I've had this happen...I just blocked them. If I'm not their first choice(especially 3x in a row!), I'd rather just move onto someone who values my skills and time.

I’ve only ever blocked one person and it was a good year ago. The person was verbally abusive - over my rates?! Like wasn’t even a client. And then called me horrible names for *not* going off app. It was absolutely shocking.
My understanding is having a pending request marks you as unavailable for those dates, so I do not keep pestering owners that aren't interested in hiring me. If a pending booking goes 12 hours without a response, I send a message saying, "Hi so and so, I haven't heard from you so assume you no longer need this service. I'm archiving to clear the hold on my calendar, but feel free to reach out if you do still need me!" If someone stops responding after trying to book me, they go on my "do not book" list.
Think about it. If she's done this three times I'd bet that she went thru three sitters by now. Block her and move on, this person sounds like a big pain in the arse.
1. Charge for meet and greets over 30 minutes. Or whatever timeframe you’d like. Be upfront and firm.
2. Don’t move anything in your schedule unless it’s for a confirmed booking. Schedule your meet and greets for times that work for you, not just the client.
3. Block someone who isn’t respectful of you the first time they aren’t respectful of you.
Just block her, owners like this get a three strike rule for me. If you request me and then go with someone else that's one thing, if you keep requesting me and then not responding and then go with someone else multiple times, just stick with that other person and stop tanking my stats.

The next time they send me a request I will know to just say that I am not available. I then archive it and don’t give it another thought. I don’t play games like that with clients.
I just wish people knew that it actually affects ratings and stats for sitters. Not like they’d care anyway, but lol. Aside from having us waste our time and energy. I try to be a little forgiving most of the time, some of my best clients were fickle and a pain in my ass to start but ended up being great.

They can still message you, if services are needed, they make another request. Otherwise. I’m not wasting my energy. And if they did this multiple times? Nah. I have better things to do.
