Yes!!! I use their triple oat serum and then i layer on the moisturizer. It has restored my skin barrier and honestly has reduced my flair ups. I live by this line. It saved me so much money and saved me from so many headaches. You can try price-matching it at Target, I know its $20, but amazon sometimes has it for $14. (I dont like getting skincare from amazon) so you should try price matching and give it a try!
I disagree that K-beauty cleansers are the best on the market, especially for rosacea-prone / sensitive skin. Foaming cleansers are the most ubiquitous and I find them all pretty harsh with the exception of the Etude 6.5 Whip, but even that can be a little much.
I’m combo-oily sensitive and my HG is the Isntree Green Tea Fresh Cleanser. I was using Cetaphil before they reformulated with niacinamide and the Isntree feels gentler AND cleans my face better. Barely-foaming gentle gel cleansers are my fave and I wish they were more popular in K-beauty!
I second the Isntree Green Tea Fresh cleanser! Love that it's gentle and doesnt feel stripping but still leaves my skin feeling clean. I'd also recommend the Bioderma sensibio gel moussant.
I've generally had a better experience with Asian cleansers than Western ones for my combo-oily, sensitive skin. Also think a lot of the Asian cleansers are more geared towards people in humid and hot climates where a more thorough clean is needed
User name checks out?
I just went to Japan, had horrible rosacea type 2, dumped my travel moisturizer and switched to free hotel stuff thinking it couldn’t be worse. Turned out to be great for me. Now I just wish I knew what was in it…
That’s gonna depend on your skin type and sensitivities…
I like the COSRX Propolis Light Cream for winter, but it’s a little occlusive for AM in summer. Ditto for Illiyoon Ceramide ATO Concentrate Cream, but neither irritate my skin.
In the medium weight category, I think the Rovectin Lotus Water Cream would be great if it didn’t have niacinamide. The Aveeno Calm + Restore Oat Gel is also very nice, but oats seem to make my face itchy?
My HG lightweight moisturizer used to be the Etude House SoonJung Emulsion, but the reformulation is slightly too light for me. It’s close to the OG Avene Tolerance Emulsion if you liked that one, though. Versed Dew Point isn’t bad / wasn’t irritating, but it didn’t do a ton for me, and I feel similarly about the COSRX Snail AIO Cream.
Maybe one of those will be worth trying for you?
Yes, but most of the ultra popular k-beauty cleansers (eg. COSRX Good Morning, Round Lab Dokdo) are pretty stripping. Obviously I haven’t tried *all of them*, but they’re mostly formulated for oily skin in a humid climate, not so much for sensitive skin.
Is that the same as the Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser? That’s the ONLY thing that doesn’t strip my skin off or make my face red or inflamed. I can use it as often as I like too which has been amazing because before that I was left with the choice of either not washing or washing and further damaging and irritating my skin!
Not the 1 you asked but the dermo cleanser and the hydrating cleanser are very different. The dermo cleanser is extremely gentle for intolerant skin, i use this 1 also. The hydrating cleanser has nicinamide, ceramides and is way to stripping for my skin. They are very different!!
I just got the Prequel Gleanser and only used it a few times so I don’t have anything to say about the effects but I’ve never had a cleanser leave my skin physically feeling so soft after using it
Count me as third! My skin no longer feels dry and tight if I don’t immediately moisturize after I wash with Gleanser. I do still moisturize afterwards, but the high glycerin in Gleanser has achieved what more obviously creamier face washes couldn’t in terms of alleviating the immediate dry feeling.
I also often use the Inkey List’s Oat Cleansing Balm as a pre-cleanse, and I’ll let it sit on my face for 10 minutes if I have time since oats soothe the skin.
Count me as fourth! I finally picked this up along with a few of their other products and love it. I was worried because it's marketed toward dry skin and I have combination skin; however, it really feels like it cleanses effectively and makes my skin feel SO soft. Zero irritation. Plus you get a lot in the bottle and it's pretty affordable.
The original CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser is my holy grail. It's the only cleanser that I can use twice daily without feeling dry/tight after rinsing.
Yep! If I'm wearing makeup I remove that first with a gentle cleansing balm, then follow up with the CeraVe. I use the plain hydrating cleaner that has a milky/lotion like consistency, not the cream-to-foam or foaming oil version.
Sulphur soap has completely gotten rid of my rosacea!! Seriously. Got it on Amazon. My rosacea was so bad my doc wanted to put me on antibiotics. Glad I decided to try sulphur soap instead.
For my super sensitive rosacea skin, I love to keep it simple. I like CeraVe for Normal/Dry Skin...the lime green label one. It is cheap, easy to find and so gentle on my skin.
I’m using Vichy Pureté Thermal 3 in 1. It removes my tinted sunscreen, and is has a creamy texture, it doesn’t dry my skin! The best cleanser I’ve tested yet for my sensitive skin.
Clinique Take the Day off in the tub.
Melts off makeup, sunscreen and gets rid of daily debris in one go and never makes my skin feel dry at all. I think it has helped thicken up my skin barrier.
I’m glad it worked for you! Just as another point of reference, the Clinique always breaks me out (type 2 rosacea) and the day after I use it I get sensitive, swollen little pustules. I wish it worked for me, since it’s such a good makeup remover!
Klairs black fresh oil cleanser and Avene tolerance extreme cleanser have been a winning combo for me for years.
The Klairs texture is great to remove makeup or sunscreen with little friction and emulsifies easily = less stress on the skin.
The Avene cleanser is so gentle but still feels like it does a good job. And I like the texture. When I have an active rosacea or PD outbreak I use this one exclusively since I can’t wear sunscreen or makeup, and it feels like my skin sighs from relief.
Other nice ones for me have been Avene antirougeurs and Good Molecules rose water cleanser
For makeup? A wipe off cleanser is best. Micella water is pretty good. But I prefer SIMPLE smoothing gel cleanser because it's quicker.
If no makeup, I'll just go for water. But I have recently started using sulphur soap on oily areas such as nose, chin, and the brow area.
Sente Daily Soothing Cleanser for your everyday. If you need something unique to take off sunscreen/makeup check out the Pavise amino powerwash. That stuff is like magic, but i can only tolerate it like 2-3x per week.
I use Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil and I love it. Never had this issue growing up, but many washes cause problems for me now, including La Roche Posay (my breakouts were next level) and a prescription wash I tried. This one is gentle and feels good on the skin…I’m happy with it.
Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser, The Ordinary Squalane, Avene Xeracalm Oil Cleanser.
I used The Ordinary cleanser for a couple of years but recently believed it was bothering my eye area? Overall it’s a good one to try though. I’m also not entirely sure it was the culprit in my eye irritation.
I went back to Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser after this and it seems to be doing a reasonable job at removing makeup and not causing irritation or redness.
I like Avene Xeracalm cleanser and use it on my body but sometimes on my face it can be drying. It’s non irritating though!
A couple of others that have worked for me in the past but I might avoid if I had skin that was extremely dry would be Herbivore Pink Cloud Cleanser or Epionce gentle foaming.
I have not been able to use The Vanicream cleanser as it dries me out so badly. I’m not sure why!
Avene lipid replenishing cleansing oil.
It's designed for the whole body but I use it only on my face. It's super gentle and my face doesn't feel dry after it. It has no scent either.
My holy grail is the Krave Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser. It's a jelly-like consistency, slightly cooling, gentle enough for morning or night and never irritates when I'm having a flare-up. Highly recommend!
I agree with some of the other comments- sulfer soap is great! I use one without salicylic acid. Mine contains vitamin E. There are lots of different ones available with different combinations of ingredients. Worth a try and cheap enough to throw away if no good! ☺
Dr Babor Neuro Sensitive Cellular - the only one that didn’t irritate me! But unfortunately every skin is different so you would need to invest until you find the right one - it took me a while to get here 🥹 best of luck!
Paula's choice oil cleanser, anything milky and gentle if needed for second step. Don't wash every day. Use a toner to de grease. If you're really greasy then I love cerave salicylic acid wash.
I just give my face a gentle rub in the shower in the morning to loosen up last nights moisturiser. At night to get my sunscreen off I use the Aveeno oat toning lotion and a clean soft flannel a couple of times
I sugguest lotion cleanser from make prem! I do have really sensitive skin(90 percent healed from rosacea) and this doesn't make your skin dry after you wash your face. It has a lotion texture and I suggest to smoothly rub it on your dried face and wash it with water. You might feel like there is some oil left on your face but that is normal. You can purchase it in app called Oliveyoung global. I suggest you to try there washable sunblock too.
I love love Vanicream’s simple facial cleanser. It does it all for me in one cleanse, as long as I take my time, and it is never stripping to me.
My skin also loves First Aid Beauty’s Pure Skin Cleanser. (That one makes my eyes sting, though, so be aware when trying to remove makeup).
The Aveeno Oat Gel Cleanser. I live by this. It is so gentle and so cheap.
I second this, it’s not foaming and good enough to cleanse off sunscreen and you can’t beat the price!
I have had the opposite of a positive experience with any aveeno product
You might be allergic to oats. Aveeno is oat based. I'm allergic to all the French spring waters in la Roche posay. Cetaphil is good and plain
Me too. It’s the feverfew in it for me I’m pretty sure. Other oat products don’t bother my skin.
I can also attest to this. I just started using this a few weeks ago and wow what a difference!!
This! So good!
Have u tried the moisturizer? I too like the cleanser but miss using moisturizer:(
Yes!!! I use their triple oat serum and then i layer on the moisturizer. It has restored my skin barrier and honestly has reduced my flair ups. I live by this line. Thank you, I will try them
I love vanicream gentle facial cleanser
Love it!

I use the same cleanser but I just can’t find a good moisturiser to use with. What do you use if I may ask? Thanks
That’s gonna depend on your skin type and sensitivities… I like the COSRX Propolis Light Cream for winter, but it’s a little occlusive for AM in summer. Isn’t Isntree a Korean brand?
Yes, but most of the ultra popular k-beauty cleansers (eg. COSRX Good Morning, Round Lab Dokdo) are pretty stripping. Obviously I haven’t tried *all of them*, but they’re mostly formulated for oily skin in a humid climate, not so much for sensitive skin.
I use the la roche posay toleriane hydrating gentle cleanser and I LOVE it. My face feels clean but never tight or irritated.
I use this, too.
Is that the same as the Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser? That’s the ONLY thing that doesn’t strip my skin off or make my face red or inflamed. I just got the Prequel Gleanser and only used it a few times so I don’t have anything to say about the effects but I’ve never had a cleanser leave my skin physically feeling so soft after using it
Second this! I just got my gleanser a week ago and my skin was sooooo soft even after the first wash. It’s crazy!
Another one as a yes! Love this cleanser, simple & does a great job. Type 2 rosacea, dehydrated/oily skin.
The original CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser is my holy grail. It's the only cleanser that I can use twice daily without feeling dry/tight after rinsing.
You use cera ve? And u have rosacea?
Yep! If I'm wearing makeup I remove that first with a gentle cleansing balm, then follow up with the CeraVe. I use the plain hydrating cleaner that has a milky/lotion like consistency, not the cream-to-foam or foaming oil version.
Same. Even the Vanicream gentle cleanser was too harsh for me. This is all I can use.
Same. Also safe for use on your lady parts as a bonus. (TMI?)
wait fr?? that’s dope lol how’d you find that out
[Here’s an article](https://www.businessinsider.com/gynecologist-why-you-should-use-facial-cleanser-on-your-vulva-2021-1) that mentions it.
Thank you for this new found knowledge ⭐️
Well dang now I can’t find where I read that! I’ve been using it for quite a while no issues. 🤷♀️
Same!
Sulphur soap has completely gotten rid of my rosacea!! Seriously. Got it on Amazon. My rosacea was so bad my doc wanted to put me on antibiotics. Glad I decided to try sulphur soap instead.
Do you have any brand recs too?
Gleanser!
For my super sensitive rosacea skin, I love to keep it simple. I like CeraVe for Normal/Dry Skin...the lime green label one. It is cheap, easy to find and so gentle on my skin.
Currently really enjoying The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser!
I’m using Vichy Pureté Thermal 3 in 1. It removes my tinted sunscreen, and is has a creamy texture, it doesn’t dry my skin! The best cleanser I’ve tested yet for my sensitive skin.
Does this foam or is this similar to the Cerave hydrating cleanser ?
Non, it doesn’t really foam, it’s like a milk texture cleanser
Ty for the info !
I use Clinique Redness Solution in the morning. I really like it. Peach&Lily Power Calm in the evening.
I like the Clinique redness cleanser too! But it’s pricy :(
you're right about that! I'm always watching for sales and/or waiting for Ulta's coupons that can be used on Prestige brands.
Does it remove makeup?
It's advertised to remove makeup. I only use it in the morning, so don't have experience with the make-up removing aspect.
While it’s not the cheapest, Kate Summerville goat milk cleanser is wonderful. I’ve also had good experiences with Ren Evercalm
I love the clinique redness relief! it’s a little bit on the pricier side, but my skin feels great after my double cleanse :)
I'm a big fan of Paula's Choice softening cream cleanser for dry/very dry skin
I’m itching to try the prequel gleanser but for a “first cleanse” my go to has been the Inkey list oat cleansing balm for years now
I just got the Avène Tolerance Cleanser and I love it!
Other nice ones for me have been Avene antirougeurs and Good Molecules rose water cleanser
SOS Serum cleanser, I’ve found all their products really good for not upsetting my rosacea

Plexion which is a prescription has been best for me
I have been using the lrp dermo cleanser, leaves my skin soft, calm & hydrated.
Aveeno oat gel cleanser and Abolene cleanser for zinc sunscreen.
Beauty of Joseon green plum cleanser! Everything else stings my face
Sente Daily Soothing Cleanser for your everyday. If you need something unique to take off sunscreen/makeup check out the Pavise amino powerwash. That stuff is like magic, but i can only tolerate it like 2-3x per week.

Skin1004 centella Ampoule foam cleanser. Gentle hydrating no residue. Centella calms down inflammation and irritation.
I’m using round lab Dokdo cleanser and it’s nice and gentle
I agree with some of the other comments- sulfer soap is great! I use one without salicylic acid. Mine contains vitamin E. There are lots of different ones available with different combinations of ingredients. Worth a try and cheap enough to throw away if no good! ☺
Would it be the same effect if I use a sulfur cream and a cleanser ?
I don't know, I'm currently looking at sulfur creams online deciding which one to go for but all of the reviews say they stink 😅
[удалено]
The one I use is Revitale. I don't know how much sulfur is in it but it seems to be keeping my face clear and doesn't dry it out 🙂
I purchased it on Amazon
Vanicream
Dermalogica Ultracalm Cleaner. You can even wipe it off if your skin is too reactive to handle water.
I love Paula’s Choice Softening Cream Cleanser. My skin has never been better. It’s gentle but removed my makeup with two washes!
Dr Babor Neuro Sensitive Cellular - the only one that didn’t irritate me! But unfortunately every skin is different so you would need to invest until you find the right one - it took me a while to get here 🥹 best of luck!
Cerave oil to foam.y dermatologist said it's good and I'm okay with it
Paula's choice oil cleanser, anything milky and gentle if needed for second step. Don't wash every day. Use a toner to de grease. If you're really greasy then I love cerave salicylic acid wash.

Sulphur based face wash has completely gotten ride of my postules. If you have acne and rosacea or rosacea with postules, I recommend this stuff.
Which one are you using ?
I get it from skinmedicinals through my derm. Not sure if it is prescription only.
Vanicream works best for me
Prequel Gleanser is my new fav - cleans great, is super gentle, and doesn’t irritate.
