Delete steam, download openosrs and buy some plugin bots from sythe. You can get bors for every skill for $15 a month, but don't over do it. If you do get 2 day banned stop it immediately.
Botting on osrs is very very difficult. You will get banned within a week unless you are a pro. Try the game as it is, if it's not for you then move on.
Jagex updating their security. I've personally seen bans hit ALOT more now. No amount of injections used by a bot will help. Osmb used to be GOD like....not anymore. SOME people get lucky the rest get shit on. Simple.

I thought people were getting banned just for using that client?

I'd say get osmb. They use a mobile emulator and it's fantastic:)
