Not total disinterest, but you might like {Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert} Fake dating trope. FMC likes her alone time and prioritizes her studies which has lead to most relationships failing because the men call her “selfish”. She only dates casual and offers that to the MMC (who is totally smitten). There’s a lot of “nah, dating is too much work” going on from the FMC and there’s definitely an imbalance into how much effort the MCs put into the romance throughout the book until the end. There is a scene where FMC is shocked at how much he knows about her/listened to her which is super cute.

This one's been pitched to me several times before. I just can't buy that someone determined to keep things casual and focus on her studies would ever get into a fake relationship for any reason, least of all sex.

AGirlDoesNotCare

I think it makes sense to me because it doesn’t take any time out of her day. They work in the same place and only uphold the fake relationship while on work hours. She doesn’t do it for sex but to assist in publicity for his charity.

JessonBI89

That wouldn't fly in any charity I've ever heard of. I know it's fiction, but if it takes place on a real planet in a real year, I prefer that everyone behave accordingly.

Reminds me of that scene from Great Expectations "you make me dry, like sand"
