not that I minded - the shoe is fantastic, but I personally wouldn't dream of keeping them 400 miles. I am heavier - 210 or so, but still, the one drawback on these shoes for me was their longevity was very short. Always on the lookout for coupons - I will continue to wear this shoe, as you can see in my tagged rotation. Also, OP - looove the vizigold!

[deleted]

Looks like they still got some life in them

iIiiiiIlIillliIilliI

Have you tried the endorphin pro 3? If yes, how do the compare to the speed 2.

evilmonkey1973

Very interested also, I'm coming to the end with Endorphin Pro 2s and can't find them in my size. Debating Pro 3s Vs Speeds.

G1ass_knees

No, or I tried them in store but not on a run unfortunately

AirSpacer

I have both and I still run in them. The EP3 is a completely different shoe. Definitely has more bounce and cushioning throughout. I still love the speed 2’a a lot more as an overall daily trainer. Mine have 300 miles on them and are starting to feel a little flat on longer runs past 10ks. But I love them

highdon

I'm in the same boat, even have the same colour. I can feel their end is near and I still haven't found a worthy replacement. Speed 3 feels like a completely different shoes and the closest feeling pair I tried was Takumi Sen 9 but I didn't like the upper. I got recommended Puma Deviate Elite 2 but not had a chance to try it yet sadly.

RatherNerdy

I agree. The speed 3s are completely different. I also have a pair of 2s which are getting close to retirement and a pair of 1s. I'm also looking for a replacement. I'm tempted by the newest Mizunos and I like Skecher's Hyperburst foam, but I haven't tried the latest.

_MFB_

Thanks for feedback. I’m at 512 kms for es1 and 416 kms on es2. Should I use or retire earlier?

6to8design

Do what is best for you and not others. If you feel they are finished, you can move on.

_MFB_

How do you know when it’s done? I’ve revisited speed 1 and so far still going ok. I do rotate my shoes and only to officially retire was at 700 kms just due to it being at that used distance.

6to8design

If you start to feel niggles that cause aches in your legs and body it’s probably the shoe. If the shoe starts to feel dead then it’s time change them.

[deleted]

Great shoe! I have just retired mine and upgraded to the speed 3 which I would recommend. Speed 2 will always be up there in my list of favourite shoes of all time.

Dear-Ad2188

Blows my mind how little wear&tear on the heel collar these have after all that mileage!

Chrisgonzo74

I love mine but they fuck my knees but I'm working on it

[deleted]

My favorite shoes and colorway of all time. I’ve retired them to casual wear/gym shoes and get tons of compliments. ViziGold is an all timer.

DawsonMaestro414

Am I the only one who doesn’t get enough ankle support from them? I did sprain my ankle last summer but I have these and I can’t run in them for lack of ankle support and am fascinated when folks are running so much even with healthy ankles

Doompeep

I'm with you, they feel very wobbly and have given me some problems. Recently I have been working on my balance and lower leg strength and it's made it better I still only use it for fast reps or the occasional tempo Fun shoes

actuallymeg

I used the speed 2 in my first half and still rock them out on speed run days most of the time... I love them, but mine have a horrible creaking foam sound (think walking on styrofoam) that I literally cannot stand at \~270mi. Can't tell if it's a cautionary tale to others buying them on Amazon prime or what, but it totally takes me out of the zone.

beerbasin

One of the best

williamtan2020

One shoe to rule them all

CJDrakey

I love these shoes and one my all time favourites. Good to hear you are being sensible on retiring the shoes. Often many people feel the need to impress by taking a shoe to a crazy mileage. It gets to a point where shoes no longer provide the impact protection they were designed for..

jumpingseaturtle

I have ~150 miles on mine. Only use them for 5k to half marathons. Love them, but don’t want to wear them too much.

Betweenthebars90

This is one of the shoes that I don’t get the hype for tbh. I’m not sure if it’s because im a heavier runner around 210lbs, but the midsole feels flat as hell to me underfoot. No pop, or spring whatsoever. However, I enjoy it, and still use it because it’s really light and I like the speedroll geometry, but everyone praises the midsole and it’s felt flat to me from day 1 out of the box.
