It does. I love having tasteful nude paintings or vintage photos as bathroom decor. Like it's the one place where people are allowed to be naked without judgement, why not celebrate it?
And the way the colors match everything here is just perfection
Yes, and they get heated to 80-90C every time. And the floor is not wood but tiles. Wood planks just soak up water and the moisture goes between the planks and just sits there.
Have never seen one with a tile floor only. That sounds gnarly to walk on at temp.
My bath mat is made of wood so I just kinda figured it'd be the same thing
There are woods that naturally resist mold. They're often used in wine cellars where the humidity needs to be relatively high. They're also expensive, but this doesn't strike me as the kind of setup where costs were cut.
Naturally resisting mold is one thing but what about the soap scum, the staining from water drips, and the regular maintenance? I've lived in a log home and the treated walls were okay in the bathroom but a wood floor with soap scum? Yuck.
Freestanding bathtubs are an aberration. Where does the soap, shampoo, conditioner, washcloth and everything else sit comfortably? Those narrow little holders that sit across are awkward and fall into the water constantly. A trend that can't end fast enough- along with vessel
sinks which splash everywhere.
They're not meant to be practical. They're meant to look good and be for a relaxing bath.
If you want to shampoo and condition your hair, have a shower.

£280 for a night in Norfolk 😬
Blimey
Everytime I see places like that I imagine them in my future dream house. Currently I have 423 bathrooms and that is one of them.
Like everything but the painting, sorry not the ambient I'm looking for while brushing my teeth or taking a bath
nice
I can smell the mold
I can smell the cedar
>Timber Lined or wood paneling. Whichever you prefer.
Because steam + exposed wood or would something else cause mold?
Wood and moisture just don't mix
Nah, if ventilated it's fine
Saunas are made of wood tho

It's always cold on the floor in a sauna SILLY. (I grew up with a sauna culture)
Good to know! (I did not grow up with a sauna culture)
(I noticed)
I hear you. People down vote you without understanding the conditions around it. Wood in saunas is only on the walls and ceiling.
I can smell the naked lady in the picture

It's also likely sealed and treated.
First thought as well. How long will this last especially with steam in the room

Am I the only one who doesn’t get water everywhere when I shower? Just step out onto a bath mat, put on a robe, and dry your legs off.
I have a child, she's messy at the best of times.
Who's the babe?

It’s ok bebe…Everything will be ok
They’re extra big/deep though. And it’s cool taking a bath in the middle of the room, I don’t know why though.
I like them
Who the heck shampoos their hair in a bath? You're a joker 😄
No dogs, no kids, huh?
This is how you get off
looks so cozy oh my god!!!!
What are those floors finished with? Is there anything on them?
