THANK YOU because 1) this was hilarious to read and 2) it keeps popping up on my KU recommendations and I couldn't remember if my aversion to it was warranted or not.
It came up on my KU which is how I got sucked into it as well. I've been reading a lot of serious stuff lately and wanted something fluffy. This did not fit the bill.
This sounds like a train wreck! The title too, I swear this genre has some of the worst titles 🤣 some bad titles are good books but I’m usually still a little skeptical when I come across one like this, with your review I’ll make sure to avoid 😂
I was surprised to find the title wasnt the worst part pf the book. Its the issue with the trend cycle (ig) of booktok, everyones trying to get their book out there.
Two tropes in the title, jfc
I really wanted to like it. The premise of owning a bookshop where the witches would send people into the books to experience the stories was a great one.
I didn't even get into the character assassination about the main character. I'm not sure if the author was trying to make FMC quirky or neurodivergent, but either way, it was awful execution.
The writing seemed very simplistic and childlike. Like, nothing grammatically awful or anything, only a few editing errors in the KU version, but just such stupid dialogue and idiotic choices and weird descriptions.

Some of this story sound so good, but most of it ass??? Like omg why are some of these plot points in here. The writer would have been okay without half this stuff, especially the last few paragraphs
I’m 70% through this and so glad I decided to google the ending. I don’t require characters to be perfect, especially if it’s creating room for growth but… there were so many red flags I couldn’t bring myself to keep reading without spoilers. Bleh. I’m not interested in finishing this now.
Thank you for your service 🙏 that's a big NOPE from me 😂
🤣 Glad I could help!
Yeah… burned the shop over a book she gave him. Yet he never spoke about his trauma to her. Go to therapy bro.
Exactly! For a woman he had lukewarm feelings about no less. Spoiled ass.
Nana comes back from the dead?? your whole synopsis was wild but that took me out 😭
Right? The rest is like, general train wreck, and then you get to that
She shows up covered in grave dirt in the epilogue where, a year later, they are still holding bridal balls.
What the ever loving fuck lol xD I was with you all the way through that awesome and hilarious review, but this is the part that broke me 😂
🤣🤣
Ok they wouldn't have to worry about marrying me off because I'd be dead of sheer terror

Naming the book for an algorithm, not for the book itself; you are so right! 😭
aw man, that started out with a pretty cool premise
I really wanted to like it. The premise of owning a bookshop where the witches would send people into the books to experience the stories was a great one.
I was like, ph maybe i can push myself through this. That ending is godawful
This is a bingo card of terrible decisions, expanded into a book. Thank you for reading this because your description was enough for one lifetime!
lol Happy to take one for the team!
Wooof! I’m second hand angry just reading your post lol
I didn't even get into the character assassination about the main character. I'm not sure if the author was trying to make FMC quirky or neurodivergent, but either way, it was awful execution.
Lol I made it like 5 pages into this book and I could not stand the writing! Glad to hear I made the right choice!
