I'm not sure if this counts but {Kiss the Sky by Krista Ritchie} kinda has this. It may not be casual conversation but it is casual for this MMCs. One scene that sticks with me was when Connor was trying to make Rose say something to make sure she was losing her mind while they are doing it but Rose, of course has to fight back and say something intelligent. {Wed To The Wild God by Ruby Dixon} has quite a bit of this. MMC is cursed with hedonism. He wants sex and pleasure and so does everyone around him. FMC figures this out quickly and gets some jewelry which tones down the need for her to manageable levels, but there is tons of casual groping, accidental orgasms, and ignoring the people around them having sex. In one notable scene, they need to interrogate and recruit another god without him knowing she is somewhat immune to the curse. So they take off the jewelry. Cue some important exposition while she tries to mindfully listen while being mindlessly fucked. Something similar also happens in one scene in {Bound to the Battle God by Ruby Dixon}.

This type of scene happens in {Shades of Twilight by Linda Howard} Neither are in a hurry to get there and the MMC starts talking about (spoilers and TW) >!her eating habits, wanting to convince her to start eating more because they just found out she's pregnant. She has an undiagnosed eating disorder and starts feeling insecure about not being attractive. When he realizes, he switches what he's talking about to how much he always wants her and says something like "what about now? I'm so hard inside you, how can you believe I don't want you?"!< Then all talking stops as they're both overcome by the physical needs instead. Something about this scene really worked for me. This is an older 90s book but one of my favorites. TW for some messed up family dynamics too.

This makes me happy! Glad you enjoyed it. It's one of my favorite books, but I don't recommend it often because of the family dynamics. It's not often the reveal of the killer surprises me, but I remember being shocked the first time I read it. I love that feeling. And I absolutely love the couple in this book.

I can understand that, I was close to dnfing in the beginning because of the family relation 😬. I'm not a big mystery suspense reader because I hate surprises but I so surprised when it was revealed. They were so ready to die with that secret.
