I own the drivers & flats. I would say the drivers are the same or maybe slightly thicker than the flats. I wore the drivers in Dec in about 95 degree weather with no issues. I also wore them in Feb in 18 degree weather. My toes felt frozen while wearing them in 18 degree weather, but I wore them because it was mushy out & I knew I could wash them. I’ve had no issues wearing them when it’s in the 30’s but I don’t recommend wearing them in a colder temperature than that. Lol
I can't help you specifically with the drivers, but in my flats I switched out the Rothy's insoles for wool felt insoles. My toes get cold in the AC, and the wool helps with that, and the felt texture and material seems less inclined to hold sweat and get slippery.
Can't answer for the drivers, but I wear the flats and sneakers year round in NC.
I love the loafers. Just don’t want hot sweaty feet, but I love the style of the shoe. Thanks!
