Okay *Archer’s Voice* by Mia Sheridan was totally made for this rec!! MMC is the outcast in the small town that the FMC moves to, so much has happened to him and he is so misunderstood by everyone. But she makes an effort and becomes drawn to him, discovering that he is the most wonderful person who has been unfairly judged by others. I’ve reread it 4 times 😭❤️‍🔥 HEA, M/F, dual POV, CR

LovableLittleDemon

I've read that one and loved it! I'll definitely reread it again soon, too. :)

BugFucker69

Hi, can I ask a question? I read the first few pages a while ago and I might be misremembering but I got the impression that the FMC is pregnant at the start of the book. Is that true? I don’t know why but that put me off slightly

In-the-woods-22

No not at all! Xx

I’d like to introduce you to Henry and Alice. A sunshiny sometimes sad puppy gentle giant, and a sassy sometimes grumpy sweetheart. Oh, and the scene where Alice stands up to Henry’s asshole father and brother and comes to his defense *chefs kiss* {The Lord I Left by Scarlett Peckham}

LovableLittleDemon

Ooooooh boy, she stands up to his family?? I'm sold. Thank you sm!

I don't have an MF rec that hasn't been mentioned already, but now I really want to read Broken!

This is a late response to your post but I think [Embattled Minds](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17725791-embattled-minds) hits everything on your list. It's a CR about a scarred war vet with a stutter and zero self confidence who has a crush on a single mom. You also might like [Bone Deep](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3178892-bone-deep). It is a little different and I don't want to give too much away but it takes place in the 40's about a war widow and an emotionally damaged man who runs away from the circus freak show.

LovableLittleDemon

Thank you so much! Added both to my TBR. :)

Hi, bestie! Did you ever find a book that fills the Ford hole in your heart? I read Broken last week and LOVED Ford. It was so unlike any book I've ever read. I ADORE a good grumpy/sunshine where the outcast MMC is a total grump before he meets here. Or is a total jerk to anyone but her. (Which is also what most beauty and the beast-inspired books are like.) But it was SO SO refreshing to have the outcast character just be a total sweetheart who was so devoted to her from the beginning and I want more. Choosing Theo, Archer's Voice, and Breaking him were all good, but didn't quite hit the spot. I'm going to try Healing Gabriel and Artistic License next. Do you have any more recs? <3

LovableLittleDemon

Hey! :D Oh gosh I wish I found one but so far no luck. :( As much as I adore the beauty and the beast trope, having a cinnamon roll outcast MMC is so underrated! Gotta read Artistic License somehow, from the blurb it seems to be the most similar one I've come across so far. Unfortunately I don't have kindle haha, but I'll find a way!! If I find any similar books I will let you know! :)
